Our photographer (Sara) was wonderful. We had a family session that included two young boys (11 and 8). Sara was very helpful, kind, and a professional. She interacted very well with our children, took candids, and beautiful family staged pictures. We also had a great experience with Frank to setup the session and purchase photos afterwards. We are here for our 25th anniversary 2.5yrs late. We wanted to do something we have never done before. We had Nicole taking our pictures and she was amazing!!! She made us feel comfortable and guided us on what to do. She also asked us what we wanted to do. She even climbed into some bushes to get the pic she wanted. She gave us information on places to visit. I am very thankful we got her as our photographer.

Branden was our photographer and he made this event AMAZING! He had great photo ideas, he let us take the silly photos, he helped us incorporate Santa hats for our Christmas photos in August! He was patient with getting toddlers and teens to cooperate. This was better than i had hoped and we can’t wait to see the results. We had the best experience with Shizen on Po‘olenalena Beach in Maui! He was incredibly patient and flexible while working with our group of six, and he had a great eye for poses that felt natural and flattering. I especially appreciated how detail-oriented he was fixing things like hair or a shirt out of place before taking the shot. One of the highlights was that he let us look at the photos as we went along so we could see how they were turning out, which made the whole session feel collaborative and fun. The photos came out absolutely beautiful, and we couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend Shizen if you’re looking for a talented and thoughtful photographer in Maui!

Really easy booking, Frank reached out to us about the booking information and photographer. This is a must do on the island. I have always wanted really nice family photos and decided to try doing them on our vacation to Maui. Felix was our photographer. He was really nice and knew all the great poses and places to go for pictures. He is clearly a top notch professional at what he does. He got along well with our whole family. We enjoyed our session. Our photographer was Ian. He has lived on Maui for over 20 years and did a great job with our photo session. He was fun to talk to about the island and his experiences living there. The picture previews on his camera looked amazing. We do not get the final photos for 7-10 business days. My only complaint is that we didn't do any really creative shots - it was standing in same position more or less just in different places. He was however willing to go back to the beach where we married, Paipu in Makena, so that was a plus since it was our 20th wedding anniversary and our photos (family now with twin daughters) were on the beach where we married. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I predict I will be very satisfied with our edited pix.
