Overview

Make the most of your time in the birthplace of surfing by learning to surf, Hawaiian style. In a small group of no more than five people per instructor, you will learn the fundamentals of surfing and ocean safety before getting into the water to ride your first wave. Lessons are timed to avoid crowds so you can enjoy plenty of space.

I had a fantastic surfing lesson with Adam! The 1.5-hour session at Poipu Beach was the perfect amount of time to learn and have fun without feeling exhausted. The location was super convenient, and the waves were more challenging than usual, which made the experience even more rewarding. Adam was extremely patient, highly skilled, and kept everyone feeling safe and encouraged throughout. I learned a lot and felt much more confident by the end of the lesson. I would highly recommend Adam to anyone looking for a professional, positive surfing experience!

Unfortunately, we had a medical emergency resulting in delay of our arrival. I notified the tour operator and was refused a refund. Additionally, calls and texts messages on viator were not responded on a timely manner. This has been an incredibly poor customer service experience.

First time surfing and it was an incredible experience! Austin was an awesome instructor very chill, focused on safety, and made sure everyone had fun. Perfect for beginners. Highly recommend booking a session, you’ll have a blast!

Amazing experience! I was fortunate to be the only person in the lesson and they didn't cancel it on me which is very much appreciated! Adam was an amazing instructor and helped me to pick it up quick and helped me to get some nice videos. Would definitely use them again and would recommend them highly!

I read so many reviews before landing on this as an excursion from a cruise port. It was easy to Uber there and back, the beach was beautiful and perfect for beginner surf lessons. All 4 of my family members got up! Ages 41, 10, 8, and 7. Austin was awesome! Thanks again!

Adam was my kids' instructor and was a great guy. Showed up on time, gave great instruction for my kids who were surfing for their second time ever, and I watched from the shore as they quickly improved throughout the lesson. Parking at the Sheraton hotel / beach would be the only possible hardship / negative but that would be true at most places. Great experience.

My daughters (early 20's) wanted to surf in Hawaii, and they had a great time with Nolan and the team at Kauai's Ultimate Group Surf Lesson! Four total ladies in the group. All said they had a great time! Easy to get to, easy to check in and go through all the loops. The girls had a great time, felt safe, comfortable, and were able to get up on the board several times during the lesson. Nolan was very nice, and accommodating, helpful and considerate.

The whole family (parents and adolescent daughter and young adult daughter) loved it! Great instructor. We learned a lot and felt safe. One should however be careful as there are some big rocks one could fall on. Very close to the beach you have another beach where you can spot beutiful turtles (a good time to be sure to see them is approximatly at 6pm, or early morning). All in all a great experience which we would highly recommend if you would like to learn how to surf!

We were a bit nervous to have our 10 year old try surfing, but Kai was an incredible teacher for him. We could not believe that our son was able to get up on the board after just the second try in the water! Kai was encouraging and kept cheering him on for every attempt. It was an overall great experience for him and for us.

Really enjoyed watching my granddaughter and Son taking the lessons. I am receiving a refund because I am not at all a swimmer! I was not thinking about it until my granddaughter reminded me! "G'Ma! Why are you doing this?? You can't swim!" Lol!!
