A fun trip which takes in some of the main sights around Lisbon, Our guide, Bruno, was informative and looked after the group well, the bikes are in great condition and easy to ride around the streets.

Our tour guide, Bruno, was the best tour guide we had in Portugal and possibly the best tour guide we’ve ever had.
Also, we were nervous having never been on e-bikes before, and with the hills of Lisbon, and it could not have been easier.

Eduardo was such a fantastic guide, so friendly and knowledgeable about Lisbon. Myself, my husband and 2 boys really enjoyed our bike tour! The traffic and hills of Lisbon are not for the faint hearted but Eduardo made sure we were safe!

We really enjoyed this bike tour. Daniel was a great tour guide- looked after us very well and gave us lots of info about the city. A good mix of cycling, stops and chatting with others in the group.
Such a hilly city but the electric bikes made it very easy.
Would definitely recommend as an introduction to the city

The E-bike tour of Lisbon Essential is for experienced bike riders. The streets of Lisbon are not very bike-friendly - rough cobblestones, trolley tracks to dodge, steep uphills and downhills. So, even though you are on an e-bike, you need to pedal to get up the hills. It isn't strenuous but it takes some effort. If you are not confident with your bike riding skills, you should probably not go on this tour.
Having said that, we really LOVED this tour! Jorge was an excellent guide. He gave an interesting commentary (including history and culture) while leading us around Lisbon to multiple viewpoints and through the various neighborhoods. Jorge did a great job preparing us for the ride with tips for riding on the Lisbon terrain. So, if you are up to the challenge, it is a perfect way to see Lisbon. I would recommend going on it early in your stay so that you can return to areas of interest and spend more time there.

It was such a delightful adventure for our first day in Lisbon. Jorge lead us biking through several neighborhoods and got a taste of their vibes. He started the tour in front of a giant mural that told several monumental moments in Lisbon history. Jorge was always in the front to spot any traffic and made sure we are safe to cross the streets. It is really like having a wise and considerate friend to introduce this beautiful city. We can't image a better introduction to Lisbon.

We absolutely loved this tour with Xavier Martins. He was so kind and genuine and knowledgeable. We learned so much but never felt overwhelmed with the amount of information or rushed. He truly made us feel special and we saw so much. My 10 year old rode with my husband and my 12 year old loved having his own ebike. We never felt unsafe or in any danger while riding. Thank you Xavier for an unforgettable day in Lisbon ❤️

Our tour with George was great. He was really knowledgeable about the history of Lisbon. He made sure that we were confident about how the bikes worked and made sure that we felt safe. If you're not used to city bike riding or are nervous about hills, this may not be the specific tour for you, but they have flatter options.

If I could give this tour 10 stars, I would. George is truly the best tour guide I’ve ever had — and I’ve done bike tours all over the world. He was patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and deeply passionate about Portugal and its culture, which is exactly what most of us hope to experience when traveling. I genuinely feel I received far more than I paid for — you can’t put a price on such an outstanding human. I was even late, and the owner kindly walked to come get me (and a quick tip: Apple Maps wasn’t the most reliable). The tour itself felt like a love story to Portugal. The ride is moderately hilly, as is the city, so come prepared — you’ll stop often for rich insight, and knowing how to use your gears makes a big difference. As we say in Igbo culture, *“Onye ji ikele ekele kporu ihe, na-ebi ndu dolu edo”* — “One who lives with gratitude keeps a settled and clear mind.” You can truly feel George’s gratitude and heart for Portugal throughout the entire experience, and it makes the tour unforgettable.

We had an amazing experience exploring Lisbon by electric bike, riding all the way to Belém. Our guide, Jorge, was exceptional — very polite, friendly, and genuinely interested in making sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the tour. He was extremely flexible with the pace and the route, always adapting to our needs and preferences. Jorge shared interesting facts about the city and its history, while also creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The e-bikes made the ride effortless, even on Lisbon’s hills. Overall, it was a fantastic way to see the city, and we highly recommend this tour, especially with Jorge as your guide.

Xavier was our guide.
I’d love to do a full day tour because he is so knowledgeable about the city’s sites and history. He’s charming, humorous, and has a wealth of detail and stories.
Have no fear of the hills on these powerful and well maintained e-bikes! A small amount of pedaling takes you up the steepest inclines with ease!

This was a fantastic tour! We covered so much of Lisbon at a relaxed pace. Plenty of photo opportunities and history included. Our guide Jorge was wonderful, a great personality and made the trip very fun with his local knowledge. We would recommend this tour for any new visitors to Lisbon trying to get a feel for the beautiful capital. We were actually hungover and despite the daunting prospect of hills to e-bikes make it so easy! Only one or two that required any effort at all!

E-bike experience isn’t necessary - Daniel, our guide, explained all that was necessary for our ride. I was a little concerned about riding an e-bike in Lisbon with all the people & traffic but things worked out well. There are bike lanes in some areas and overall, I felt very safe. My wife and I are experienced bicyclists but are novice e-bikers and we were happy with the bikes. Daniel, our guide, was knowledgeable, professional, and very helpful in showing us the highlights of Lisbon. Kudos for a great tour!

Bike tour with Gruno was awesome! He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. E-bike made it easy but you need to be comfortable on a bike among lots of pedestrians and traffic.

Fantastic few hours being guided through Lisbon by the knowledgeable and fluent-in-English Bruno on e-bikes. First time to the city so great intro to the hilly layout and loved hearing about the city’s colourful history. Fun activity to do with our young adult kids, followed by superb Liboa lunch recommended by Bruno at O Velho Erico. Highly highly recommend this tour!

We bailed part way. The biggest issue is the guide was unsafe. Never signaling. Are we turning right? Left? Straight? Up over the curve into a crowded pedestrian mall with marble paving and then slamming on the breaks?
The bottled water included? Nope. At the first stop I asked for some and he said we could buy some at the next stop. We then proceeded to spend over 10 minutes at that stop where there were vendors. There were no stops with vendors for at least 40 more minutes.
Beyond that the guides English really wasn’t up to tour guide levels and he was not very engaging.
At one point he offered to take our photo at a lookout. Its a nice family photo in which you can see not one bit of Portugal. Why take it? Posted here.
Yes, the streets have trolley lines, cobblestones, and steep hills. But I find it suspicious that the path the guide took quickly diverged from the other 3 tours that left the shop same time as ours and only on the one flat section did we see other companies bike tours. I am sure there were safer routes.
The helmets. The foam was super solid. I am sure they are way past their expiration dates.

Great fun and you get to see so much of Lisbon. We biked through several neighborhoods and went to 3 city view points to enjoy panoramic views. Jorge was a fantastic guide and gave us a lot of information about what we were seeing. You should probably not be a beginner cycler for this tour.
