Jimmy Buffett spent a lot of time in Key West. Learn about his time in the area and visit the places that had a big impact on his life and career on this walking tour around Old Key West. Hear stories and see places you're unlikely to discover on your own, with a small group of just 15 people.
Make your way to the Margaritaville Restaurant on Duval Street to meet your guide. Over the course of 1.5 hours, discover where Jimmy Buffett played his first and other gigs, his recording studio, locations that provided inspiration for his songs, as well as his favorite restaurants and watering holes.
Afterwards, stop for a slice of Key Lime Pie, and visit Mallory Square, the location of the first Margaritaville, before ending the tour at Capt. Tony’s Saloon with an alcoholic drink.

Emily was an excellent tour guide!! Her knowledge about both Jimmy and Key West exceeded our expectations. We have visited KW numerous times and been on lots of tours - this was one of the absolute best! Emily incorporated historical insight about Jimmy as well as KW, not to mention a treat along the way! Our tour guide was great with a super upbeat personality and very knowledgeable about Jimmy Buffett. The walking tour is about 2 miles, so wear comfortable shoes. The tour ends at Captain Tony's and she handed us a mini bottle of Chi Chi's brand of a Margarita, which was lame. I think it should have ended with a drink inside Captain Tony's. Otherwise, it was amazing!

The tour was very well done. Emily was friendly and full of Jimmy Buffet info as well as Key West information. We had a delicious piece of Key Lime Pie. That was a pleasant surprise. This tour exceeded our expectations

As a 30+ year parrothead I appreciate that all the locations are organized in a compact walking tour. For casual Buffett fans it’s a nice tour. However, if you are a bigger Buffett fan this may not be for you. I’m hoping it was just that our guide wasn’t great, as I believe this could be a fantastic tour with the right person leading it. Our guide was essentially reciting Wikipedia entries and was getting things wrong. Album names were wrong (White Sports Car instead of White Sports Coat), dates were wrong, people involved in the events at those locations were wrong. Also not being very specific about which building we were supposed to be looking at. Several people on the tour walked away halfway through the tour and didn’t come back. Our guide was very nice and helpful but did not have knowledge of the material. It was clear he was trying to remember what he read online or in a book and he struggled. With the proper person leading this would be a highlight tour for all parrotheads. You are in the real life Margaritaville and he didn’t even know that Buffett’s band played a concert in Key West less than 12 hours before the tour.

Not much new information here. After riding the trolley tour, I had seen and heard about most of the stops on the walking tour. Was disappointed that there wasn’t more information and stops on this two hour walking tour. More conversation and maybe some Jimmy Buffett trivia would have been entertaining as we walked from stop to stop. Tour guide was a very friendly man, but obviously did not have much background and was just repeating the narrative he was given.

This was an interesting experience. Got to see areas Jimmy Buffet played and lived. Don’t think those areas are known or able to view on your own. Was hoping for more history telling on Jimmy Buffet. Not enough time spent on him & why we booked it . Disappointed in the drink handed out at the end. Description made it sound like we’d all be having drinks together , or at least at the last stop.

This tour was great fun! We received some stories of Jimmy Buffett's early life, and walked to see the locations where he got his start - where he performed, where he lived, and where he ate. Liz also wove in a bit of Key West history, which really added depth to the tour.

This tour is pretty lame doesn't mention the other 2 places he lived in key west. Nobody cares about where Hemingway 1st stayed in key west nor do we care about a sign on a building saying nothing happened on a certain date nor do we care about the color of a roof on a porch regarding ghosts. Don't point to where the chart room is where he 1st played take the guests on the tour to the bar. Regarding the studio might be a idea mentioning the 1st album he recorded in the studio. Wasting time eating key lime at kermits and a small little margarita bottle. This tour is an embarrassment to his legacy

Hi Mark, one feature of our Jimmy Buffett tour is to share Key West history. Most guests actually do care to see where Hemingway first lived , and be shown that ceilings on porches are painted haint blue to ward off evil spirits. The Chart room opens at 6pm for guests, our tour is at 10am. Eating key lime pie at Kermit's is one the tour highlights of many guests. Our tour is designed to show guests the places that Jimmy lived, worked, and played, and share the incredible history of Key West. So sorry YOU missed all that.

Took the tour over a year ago with Caleb and had a fantastic experience. I came back this year with my wife and sister and had a different guide that was not informative. I would have barely called it a Jimmy Buffett tour.

We enjoyed our Labor Day weekend tour, where we learned about Jimmy Buffett’s life, legacy, and inspirations, in old town Key West. Our Guide was fun, knowledgeable, and clear. As long time Parrottheads it was fun to place the stories. Would highly recommend!

Our guide, Tricia, was excellent! She was knowledgable and passionate about Key West and , most importantly, about Jimmy Buffett. She lived some of the years of Buffett on Key West and had great stories. I believe she did everything she was supposed to, but the experience could certainly be enhanced. I believed we would see where he lived, where he recorded, bars he played in and drank in such as the Chart Room. I went there on my own, but it could have been a good part of this tour. While we walked into Captain Tony’s and looked around, a drink there would have been nice. A sample of a cheeseburger in paradise at Margaritaville would have been fun. We did not go inside there, we just met in front of it. So to truly experience more of the Jimmy Buffett life would make this better! But the guide was awesome!
