Itinerary
Your food walking tour starts at a central location in Key West. Meet your guide and head off-the-beaten-path to less-visited neighborhoods where locals dine at favorite restaurants and other food venues.
Places you visit include an island backyard bistro with local jerked fish, a family-owned Cuban restaurant, a café known for its fresh roasted Cuban coffee (where we will also taste classic key lime pie), and an old speakeasy with rum cocktails. In between tastings, stroll along the quieter streets of Key West, taking in the lush trees and other vegetation and listening to insights from your guide about the city's history and stories.

I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from the Southernmost Key West Food Tour, but it turned out to be one of the best parts of our trip. Our guide, Jo, made the experience unforgettable. She was friendly, knowledgeable, personable, and always prepared — the kind of guide who brings the city to life and makes you feel instantly welcomed.
We visited five different restaurants, each serving excellent food and drinks. These weren’t just quick bites; they were genuinely memorable stops that we fully plan to revisit because of this tour. It felt like getting insider access to Key West’s best local spots without any guesswork.
One of the things we appreciated most was how much history and culture Jo wove into the experience. She didn’t just lead us from place to place — she shared stories, background, and details that gave us a deeper appreciation for Key West. We walked away with full stomachs and a richer understanding of the island.
If you’re on the fence about booking this tour, I can honestly say: go for it. It’s the perfect blend of great food, great company, and great storytelling. We loved every minute.

Amazing experience. Kyle was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The food tasting was excellent and so tasty - all items we would not have chosen ourselves and so gave us a real taste of local cuisine. We would go back to all of the venues chosen as so nice and good quality. Kyle was excellent at pitching his information at the right level and adapted the walking element when we were all obviously struggling with the heat. Can highly recommend.

This was the fourth food tour we’ve attended, and our guide, Gogo, did not disappoint. He was accommodating, entertaining, and straightforward throughout the tour. He shared fascinating historical facts and stories while making sure we enjoyed some excellent food along the way. If you have the option, definitely choose Gogo as your guide. El Siboney and Mangoes had the best food of the tour!

Good tasting of various foods while walking around lower part of Key West. The rum drink was refreshing too.

Warning to older visitors. There is a lot of walking, sometimes on uneven ground. Sometimes brisk pace, not a stroll. Pick your season wisely, as we went on a very hot day and it was uncomfortable. Rum Bar disappointing. After walking quite a distance, we walked in the front door, were handed a drink and ushered out the back door, moving on carrying a rum drink. A taste of conch chowder is about all you got at Mangos. Our guide, GoGo, was entertaining but at times we could not hear his commentary. He did hit some points of interest, not sure all were historical.
