Chris was an awesome guide. It was a little windy so everyone else in our group rescheduled but we couldn’t as it was our last night in town. He did a great job taking us to places we could still see a lot. We saw so many sea creatures and he was very knowledgable about them all. I would highly recommend doing this tour!

This is a fun little excursion, we saw some fish, lobster and crab. Being out in the dark in the mangrove was the funnest part.

They ask you to come 30 minutes before booking time for paperwork. Please do so- don’t make people wait for you. The experience itself was great! Sebastian was wonderful and very knowledgeable.

Kayak is just a window in the bottom not clear like the picture. My son couldn’t even see through his. We lined ours up side by side and complete difference. Showed the guide and he just said “hmm. Well mine isn’t that great either.” Didn’t see much more than jelly fish. Definitely bring bug spray, we got ate alive at the beginning.

We were at the site an hour ahead of time & our tour guide ever showed up. We had to uber there so extra expense. I called today to be reimbursed. Spoke to Amelia. She said she had to investigate. Still waiting to hear back. So disappointed.

Would’ve been nice to be told to bring bug spray. Guide was young and paddled a little too fast for us to keep up with in the pitch black mangroves.

The kayaks are not as shown. They are not 100% clear and had we known that we wouldn’t have booked with them. They are regular kayaks with a “clear” bottom. “Clear” meaning super foggy and hard to see through. When others asked about the kayaks, the guide said he doesn’t know why Viator uses those pictures because they don’t have those kayaks. We also didn’t see anything except some jellys. Our guide was super nice and hardworking. It was also cool to go through the mangroves at night. I am requesting a partial refund for false advertising because we could have booked somewhere else, but I loved the idea of 100% clear kayaks as advertised so we booked through them.

Our experience was GREAT! Our tour guide, Gianni, was informative, personable, and made the entire tour enjoyable from start to finish. We booked the 8 PM tour, so there was still a little daylight when we started, but the sun quickly set and the clear-bottom kayaks took the experience to a whole different level.
This tour happened during my husband’s and my 20th anniversary trip, and to our surprise, we ended up with a private tour because the other guests didn’t show. It worked out perfectly! We got to see a variety of wildlife, navigate through the mangroves, and really take in the beauty of the area. The mangroves were especially fun to paddle through, and overall it was an amazing experience.
My husband and I are experienced kayakers, so we were able to jump right in and get going, but I think beginners would enjoy it as well.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:
* Apply bug spray! It’s the South, and the mosquitoes are definitely out there.
* Wear water shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting a little wet.
* Bring a waterproof phone case or dry bag.
* Our tour guide had a headlamp, but I honestly wish I had brought my own, so if you have one, toss it in your bag.
The full 90-minute tour never felt rushed, and we had plenty of time to enjoy the scenery and wildlife. If you’re looking for a unique and memorable experience, I highly recommend.

Fun way to experience the waters of key west. Super helpful guides especially with getting on and out of the kayaks. Only a couple issues 1) when driving up it's confusing if you're at the right place and 2) some of the kayak lights were malfunctioning.

The other negative reviews were right. The lights are not bright enough and you do not see much wildlife. Not worth the price.

What an experience! I have never kayaked in my life before and this was so fun. It is a little workout if the current picks up but very doable. We sat 1 per kayak but you can double up.

Captain John is funny, experienced and knowledgeable. Once he gave us a review on how to kayak, we were off. He led us on a marine life scavenger hunt filled with information about each one. We had some history of the area as well. He kept the mood light and easy like our paddling. Though some of us ended up in the mangroves to no fault of Captain John. If you’re looking for a fun evening experience and love the outdoors, book this one! You will not be disappointed.

They no longer have the clear boats that are pictured on the thumbnail. They have kayaks with a small window at your feet. Absolutely ruined the experience. We did this last year with the clea boats and it was amazing. Also the “guide” was like a party guy they grabbed off the street. He was very nice but was not a knowledgeable guide that knew how to lead and direct a group. Most importantly, the route was changed and shortened. By the time everyone was loaded in boats and we started, we kayaked one hour not two! I’m disappointed and feel ripped off…clear boats and half the time? Falsely advertised.

I’ve never been night time kayaking so I overall I enjoyed a new experience…. it was very windy and the mangroves were very narrow and pitch black , very hard to get through with those long poles …

It was really cool to go kayaking at night and see the bottom of the water. Our guide did great and took the time to explain everything. Would recommend taking this trip.

Our guide was very knowledgeable. Even though it was a very windy night a lot of of us assumed it would be cold, but there was nothing to worry about since the mangroves basically blocked all the wind so it was a very pleasant night. Was a great experience and would do it again.

It was a fun trip, however there was a lot of time wasted just drifting and asking trivia questions. We saw a few fish, sharks and jellyfish, however we were hoping to enter the mangroves at night. We enjoyed the event, but we did not believe it was worth the price.

Night kayaking was incredibly cool! Our guide said that you see more wildlife during the day kayak, but we saw quite a bit anyway. We saw a nurse shark, star fish, lots of reef fish, and jelly fish. We will definitely night kayaking again!

We had a great time on the tour, unfortunately it was unseasonably cool and we didn’t get to see many sea creatures. The guide was good at trying to find things (though unenthusiastic). We did get to see a couple of nurse sharks and some cool jellyfish. Kayaking at night through the mangroves was pretty cool and peaceful. I would Go again, but would opt for the 8 pm option. We don’t typically stay up late and for what we saw I wouldn’t stay up that late again (personal preference). We would do it again in hopes of seeing more! Our 2 boys had a great time (11 and 13 YO)

My sister and I took the tour and shared a kayak. We are both in our late 50s. Had a fabulous time, and this was our favorite outing as much as snorkeling if not more! Gionni was lovely, patient, and always checked on those of us who were slower. He had excellent anecdotes to share at each point in the tour! Great trip. Thank you!
