Itinerary
Your food walking tour starts at a central location in Key West. Meet your guide and head off-the-beaten-path to less-visited neighborhoods where locals dine at favorite restaurants and other food venues.
Places you visit include an island backyard bistro with local jerked fish, a family-owned Cuban restaurant, a café known for its fresh roasted Cuban coffee (where we will also taste classic key lime pie), and an old speakeasy with rum cocktails. In between tastings, stroll along the quieter streets of Key West, taking in the lush trees and other vegetation and listening to insights from your guide about the city's history and stories.
Admire the island's architecture and the leisurely pace of daily life, and receive tips about other places to visit in Key West during your trip. Your tour ends not far from the starting point.

Good tasting of various foods while walking around lower part of Key West. The rum drink was refreshing too.
Gogo was a wonderful tour guide with fascinating information about Key West pirates and early history

Warning to older visitors. There is a lot of walking, sometimes on uneven ground. Sometimes brisk pace, not a stroll. Pick your season wisely, as we went on a very hot day and it was uncomfortable. Rum Bar disappointing. After walking quite a distance, we walked in the front door, were handed a drink and ushered out the back door, moving on carrying a rum drink. A taste of conch chowder is about all you got at Mangos. Our guide, GoGo, was entertaining but at times we could not hear his commentary. He did hit some points of interest, not sure all were historical.

This experience is definitely geared towards adults (not little kids). Gogo was the tour guide. He did a wonderful job of sharing quirky island facts and bits of history about the island with us as we walked around to the restaurants. It was a well organized tour. Restaurants were expecting us and we had a table waiting for us upon arrival. We got to sample Cuban food, fresh seafood, coffee, key lime pie, and conch fritters. All the food was amazing and it made a satisfying lunch.
