Very disappointed. I made the reservation for this workshop 3 months before my visit to Maui. It was something my friend and I had always wanted to do - and what a great place and time!
My credit card was charged, as agreed, 2 days before the date our class was scheduled. Then, the day before our class, I was notified that my reservation was cancelled due to “overbooking”.
This was very frustrating, as it was our last day on the island and I had no chance to reschedule. If the class was overbooked, why did they charge my card, and why was MY reservation the one that was cancelled since I made the reservation so far in advance?
Of course, I have not gotten a satisfactory answer to my inquiries, nor have I gotten a refund yet. I am very disappointed, both with the studio and with Viator.
Next time I will just book my tours and experiences directly with the operators.

Dara was ABSOLUTELY awesome. I don’t have an artistic bone in my body and to be quite frank, I was quite proud of what she helped me create. She explains the process. She explains why we do what we do and when we run into a problem she was there too make it better. And also, she had a great personality and bonded with her students.

This is a must do while in Maui! We had a blast with the best teacher ever, Dara! She was so patient and knowledgeable. Her workshop was gorgeous and outdoors. Perfect Hawaiian activity. Dara offered snacks; Drinks, Fresh Cookies, and Chocolates. Our pieces look so beautiful, thanks to Dara. We will definitely book this again when we come back.

I truly enjoyed my time with this project. No one else showed up and I was able to learn more techniques since I am learning to make my own ocean art. The snacks were amazing. There are also gorgeous pieces that you can purchase. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about this adventure. 10 out of 10 highly recommend!

This was such an amazing experience! The instructor was super friendly and made it so much fun! She helped us from beginning to end and we made beautiful pieces to take back home with us. She had refreshments and great music. Overall, the whole thing was simply amazing. I would 100% recommend this to anyone!

This was an awesome experience! Dara is the absolute sweetest and nicest human being and was so welcoming. She greeted us with flowers for our hair and made us feel right at home. The area is beautiful with flowers and plants and even a lime tree. My mom and I upgraded to turtle shaped boards and I loved we had cute practice boards we got to take as well. She walked us through everything and was so helpful while still making sure that the board was all our own. I loved all the little refreshments that she had available and she was so accommodating to my dad who also came as a spectator and invited him to enjoy the refreshments as well. This is an experience that you won’t regret booking and that you will want to come back and do again. The resin does have to cure for 24 hours and I’m so excited to go pick mine up along with the little figurines we got to make with the extra resin!

This is a must-do while on Maui! Dara was wonderful, knowledgeable and so fun to make these resin boards with. Luckily, she had a reschedule within our class time - so we had the pleasure of a private class, making the experience so much more special! Making our own Maui souvenirs was much more special than making a similar purchase in stores, this truly was a one-of-a-kind experience. Happy to spend our one year "Maui'd" here!

We visited Kai Luna Creations on our first full day in Maui, and it was an unforgettable experience! We were warmly greeted by the vibrant and sunny Dara, who invited us into her beautiful garden. Under the gazebo, we found sweet pineapple, refreshing drinks, freshly baked cookies, and workstations all set up and ready for us. We even got to choose our own apron colors and received a beautiful plumeria flower for our hair—such a lovely touch!
Dara was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. Throughout the class, she guided us through choosing our boards, selecting colors (all of which we later saw reflected in the beaches and during our visit to the Molokini Crater), and the step-by-step process of creating our artwork. What really stood out was that we began by practicing on sample boards, which helped us understand our preferences before starting our final pieces.
The entire lesson was peaceful and inspiring. We enjoyed the music, Dara’s amazing stories, and her attentive guidance making our waves. All three of us would definitely recommend this as a perfect way to start your Maui vacation—not only for the wonderful memories but also for the beautiful, personalized keepsakes you'll take home.

We had a great time at this souvenir making class. The instructor was very welcoming, friendly and ready to share tips, tricks and recommendations for our boards. Our boards came out beautiful and we can't wait to show them off.

This was such a fun and unique thing to do on the island. We made the MOST beautiful boards!!! Dara is a wonderful hostess, she spoiled us with fresh fruit, assorted waters, and fresh baked delicious muffins!!! Honestly, it was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon!! We spend lot of time on Maui, and just discovered this activity and Dana. It's is so interesting and fun and easy with Danas guidance. She is extremely knowledgable, very organized and provides clear lessons and high end materials. Along with drinks and treats and a ton of Aloha. Her entire set up is first class and you create a useful and beautiful item for yourself or for a gift. This is now a top 3 in my recommendation list to friends of what to do in Maui. We will be back to make holiday gifts for friends and family. Go- you will be very happy you did.
