100% must do. Knowledgeable and friendly Captain and crew! Saw tons of dolphins and the snorkeling was amazing!
This was just as described. Captain Mo & Charlie were awesome to spend a few hours with. I’m 49 & my 20 something daughters loved it too.
Sandbar swimming - lovely!
The water is likely to be murky, so don't expect clear views. If you suffer from motion sickness, this might not be the best activity. If you're hoping for sea turtles, you may be disappointed. The dolphins were amazing, though.
Its honestly worth every penny! I wouldve paid a 100 dollars more! Very safe and comfortable. 10 out of 10. Charlie and Noah were super cool and know this place like the back of their hand. They delivered on every aspect of the tour. We seen the dolphins and the rays and everything in between. If your looking for amazing chill time these are the guys and this is the trip. I learned alot and seen alot. Im booking another round before I leave the keys thats for sure.
Fun, educational and exciting. I highly recommend this company. My 11 year old son and I did this together. We saw pods of dolphins, snorkeled with a marine biologist! and walked on a sandbar. We had great healthy snacks and water. The equipment was great! The boat was awesome. Charlie and Noah are 5 Stars!!
This was the best snorkel tour I’ve been on and would do it again in a heartbeat. Our captain maneuvered through the shallow waters safely and our snorkel guide (a marine biologist) showed us and named many different species of fish as they went by. We saw dolphins swim under our boat and while in the water we saw barracuda, tarpons, stingrays and many other types of fish. We learned a lot about the underwater life and about the keys. Charlie and Noah were full of stories.
It was absolutely amazing! Charlie and Andrew were great!! We saw lots of dolphins! And snorkeled two different locations. The. Fruit and veggies were so good and fresh!
Informative, friendly hostesses who love to share their love for the reef, ecosystem and overall area. This was a better experience than my first time snorkeling in Hawaii. Everything was proved, including organic snacks and cold water along with brief education of equipment and environment.
Perfect way to spend a port day in Key West. Our ship docked at 8:30am. Was nervous to get to the Honest Eco boat by 9am. No problem. Easy 15 min walk. The crew was two pleasant and capable ladies and 7 other passengers. Plenty of seating under the hard cover canopy so you could have shade wherever you wanted or stand on bow for full sun. They took us to 3 different areas to see many local dolphins explaining their biology and habitat. We went to an area to snorkel that had plenty of coral, sponges and smaller fish. The mate joined us on the water pointing out hidden lobsters and rays. We were back at the dock by 1:30 so we had plenty of time to explore the town before ship’s all aboard.
Great experience with Noah and Sarah! Dolphin watch, snorkel and sandbar were all great. Got a late start and they gave extra time to make up for it.
We saw dolphins, turtles and plenty of fish while snorkeling! It was great. Dan and Charlie were the best!
Had a great time. Captain and first mate were awesome. Highly recommend the dolphin and snorkeling tour.
A half day on the Squid was great fun! We snorkeled with lots of interesting wildlife and learned great facts about them from the knowledgeable crew.
Wonderful! My daughter and I had a great time! Just long enough (for me)-not too long, or too short. Snorkled for an hour. May have liked to snorkle a bit longer but overall good! Had fun! Sad, though, our reefs are dead and bleached. Must do something as a whole to help them.
We went to a sponge garden and saw almost nothing. For $144 dollars, I was expecting to be taken to the reef. A lot of the passengers on our tour did not like the snorkeling experience and got out of the water pretty quickly. I suspect our guides cut it short to cater to them - which kind of stunk for those of us who had only one chance to snorkel in Key West.
Amazing! Billy was very knowledgeable and very personable. They served fresh fruit, vegetables, and hummus. We learned all about dolphins, and how they keep track of them by identifying their dorsal fins. The snorkeling was beautiful. They pointed out all sorts of different species. Both of them were very personable and knowledgeable. I would do this again!
The whole trip was very educational and eco-minded! The crew knows a lot about dolphins, the reef and the Key West area. Would love to do it again!
This was a very professional operation. They did a lot to make our trip a pleasant one. Such as having friendly staff, several snack options, and a really clean boat. We didn’t get to see a lot of dolphins the day we went out but that’s how it goes sometimes. We still had a great time and got to see a beautiful sunset from the water.
We had a wonderful experience with Sam and Jess. Full of adventure and great snorkeling around the pods.
Our family had a good time and the guides were nice but I’m not sure it was worth the extra money compared to the large group tours. Neither of our guides were marine biologists and there wasn’t a bunch of teaching or additional info during the trip.
The crew were great. They communicated with others to find the dolphins’ location, so we went back to see them and yes, we saw a bunch, including babies. The snorkeling area wasn’t a reef. We mostly saw sponges and some fish. I also saw a stingray and kind of swam with it. It swam away from me, but I still thought it was really cool.
There isn’t actually a biologist on board. That part feels more like a marketing strategy. I was expecting something more educational, but I still had a very good time and really enjoyed the sunset on the boat. The people were nice. I just wish I remembered the crew’s names because they were great!
Really love Sam and Jess. They’ve provided the most experience they possibly can. Weather was beautiful and we got to snorkeling with the tropical fishes. Really worth it.
A great and educational experience. Part of the crew was a marine biologist doing research on dolphins. The snorkeling was great fun as was the dolphin watching. We snorkeled a sponge garden which was active with sea life. The dolphins watching was great. The dolphins swam right up to the boat to check us out.
Loved the dolphin experience, loved captain & Marine Biologist crew...especially loved little Piper (mini-aussie) that helped us find the dolphins as they surfaced. Boat was perfect, equipment in good shape, snacks yummy. But, it was quite windy with an extremely strong undertow. I was very surprised that they let us snorkel that day...because it was kind of dangerous. It would have been more fun if we just skipped that part of the excursion.

