Jaoa was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and made the experience great for both the adults and kids. The private tour and not having to navigate driving, parking and buying tickets for the various locations was well worth the cost.

I traveled with my parents and brother and wow, I’ve never been so comfortable or laughed so hard in a tour. Not a moment of boredom João is sooo nice, he even brought us dessert which touched us so deeply. So worth your money!

We had a wonderful day with Susana in Sintra. Her English was excellent and knowledge of Portuguese history and Sintra was impressive. She always made sure we were always enjoying the tour and went above and beyond in providing information about Portugal outside of the tour. You can tell she is passionate about her country and job. We had a wonderful time with Miguel as our guide! He was an expert at navigating the crowds and lines so that we spent minimal time waiting and maximum time exploring and learning about the Moorish castle and Pena Palace. Miguel shared his extensive knowledge of the sights and recommended a great cafe in Sintra for lunch. After lunch we altered the tour plan and went to Cascais to see the ocean and enjoy a glass of Portuguese wine. Abrigado!

We thoroughly enjoyed our day in Sintra with Nuno! A Sintra resident, Nuno brought fresh perspective, local color, and humor to our day. His skillful, confidence-inspiring driving and mastery of the traffic patterns around the city and attractions made for a pleasant, comfortable, efficient experience. As advertised, we covered a lot of ground, taking more than 12,000 steps as we navigated around and through the major attractions, so comfortable shoes are an absolute requirement. Nuno provided excellent suggestions for lunch on the day of our tour and even offered recommendations for a route and towns to visit on our self-guided trip up the coast of Portugal the following day. We are so happy to have met Nuno and to have included this tour as part of our visit to Portugal!

This was hands down our most favorite tour EVER! It was worth every penny. Susana was an amazing tour guide. She was friendly, outgoing and extremely knowledgeable about the monuments. Susana made navigating to each castle effortless and made very efficient use of our time. She is very charismatic and was able to troubleshoot her way through all of the chaos with the large crowds. We never felt rushed and were able to document our experience through her amazing photography skills. Book this excursion with Susana, she will not disappoint!

Highly recommend this tour. Our guide, Joao was amazing, very knowledgeable and had some great jokes too! It really helped that all the tickets were included and all we had to do was show up and everything was taken care of. The only way to see Sintra is by private tour. The sites are separated and the town's streets are hopelessly confusing and full of traffic. Our guide Nuno and our driver were excellent, gracious and helpful. We were effortlessly chauffeured between the sites in a comfortable car. Detailed explanations of the history of what we were viewing were given and we had the time to fully appreciate what we were seeing. Suggestions for the best places for pictures were shared. We also had free time for a leisurely lunch. An unforgettable experience. It was well worth the cost.

Rui is a gem! This tour had a lot of walking, plus it rained hard. I have bad knees, and Rui chose paths with the fewest stairs the least steep inclines possible. We were able to see everything and enjoyed the day immensely!

You will learn everything about the history of Sintra. Jao made everything interesting and his knowledge was truly amazing. There was no question we asked that he couldn’t explain in detail!
Jao also had a sense when we were struggling a bit with the hilly areas. He found places for us to sit a bit while he explained more about the history of this beautiful place.
The best tour I have taken in all of Europe!!

Miguel was an amazing guide! He did a great job with showing details of the freemasons as well as knowing dates and timelines. He was able to answer all our questions. He is a wealth of information. Loved seeing the sites and learning all the history. The time in town I wish we had instead gone to a fourth site like Montserrat, but know that others may not be as into history as we are! Sintra is beautiful and must- see excursion. 10/10 would book with Miguel again! On time and great communication.

We loved our tour to Sintra - one of the most beautiful places in the world. Our guide was on time and very polite and welcoming. He gave us a lot of interesting information on the way to Sintra and on the drive back, and recommended a great place to eat lunch. His "suave" demeanor made our experience very comfortable and enjoyable.
Very informative tour, full of history, humor and little known facts about Portuguese monarchy and other significant players. Plenty of picturesque photo opportunities.
Sintra is busy, but bad weather made our wait times shorter, which we appreciated very much. Regardless, this place is totally worth waiting in line.

Even thou it rained it was a great tour. We got to see Sintra and many other historical sites. The tour guide was very knowledgeable of the history surrounding ALL the sites. One highlight was walking the steps of the Initiation Well.
