Lexie, our local guide, drove us around in a small group van. She described the culture of the town and the wildlife as we visited a salmon stream, scenic beach, saltwater marsh and a roaring waterfall.

Unfortunately we couldn't make this tour as our cruise ship was unable to dock in port due to high winds. We were gutted 😔 and even though there is a no refund policy if you cancel within 24 hours of the tour we got a full refund ( we cancelled 2 hours prior ) so ten out of ten to "Over The Top Tours" 👍

Tour was fine, tour operator very friendly. Did not see much wildlife, deceiving as they show the meadow with bears on the listing along with a bridge over the meadow, however you do not get to go on the bridge, that's an additional cost of $300 per person! Needless to say, there was one bear far away and could not really see him well.

Our guide took us to the best places in Ketchikan. We saw a bear in the wild eating salmon! We also saw the salmon run and a pretty waterfall.

While it was nice to chat with a local person (host) about the area, I wasn't expecting to pay the amount we did for the host to just drive us around to a few local spots in their truck.

Johnny was born and was raised in Ketchikan. He had a lot of stories about the history of the area and took us to places that others may not have been able to travel to. Was a great experience.

We got to see a black bear catch and eat a salmon from a stream, it was amazing! We also stopped by other points of interest but the black bear sighting was the highlight.

Nathan was our tour guide. He knew a lot about the area. We saw salmon running upstream which was amazing. It looked like hard work. We actually got to see a bear in someone’s yard!! We saw a creek that was pretty. We even saw some zipline stands way up in the trees; looked really scary. Then we went to a beach & walked out. We saw several star fish there. Then we saw a beautiful waterfall. E we truly enjoyed it.

Lexie (born and raised locally) was great and gave us lots of local info. She was accommodating to our needs (and wants). We were happy to see a bear, yay!! I would recommend this tour, it was a great value for the money for sure, and you felt like you know a bit more about this island afterward.

The vehicle is a 8 passenger van and very difficult to get in and out. The tour guide was nice and somewhat knowledgeable. The places we visited were very generic.

The whole tour seemed a bit unprofessional to me. There seemed to be an excuse as to why things wouldn’t be as advertised. Too hot for bears (although we did see two from afar). The beach with starfish and other sea creatures was not as described or photographed in the brochure. The waterfall was not that spectacular. We did a quick drive by Creek street and that was the city highlight.

Well Susanne. Sounds like maybe it just wasn’t your cup of tea. First off when visiting the rainiest place in the US yes it can be quit hot for our wildlife. So happy you were able to see some wild life though! Our tides change every 6 hours. Again when taking a later tour can be hard to find those treasures .Waterfalls are beautiful not matter the weather sorry it wasn’t up to your standers. Our city is pretty small and you are offered to be dropped of at Creek Street once the tour was over. thanks for booking with us 🤍☔️

Would highly recommend. He had a wonderful tour guide that made us feel like family. He took us to see the salmon run, beach, waterfall, and finally we saw a bear. It was top on my list and he was determined to make it happen. If you want a really special experience take this tour!

Johnny and his daughter run this tour business so we were very happy we booked with a small business to support their efforts. Johnny knows Ketchikan and definitely hit all the highlights. The salmon ladder and stream was amazing. We got lucky and saw a mama bear and two cubs because of Johnny's knowledge of where the bears were moving to. Highly recommend this tour and Johnny's company.

This is a small family locally owned business. My husband and I toured with Lexie in July. She is knowledgeable, flexible, personable and fun! We saw bears, tons of eagles, a beach, and a waterfall. Lexie shared her binoculars, took pictures of us and even told us the most efficient way to get to our other interests around Ketchikan.

Very laid back and interesting. We saw a Mama bear and her cubs which made it very worth it! Also saw a couple of Eagles. Went to the river to see the spawning salmon. Not a lot to see in the town but our guide was very knowledgeable about the area
