We launch near the boat ramp's right-hand side at Sugarloaf Marina. The boat ramp is located behind the retail storefronts. Look for the white enclosed trailer near the water (you should also see the clear kayaks there!) where you will meet your tour guide!

Jodi was an amazing guide! So knowledgeable and fun! She was very helpful and guided us calmly when we had to turn around because of a storm. The mangroves and everything within them are beautiful!

This was a lot of fun for beginners. We had a 15 and 12 year old with us. They were able to paddle. There was plenty of drifting time to rest. The clear kayaks are very neat, but there was not a lot of sea life to actually see. Sarah was a great guide, and we felt safe at all times.

This activity is at Sugarloaf Key- a short drive from Key West. It is easy to find; a quiet marina and very peaceful.

The guide that we had, named Jodi, was very knowledgeable about the mangrove area that we paddled through. She also was a local who had a lot of knowledge of the area. In terms of wildlife you'll basically see sea stars, mangrove groupers, and sea sponges. Small sea turtles and juvenile sharks, but that is less common. It was nice to get to a place that you couldn't go on your own.

The guide-Andrew was fun, knowledgeable, and very considerate and conscious of everyone and safety. The scenery and groves are very nice but we didn’t hardly see any wildlife- so it was a bit disappointing. Other than that it was a nice time and the clear boats are an added bonus.

Spent great 2 hours kayaking led by Jody who was very knowledgeable. After crossing bay, kayaked mangrove waterways & through mangrove tunnel . Saw starfish spider crabs needle fish minnows sponges nurse shark & lots more .

Be sure to bring a towel to cover the tops of your legs or you will get sunburn. Great fun. Our guide, Andrew, was great and his dog Brooke was a good mascot! Worth the price!

We had a great kayaking trip! Our guide Sarah was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and very safety-conscious. She made everyone feel comfortable and kept the trip fun and relaxed.
It was a beautiful day with calm water. We didn’t see a lot of wildlife—just a couple starfish and some crabs—but it was still a lovely paddle. We did spot a couple nurse sharks hanging around the dock waiting for fishermen to clean their catch and toss them scraps, which was fun to see!
Overall, a great experience and we’d definitely recommend it!

Very easy for beginners and guide was very informational. Our trip was early in morning and was glad we did, it would have been very warm later in day, but will be back for sure.

My 9 year old son and I had our own kayak. Heidi helped us through the mangrove tunnels and pointed out all the sea creatures to see! Heidi was a fantastic guide, we felt safe and informed and had a lot of fun. Bring your water and apply sunscreen! We saw nurse sharks, starfish, pelicans and iguanas. Beautiful ecosystem at work!

Stacy was a great guide. Cool as sh*t too! She kept it entertaining and also gave us alot of facts about it all. If we ever come back to Key West, we would definitely do this again. We would’ve enjoyed it just as much even if we didn’t see one creature out there. We had a great group and everyone was looked after well and we got some great photos too. Our group aged from 12 years old to 80 years old and we all kept up very well without losing anyone. Thank you, Stacy, for making our experience a great one!

We shouldn't have gone out. It was at (very) low tide and we all got stuck in the sand. Our guide did a great job pulling us through one boat at a time, but it took a while. The bay we had to cross was very windy and a lot to accomplish for the other inexperienced kayakers. We spent more time crossing the bay in the wind than in the mangroves.
