We had a great time and learned so much about the history of the Keys and the waterways we traveled through. Going through the mangroves was a really cool experience. We also saw lots of wildlife. Isaac was really patient and calm. He was able to help everyone navigate and have fun from the newest to most experienced kyaker in the group. We had a great time. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Chris was an awesome guide. It was a little windy so everyone else in our group rescheduled but we couldn’t as it was our last night in town. He did a great job taking us to places we could still see a lot. We saw so many sea creatures and he was very knowledgable about them all. I would highly recommend doing this tour!

Pretty good

Leah_W, Aug 2026
Pros: Guide was excellent and knowledgeable. Made sure everyone knew what to expect. Learned everything you would ever want to know about algae and mangrove trees. Cons: The boats are NOT the clear acrylic crafts in the website photos. They have a fairly small viewing area on the bottom. Don’t expect to see much in the way of aquatic life. Water is dark and murky. Saw one small jellyfish and nurse shark. The path is often very narrow, surrounded by sharp branches. Difficult to navigate in the dark. Avoid if you are claustrophobic. Minimal parking and no clear signage to follow. We were asked to arrive a half hour early. But the guide never showed. The guide we got was great, but we left 35 minutes late. So over a hour to kill in a place with no restroom, just an outhouse . Would probably not do this again on the next trip. But fun to try once as an adventure.

Just do it :)

Gianni was a great guide, he was very knowledgeable about the different areas we kayaked through. He was on the lookout constantly for things we could possibly see. I went solo but there was a decently size group all together with other people that signed up. I was able to see a crab, a few nurse sharks, a jelly fish, and a massive tarpon. The bottom of the kayak was clear and had a light to help you see. I was able to put my phone down on the bottom of the kayak with a waterproof case and was able to catch one of the nurse sharks swimming under my kayak. Very cool experience, I highly recommend you do it. P.s. wear bug spray so you don’t go eaten alive it is at night and you do yo close to brushes and through mangroves.

Do it! So cool.

Awesome experience! Woukd absolutely do it again! Saw a baby shark, jelly fish and lobster. Plus learning about the aquatic life was cool. Bring bug spray.

Issac was a great tour guide. Night illumination under the kayaks was really meet. We saw all kinds of fish a few small sharks, crabs and starfish. Issac was great explaining about the history of the area and where to go to look for the different aquatic life.

Isaac was amazing!...

Anna_M, Jul 2026
Isaac was amazing! Because there wasn’t a tour after us, we were able to stay out later. Wonderful experience and would definitely do it again!

Tamela_B, Jul 2026
We would have rated this a 5 if a couple of the Kayaks lights didn’t die. Our tour guide was very informative and taught us a lot about the Oceab life and even got a Jellyfish on his paddle for everyone to see.

Spectacular experience....

Michelle_S, Jul 2026
Spectacular experience. The moon was out and the stars/planets were bright. If you like outdoor adventures, this is definitely for you. Kayaking through mangroves and open water at night is a truly unique experience. Captain John was brilliant in his guidance and knowledge. We already said next time we are back in Key West, we will book again. Smooth check in. Clear instructions. Thanks Captain John!

10/10 experience

It was very fun great tour guide. Didn’t get too wet and wasn’t too much of a work out on the arms……

Kristen_H, Jul 2026
Cool concept - if it was executed better. Our guide was late, so we got off to a rocky start. I recognize that you can’t control what sea life might be found, but this was pretty disappointing. Saw a couple nurse sharks and some minnows. That was about it. Guide wasn’t great, and kept paddling away and leaving people behind.

Fun

Crew was knowledgeable and guided us through the waters. We got to see jelly fish and coral. Will recommend

Very educational with a chill atmosphere. Guide was very passionate about the knowledge he shared. A bit buggy, don't forget the bug spray.

Erin_D, Jul 2026
Experience was great, your guide very knowledgeable. The only reason not giving 5 stars was due to sargassum that had killed all fish/jellfish so did not see anything which was a huge bummer. If you go just be prepared for minimal to zero animals.

Tabetha_B, Jul 2026
The sargasm had recently killed the fish in the area of the mangroves, so we saw no marine life. However, kayaking the mangroves at night was an experience I’m glad I had the chance to see. Really cool.

Haley_R, Jul 2026
We stayed near the cove. Did go through a mangrove. Only kayaked for maybe an hour. Saw a nurse shark, star fish, jellyfish, and lobsters. For the price we thought there would be more to see and more kayaking. I'll go ahead and recommend it to others but know what you're paying for.

