There were only four participants on our tour, so our guide really tried to incorporate a couple of extra stops and stories that would not have been possible with a larger group. the tour itself was pretty good, probably one of he better ghost tours I have been on in the last few years, which says quite a bit given that i probably go on at least three such tours a year.

I love ghost tours and go on one every time I visit a haunted city. Unfortunately, this tour was super disappointing. After going through all the options on Viator, I chose this one based on the itinerary and reviews. I really wish we went on a different one. Our tour guide told us that since there was only 5 people in our group, she was going to be extra dark. We assumed that meant she could tell us the true dark details of the ghost stories. Instead she took it upon herself to curse (using the F-word quite frequently) and bring up personal family issues that were not pertinent to one of the ghost stories at all. She started off her introduction saying she couldn’t wait to leave Key West and thought the place was s**t and meanwhile we hadn’t even started the tour about the town we were visiting. My two friends were with me and one of them had never been on a ghost tour before and I have to hope it doesn’t prevent her from going on one with me in future. My friends and I are a younger crowd (30s/40s) but still found the inappropriate remarks, attempts at dirty humor, and cursing distasteful and unnecessary. The other two people in the group were an older couple and we were shocked they made it to the end of the tour considering how weird and off-putting she got. When I asked a question about one of the stories, she claimed she didn’t know the answer or anything else about it because she doesn’t know the owners of one of the haunted buildings meanwhile she said she was 19 years old and was born and raised in Key West. When she didn’t know other answers, she said it’s because she’s only been doing the job for about 2 months. So I guess we are to assume she just memorized a script and doesn’t really want to show interest in the material to engage her audience. If there is any chance whatsoever of getting a refund, I would definitely want the option. This tour was in no way worth any amount of money let alone the $100+ I spent for the three of us. The tours I’ve found on Viator have never disappointed me until now.

Our guide was really good. He was very knowledgeable about the darker history of Key West. He really knows his stuff. He told us a lot of very interesting stories. He didn’t rush through anything and answered our questions. My wife and I would definitely recommend this walking tour.

Sonya was great - a really gifted story teller who was born and raised on the island. The pace of the tour was perfect, and it focused on a few really detailed stories rather than the more typical “people hear noises here” ghost tour fare (although she did mention things like this as we walked). Honestly the best ghost tour I’ve been on.

Nice walk around the city at night. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable story teller with good voice projection and acting skills. The tour was interesting, a lot of facts and jokes. Our family had a lot of fun.
However, the lighthouse was not included. It would definitely add value to it.
