David is an excellent and very responsive communicator, highly knowledgeable about history and culture, had great tips and recommendations, and is a generous person. Although a Portugal and Lisbon native, his deep curiosity about other countries and cultures meant he was able to hold interesting conversations and connect things for us. He is fluent in English (I thought he was an American!). He took us to a restaurant that served authentic Portuguese food (several courses) that was quite inexpensive. We had a great time with David and highly recommend him.

We had an incredible tour of the The Algarve. David was simply the best - always making sure we had what we needed. We felt as though we were in the best hands possible exploring so many areas. We took the boat ride, and David arranged that for us. Then we went to all of his favorite spots for food and sightseeing. We took tons of great photos with David pointing out the best spots for them. We saw so much beauty that day and we feel we got the very best experience possible!
Our 2nd tour was to Sintra. Again, we had the best day with David leading the way. We loved every minute of this tour and learned so much history from David (on both tours!). Do not hesitate to book any tours with David's company. He is an amazing human being, and he cares about Portugal deeply. We learned and saw so much in the 2 days we spent together. We cannot recommend David enough.

My husband and I had an incredible experience on the Private Algarve Tour from Lisbon to Benagil, Lagos, and Carvoeiro with our guide, David. From start to finish, he made the day seamless, fun, and memorable. David spoke excellent English and was incredibly knowledgeable—sharing not only the historical background of each location but also unique regional facts we wouldn’t have discovered on our own.
He took us to all the must-see spots, including a boat ride through the famous Benagil caves, scenic viewpoints with breathtaking coastal views, and a fantastic local restaurant where we enjoyed authentic Portuguese cuisine. The day ended perfectly at a beautiful beach, where we relaxed and soaked up the sun.
The tour was very comfortable and well-paced. What made it even better was David’s thoughtfulness—after the tour, he sent us a curated list of recommendations for the rest of our trip. We highly recommend this tour and especially David—he truly made our visit to Portugal unforgettable!

One thing was really great was Daniel was able to pick us up at our hotel. This is so convenient for us as a group. He came prepared with waters and the drive down to the Algarve included breaks along the way which is always a good thing. Daniel’s personality was over the top! He is kind, funny and very, very knowledgeable of the country. We saw so much, we stoped and had a GREAT lunch at this local place he knew of. We always do pick ups at our guests' hotels or apartments. Since we only provide private tours we don't have to go to multiple places before picking you up or drop you off.
We also always provide bottled water and wi-fi to our guests, to make sure they have a nice comfortable trip. Stops on the way are also something we do to maximize comfort. Glad you enjoyed it!
As for lunch, we always have a few places we can recommend depending on what people want to eat. Sometimes it is a local hole-in-the-wall type of restaurant, sometimes seafood with a view. You are the bosses. We just cater to what you wish.
We also thank Viator for hooking us up with lovely people like you. Even though the selection is huge nowadays we are happy to see people like you still prefer QUALITY over lower prices. You get what you pay for (and maybe more!)

My wife and I spent the entire day (12+ hrs) with our amazing guide Daniel, and it was the most memorable day of our 10day trip to Portugal. Daniel was friendly, knowledgeable, and treated us like lifelong friends. He customized our day to our wishes, ending with a beautiful sunset and a delectable seafood dinner. David planned a fantastic day. His knowledge, care, and attention to detail made the day special, especially with activities like the 2 ½ hour ride to the southern tip of Portugal, the boat ride around the Algarve caves, a walking tour in Lagos, time spent at a beautiful beach, and planning a fantastic lunch at an amazing seafood restaurant in Lagos.

This was the most incredible day trip my cousin and I have ever been on! From the get go, Daniel and David were very friendly, communicative, and organized. Prior to our trip, they checked in with us regarding whether we wanted to take the optional boat ride through the beaches and caves of Carvoeiro and Benagil (which we would highly recommend!) and took into consideration what we wanted to see and do. Daniel was the best guide we could have asked for. He gave my cousin and I the most incredible day and experience of our trip in Portugal. He made our trip go so smoothly and perfectly. He went above and beyond throughout the entire day and made sure to customize every part of the trip based on our interests. This trip was full of tours but our Algarve experience with David was the highlight of our time in Portugal. Even with the clouds, it was stunning. He came prepared for everything! This goes down as one of my favorite tours, not because of the place or weather, but because of the group. What a legendary group you all are. I am still telling stories to my family about that day.
I always try to tell people to take all of their tours with us, but most times they either don't pay attention or don't want to risk doing that because they don't know us and then regret it when we spend the day together. The good thing is that you can always return and whoever is reading this can avoid that mistake by booking all their tours with us instead of having multiple companies taking them. You definitely get more than you pay for on our tours.
It would have been even better if the clouds weren't there, but we still made it work and before we left we had a lot of sunshine to enjoy the drinks with an ocean view.