Thank you so much for joining us! I’m really glad you enjoyed the dolphin part of your boat tour and I have to agree, Piper takes her dolphin-spotting duties very seriously and always manages to win everyone over. It makes me happy to hear you connected with the crew as well; they put a lot of heart into every trip.
Thank you, too, for mentioning the boat and gear. Captain Billy designed and built the boat specifically for guest comfort, and our crew works hard to keep everything clean and in great shape. And I’m glad the snacks hit the spot we get everything fresh from Date and Thyme.
I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts about the snorkeling conditions. Safety is always our top priority, and our captains use their best judgment based on conditions at the moment, but your feedback is important and taken seriously. I’m sorry the wind and current made that portion of the trip stressful instead of fun I completely understand how that can impact the experience.
Thank you again for spending part of your day with us and for the thoughtful review. I hope we get the chance to show you a calmer day on the water next time you’re in Key West.
Having a marine biologist lead the snorkeling and dolphin watching added an extra special element to the tour. I learned so much about the sponge ecosystem and dolphin community. The crew went the extra mile to ensure we saw as many dolphins as possible.

Thank you so much for joining us! I’m really glad your boat tour felt extra special with one of our marine biologists leading the way their passion for the sponge ecosystem and the local dolphin community adds such a fun, meaningful layer to the experience.
The crew will be so happy to hear their dedication stood out, especially their effort to make sure you got plenty of dolphin time. They truly love sharing this part of Key West with our guests.
Thanks again for being out on the water with us, and I hope we get to welcome you back soon!
Not the trip we booked, but any day on a boat is a good day! There weren’t enough folks signed up for the afternoon on the Squid, so the team was great about communicating our options and we were able to join the afternoon snorkel, sandbar and sunset on the Blue Q catamaran. Dan and Heather were a wonderful crew and took amazing care of the 6 of us on the trip. The Blue Q is a beautiful boat and easy to get in and off with the center ladder. The fresh fruit was the perfect snack. Again, it wasn’t the trip we planned, but Dan and Heather made it the trip we needed.

Thank you so much, Abbe! While it wasn’t the exact trip you originally planned, I'm so glad you felt well taken care of and that Dan and Heather were able to turn it into something special. That’s exactly the kind of adaptability and guest-first focus we strive for on every tour. We’re proud of Blu Q she’s a beauty! and love that you appreciated the fresh fruit and easy boarding. Hope to have you back for a trip on SQUID next time…
We had a great time, captain Chase was super knowledgeable and kind. We saw lots of fish and dolphins. Being in a small group really makes a difference, I highly recommend this activity to anyone visiting Key West!! Thanks again :)

Thank you, Marie! I’m so glad you had a great time with Captain Chase he’s incredibly knowledgeable and always brings a kind, easygoing energy to the trip. It’s awesome that the fish and dolphins made an appearance, and I’m happy the small group made the experience even better for you. We appreciate the recommendation and hope to have you back for another boat tour next time you're in Key West!
Epic! Highly recommend. They know exactly where to go for the coolest dolphin experience and snorkeling in Key West! Not to mention I loved the knowledge share from the biologist. Their snacks and everything they did was eco friendly which was a huge plus.

Thanks so much, Kaysie! I’m so glad you had an epic time out on the water dolphins, snorkeling, and eco-conscious everything is what we’re all about. The biologist-led insights and fresh snacks are just the cherry on top. Thanks for choosing us for your boat tour we’d love to have you back anytime!
Highly recommend. Traveling with family, kids are teenagers & we all thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We learned a lot too. Saw dolphins in their natural habitat & then went snorkeling & saw a wide variety of marine life. Guides were helpful & very conscientious of keeping everyone safe. Extra bonus was the delicious, healthy snacks we enjoyed during & after the tour.