Rory_C, Jul 2026
Caution there’s a very down step to the kayak dock. It’s got a a handhold to balance down but still steep. Our guide was Gianni Gragnano he was very sweet and informative about the area.

Myesha_W, Jun 2026
Really nice and relaxing . Slight mosquitoes but they have stuff to help. Tour guide was very helpful and knowledgeable.

A Good Time

Melanie_P, Jun 2026
A very nice way to spend an evening. Relaxing with a little exercise. Boats could have been a little cleaner/easier to see out the bottom. We didn’t see a ton of fish but did see some. Not the tour’s fault though, that would be hit or miss every time. Tour guide was great and we felt like the length of time/distance was perfect! Overall recommend.

Night kayak fun

John_P, Jun 2026
This is a fun little excursion, we saw some fish, lobster and crab. Being out in the dark in the mangrove was the funnest part.

Nice evening event. We had our 9 year old grandson who loved seeing the Nurse Sharks and other amazing ocean creatures.

Read booking instructions

Jodie_G, Jun 2026
They ask you to come 30 minutes before booking time for paperwork. Please do so- don’t make people wait for you. The experience itself was great! Sebastian was wonderful and very knowledgeable.

Ehh it was ok

Derek_K, Jun 2026
Kayak is just a window in the bottom not clear like the picture. My son couldn’t even see through his. We lined ours up side by side and complete difference. Showed the guide and he just said “hmm. Well mine isn’t that great either.” Didn’t see much more than jelly fish. Definitely bring bug spray, we got ate alive at the beginning.

Disappointed. Tour guide no showed

Donna_R, Jun 2026
We were at the site an hour ahead of time & our tour guide ever showed up. We had to uber there so extra expense. I called today to be reimbursed. Spoke to Amelia. She said she had to investigate. Still waiting to hear back. So disappointed.

Ok but bring bug spray

Steve_B, Jun 2026
Would’ve been nice to be told to bring bug spray. Guide was young and paddled a little too fast for us to keep up with in the pitch black mangroves.

False advertising…

Lezlie_S, Jun 2026
The kayaks are not as shown. They are not 100% clear and had we known that we wouldn’t have booked with them. They are regular kayaks with a “clear” bottom. “Clear” meaning super foggy and hard to see through. When others asked about the kayaks, the guide said he doesn’t know why Viator uses those pictures because they don’t have those kayaks. We also didn’t see anything except some jellys. Our guide was super nice and hardworking. It was also cool to go through the mangroves at night. I am requesting a partial refund for false advertising because we could have booked somewhere else, but I loved the idea of 100% clear kayaks as advertised so we booked through them.

Great experience .

Shareena_M, Jun 2026
Our experience was GREAT! Our tour guide, Gianni, was informative, personable, and made the entire tour enjoyable from start to finish. We booked the 8 PM tour, so there was still a little daylight when we started, but the sun quickly set and the clear-bottom kayaks took the experience to a whole different level. This tour happened during my husband’s and my 20th anniversary trip, and to our surprise, we ended up with a private tour because the other guests didn’t show. It worked out perfectly! We got to see a variety of wildlife, navigate through the mangroves, and really take in the beauty of the area. The mangroves were especially fun to paddle through, and overall it was an amazing experience. My husband and I are experienced kayakers, so we were able to jump right in and get going, but I think beginners would enjoy it as well. KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: * Apply bug spray! It’s the South, and the mosquitoes are definitely out there. * Wear water shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting a little wet. * Bring a waterproof phone case or dry bag. * Our tour guide had a headlamp, but I honestly wish I had brought my own, so if you have one, toss it in your bag. The full 90-minute tour never felt rushed, and we had plenty of time to enjoy the scenery and wildlife. If you’re looking for a unique and memorable experience, I highly recommend.

Lovely

Fantastic adventure!

Amanda_G, May 2026
Fantastic, definitely the coolest adventure we've ever done! 10/10! The mangrove "caves" were so fun to kayak through and seeing the sharks and sea slugs were so cool!

A fantastic guide and an unforgettable experience.

Jennifer_W, May 2026
Liv was an absolutely fantastic guide. She was so knowledgeable about the sea life and very helpful to both experienced and I experienced kayakers.

Fun way to experience the waters of key west. Super helpful guides especially with getting on and out of the kayaks. Only a couple issues 1) when driving up it's confusing if you're at the right place and 2) some of the kayak lights were malfunctioning.