Do yourself a favor and ask for Daniel or David. They are very thorough and attentive detail. Our trip started on time and we had full control over the schedule. He gave us great suggestions and did not leave us a stray. He also gave us some things to think about which we took advantage of and we’re so glad that we did. David, our tour guide picked us up from our hotel and he was absolutely amazing! His knowledge of the area is extensive and we loved the fun trivia we learned along the way. Our morning drive to Portimao to pick up our boat was lovely. The boat tour of the coast was breathtaking and entering the caves felt magical. Lunch in Lagos at an authentic Portuguese restaurant was a must do! Followed by seeing the cliffs at Ponte da Piedade.Don’t miss students beach and walking through the small cave. I gave this tour 10 out of 10 because David was so great and would give it more as it was truly a fabulous day!

We could not have asked for more out of our Algarve trip!!! Truly, David was incredible. Friendly, caring, knowledgeable, and accommodating. He exceeded our expectations in every aspect possible. Showing us breathtaking sights, introducing us to local cuisine, and ensuring we were happy and comfortable throughout our time with him. He always made sure we had water, and even provided some snacks so we didn’t become hangry :)
The car drive there and back felt so short as David does a great job of keeping conversation going and we were able to learn so much about the area from a local!! The Algarve region is so stunningly beautiful, take the day and take this tour. We started the day at on overlook that just teased us in to what we were going to see the rest of the day! Then we drove along the coast through these amazing little towns to get to Portimao for a 2 hour boat tour that went east along the coast into all sorts of caves and we even saw a dolphin! After the boat tour, David took us to this amazing restaurant that was guiltingly cheap and VERY tasty. Staff was lovely. Food was so fresh and all inclusive for 12.50 euro (not sure how they make $ - worth a tip). Ponta da Piedade is a beautiful lighthouse with lovely boardwalks to take in the gorgeous views. Saving the best for last was our guide David. As the tour operator, he really gives out such a detailed tour and makes the day fun. I would love to give this tour a 10 but sadly limited to the 5 stars allowed. David was a great communicator before the tour setting details with us to ensure the day was successful. Yes it 2.5 hours out of LIsbon but the drive was easy and rest stops available. David was a conscientious driver and guide throughout our day. Would I hire David for another tour? Yes absolutely!

Like you said, the boat ride was incredible as usual and so was lunch. For the ones that like going to local places and try local food made with love at a family owned restaurant, I always have THE place. Obviously I always adapt to what people want to eat and give them different options but this is always my favorite lunch spot.
In this business, communication is KEY! So I always try to do my best to make sure people feel comfortable before my tours and know that I care about them. We treat people like family, not like a number. Sometimes you find tours that are cheaper but you get treated like a number. I hate that as a tourist so we strive to provide the best experience to our soon-to-be friends.

I had never booked a tour on Viator before, but after reading the reviews for this tour, I decided to give it a try. I am definitely glad I did! David was amazing. He communicated before the tour so we knew exactly what to expect prior to meeting up. He took my mom and I to a local restaurant which was delicious! He planned the trip perfectly so we were able to visit a lot of beaches without ever feeling rushed and we got to stay longer at the one of the beaches we really liked. He was so helpful and he captured most of the beautiful pictures I have from the trip. He also gave us great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit in other parts of Portugal that we were traveling to later in the week. I will definitely book again when I go back to Portugal. Thank you so much David!! My mom and I loved the tour and it was definitely the highlight of our trip!

David was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs. We traveled with our teens, and he was flexible with their interests and patient with our changing plans. He also recommended restaurants and activities for other days and locations we didnt have planned with him. Highly recommend!

David our tour guide was fantastic, making the trip phenomenal.
I’d like to give 10 stars but the site will only allow for a five!!
The boat ride he recommended was well worth it. The entire tour is 12 hours or so but well worth it.
I am so glad we booked the trip and David was our guide.

We loved our Algarve tour with Daniel. He picked us up right on time in a lovely new VW van. He capably drove us to many beautiful scenic places in the Algarve. Daniel was very knowledgeable about the area and provided interesting and informative commentary. We would highly recommend Daniel and this tour for anyone who wants to see the awesome scenery of Southern Portugal. We could not have asked for a more helpful and competent guide.
