Whitty, clean humor. Nice staff. Jimmy (Doc Holliday look-a-like) was our axe throwing instructor and he was very good. He gave us great advice on how to throw the axes and even gave us tips about what to visit while visiting Ketchikan. We saw Ethan outside the venue in his regular clothes and was super nice. Great family experience!

Exactly what you would expect - a one hour show with some funny jokes and some impressive demonstrations. Great for families.

Fun, energetic, great for family time! I highly recommend this event for all. Lots of laughs and a great amount of time for the axe throwing lessons, challenge, and show!

You get to see examples of what real logging competitions are like and there is not a bad seat in the house. The show is a lot of fun. We did the ax throwing after the show and it was harder than it looks but we loved it. Well worth the money. The woman who taught us ax throwing was great too.

Ax throwing its fun experience. Our group had a 16 year-old to up to a 75 year-old and it was enjoyed by all. The two gentlemen leading our ax throwing were awesome and made the show. Very fun and exciting.

Great show from start to finish, and when the show ended bonus we all did axe throwing, it’s extra for this added on the price but well worth it. Would recommend

Overall this was a good show and provided decent entertainment. A little cheesy at parts but still enjoyable. Axes throwing afterwards was fun.

A light hearted show that is fun!! My adult kids liked it. We enjoyed the Axe throwing class we signed up for too.

What fun seeing the history of what lumberjacks do in real life. Very impressive seeing their ‘trade’ in action … the show portrayed a competition between 2 teams racing to cut logs quickest / target axe throwing / climbing up poles / jousting on a log role. Funny and showing the challenges of their real life.
This was followed with demonstrations of how to throw the axe and then having a real go (9 throws each) ourselves.

The lumberjack show was well presented & so much fun. A great laugh & atmosphere. The Axa throwing also was great fun but harder than you think.

This is a great show! Lots of energy, good vibes and very entertaining. The lumberjacks are incredible! Extremely skilled, fast and fortunately, very accurate! Super impressive! Displayed lots of different skills with axes and chainsaws. The female compere did a great job. She explained each skill the lumberjacks were going to perform and kept the show flowing with fun and humour. Dividing the audience into 2 camps to support the 2 teams was a great way to get the crowd involved. Was brilliant to watch and was great fun. We paid extra to do the axe throwing after the show, which was definitely worth it. Harrison was our axe throwing coach, and he did a fab job! He was very clear with his instructions and demonstrations. He was also patient and encouraging, with a good sense of fun and was just a great sport. He made sure everyone had enough practice throws before we started our group 'competition'. It was a brilliant activity, so much fun, and was a great way to finish after watching the show. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole show and our own attempts at axe throwing. We would definitely do it again, and can highly, highly recommend! This show is a must see if you visit Ketchikan!!

A fun afternoon with excitement you can't deny!
Nice venue, friendly competition, and events you won't ese anywhere else I promise you!

You don’t want to miss this one. It is very enjoyable and funny. These loggers really have personality in addition to impressive skills. We were throughly entertained. The audience is encouraged to participate and those burly lumberjacks are very generous with photo opportunities after the show. Incidentally, the axe throwing opportunity is a lot of fun if you opt for it.

there are several options for this be careful about your choice, we thought we did the basic show but found out we were signed up for the ax throwing after the show, there is another option for a crab fest and then just the show. Our ship was late to port and we missed our 10am show time, viator was no help, I called the show runners and they said come at 12 no problems. the shows is very enjoyable and we even had fun throwing axes
Lynn_F, Sep 2025
You need to make your own way there which is a long way from Ward Cove. Great fun for all ages. Good seats procured by Viator We loved it

The axe throw lesson was super fun
Arlene_S, Sep 2025
Although the show is entertaining I would not say it is worth the money. Would be better spent seeing wildlife.
Joseph_W, Sep 2025
Very fun and fun. My friends and myself had a good fun time. Long lines but worth the wait. Hollywood Jake was the best
Efrain_V, Sep 2025
Very fun entertainment! Get there EARLY and get in line because it’ll be a packed audience! Our tickets included the axe throw challenge, which I thought meant we’d watch the lumberjacks compete in axe throwing, but it was actually US who competed after the lumberjack show! That was awesome! And those competing have a reserved seating section, so the whole experience was super!
Jeannie_W, Sep 2025
Fantastic show and we were right how to correctly throw an axe and competed with other patrons.it was super fun!
David_H, Sep 2025
