Overview
Kauai is famous for its surf beaches, so get in on the action with a surf lesson in Poipu. Practice basic skills on land and learn how to stand up, before heading out into the warm Pacific Ocean to catch your first waves. All gear is provided, and it's a great beginner’s experience with a surf company that's been serving Kauai for more than 30 years.

Turn into the Ko'a Kea Resort entrance off of Po'ipu Rd. Follow the Ko'a Kea signs on your right all the way into the Valet area at the Ko'a Kea Resort (Red Salt Restaurant). Tell them you are there for a surf lesson. We are located poolside next to the Pool Bar at our Hoku Water Sports kiosk.

Great experience from start to finish! Getting to the start location was extremely easy. Valet was very helpful in directions to the shop. The shop attendant was very friendly and had a very fun and easy going attitude. My instructor was anmazing. We were one of the first appointments and so we just happened to be lucky enough to get a private instruction since no one else was on with us for that time slot and we got a few hours of instruction! It was amazing! Got up a few times but over all was an amazing experiences and would absolutely recommend to anyone else!

David was awesome. He was so patient and helpful in teaching us how to surf. It was my first time (41yo), my husband’s first time (51yo) and my son’s (10yo) first time and we had so much fun. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Kele was amazing! My husband and I have never surfed before and we were in a group with another couple who hadn’t ever surfed. By the end of the lessons, all four of us had success! Super fun, would do it again.

This was a lot of fun. Were beginners and our teacher made us feel comfortable even before getting in the water. You’ll get a full run down and practice before you’re in the ocean. There is no pressure to even surf. It’s go at your own pace. Really puts you at easy. And Kele is so patient and helpful. Lots of fun, even if you don’t get up.

Our instructor was super friendly and helpful my husband and two sons had a great experience! The girl at the counter was not as friendly or helpful, when we returned from the lessons we were looking for our clothes and she sat there eating just looking at us struggle I went to ask to see if they placed it in a designated area and she just looked at me like I was bothering her. Great place and experience hopefully they get someone more welcoming in the counter!
