Greg was a wonderful guide. We went with our parents (in their 70’s) and our kids (6 &7y/o), none of whom had ever snorkeled before. He did a great safety and education demo, made it fun and interesting, and put everyone at ease. He had snorkel gear and wet suits that fit everyone. We were able to see lots of fish & animals, and Greg was sure to point out anything we might have missed. Would most definitely recommend this experience for anyone visiting Kauai and wanting to see the reef life.

Water was beautiful and calm. Greg was very patient and knowledgeable. One member of the group had some anxiety the excursion and Greg was very accommodating and applied no pressure. We saw lots of fish and turtles. Would highly recommend this experience.

We had a great time with Greg snorkeling and seeing the beautiful sea turtles. He was very knowledgable and friendly.
The whole experience was great from start to finish! Gregg sat us down on the beach and explained everything about snorkeling. We saw so many types of fish and a few sea turtles! My kids all thought it was fantastic. Could not have asked for a better experience!

This should NOT be your first snorkel experience if you are not a swimmer.
Heard later that Kōloa Landing on Hanakaape bay (where we were asked to go) is not the best place for snorkeling.
We saw scuba divers getting into the water there.
The water was not calm and we asked to return after 1/2 hr or so.
Water was somewhat murky also.
Best to get comfortable with snorkeling first either in Poipu beach (can see turtles on the beach there) or Lydgate beach where there are lifeguards and the water is shallow.
Lots of places to rent a snorkel kit including Boss Frog's. If you rent from their shop in Kōloa, Sawyer is very helpful.

Thank you I have been teaching non swimmers for decades, including children, and you nice people were the most difficult group I have ever had. An amazing snorkel experience, swimming with sea turtles! This was perfect for our two kids who hadnt snorkeled before - so patient and kind with them as they adjusted to the mask and flippers. Highly recommend!!

Greg is a great guide! My family and I had an amazing time. It wasn’t rushed just fun our 9 year old said it was the best time of his life. It was just long enough.
We had a great time on this snorkel. We saw so many turtles and fish! Gregg made such we were all comfortable in the water. It was so much fun!
Gregg was an amazing guide! He was patient and kind. He was great with the kids and helped them through some anxiety to give them the best first snorkeling experience ever. He had all the gear we needed and gave a great tutorial before we got in the water to ensure that everyone was safe. The turtles were beautiful and curious about our group. We saw dozens of species of fish and Gregg brought up urchins and sea cucumbers for the kids to touch. This is a must do! Thank you!

This is an amazing experience! We saw at least a dozen sea turtles, an eel and way too many fish to count. The guide was very well trained and made us feel safe. He was helpful and wanted to make sure we all had a wonderful time. I will do this excursion every time I come back to Kauai!
Excellent. First time wearing a wetsuit. Great instructions on using fins, snorkel and mask. We were able to see many different fish and seven sea turtles. Very enjoyable. The instructor was alot of fun. Would recommend this tour.
Greg was just the best. He has lived in HI for four decades and is a certified dive instructor. With our private family tour he spent the first 40 minutes really building trust and teaching us techniques and communication. He got to know us and we got to know all about his background and his family. The others divers knew him and said hi. We felt totally comfortable when it was time to wetsuit it up and enter the bay. He pointed out the different fish and wildlife he told us to look for. He pointed out and steered us away from a barracuda. He kept us safe and was making sure we were relaxed and having fun. Went with husband and boys (10 and 12). Just an amazing experience. Would book again!

Greg was FANTASTIC!!! We had our 5yo with and he was so patient and kind! We all had never been snorkeling before and Greg has a nice lesson before even getting in the water to make sure we all understood how to properly use the equipment! Once we got in the water Greg brought us to the perfect spot to see so much! Sea turtles were amazing!! Thank you again so much!!! If you have never been snorkeling please make sure your first experience is with Greg!!

Gregg was an amazing guide! He was very knowledgable, had great gear, and was outstanding with our kids. He has a great way of explaining everything in a calm and supportive way for even the most reluctant and novice snorkelers. Our six-year-old son was scared and refused to put on his snorkel mask. Gregg continued to encourage him without pressure or shame and found a special "job" for him to do on the raft so he could help and the rest of us could enjoy our time safely. We saw almost a dozen sea turtles!
Signed up my family of five for this snorkeling experience. They don't tell you until the day before where you're going, but for us it was a little bay at Kaloa landing. We just parked, geared up, and waded right in. They provided all the equipment of course, including wet suits which were helpful for warmth and for flotation. The guide also had a boogie board which we could all come back to for "home base". We were out in the water for a couple hours, which was plenty. We saw some fish among the coral, which was cool but I've definitely been other places where they were much more abundant and vibrant. But we also came across five or six sea turtles, a couple of which came really close to us, and that was a first for us and really cool. Given that we probably could have rented all the equipment for under $50pp and done the same things ourselves, it was maybe a little over-priced in hindsight, but it was a fun morning for all of us.
This was an awesome snorkeling experience. The guide was knowledgeable, fun, and safe. We saw many different kinds of fish and several turtles. I would definitely recommend booking this excursion.
Greg was great at clear instructions and providing support. He has all of the gear you need (good quality too) and helps everyone get suited up. He also brings a large kickboard into the water, so if anyone is tired they can hold onto it or even get on it and rest. This was great for my youngest child-he took several breaks on the board. We saw lots of turtles and so many colorful fish. This was great for my family as the more experienced people were able to do more while Greg was able to support the less experienced people. Would certainly book again.

We are a family of 6, and we had 4 kids ranging in age from 13-4. Everyone was able to participate and had such a good time. Greg was amazing with us and teaching us some Hawaiian things and he had all the gear for us. A surreal moment for us to see things under the water! Greg really helped support us and all our different swimming levels. Our fur year old stayed on top the boogie board and was just fine, and he still saw the turtles.
Even if we didn’t have a little, I like how Greg has a big boogie board for like a resting support when needed.

Gregg was so great. So chill and reassuring and safe. Top notch experience. Well worth it especially if going with kids or those unfamiliar with snorkeling.
It’ll be tailored to your needs, whether you’re experienced and want to dive down or have never been and need total guidance. We had a group member who was extremely anxious about snorkeling and open water, and he took extra care of her and made every necessary accommodation. By the end, she was snorkeling on her own, which is something no one else has been able to get her to do! Highly recommend.
Great experience with young children and very knowledgeable and informative. Great laid back guy wanting to make this a fun, but safe time for everyone.
The outing was excellent! Greg was an amazing teacher and all around great human being. We were pretty new to reef snorkeling and Greg made sure he understood what our needs were and gave us good instruction. The equipment was great and helped us see turtles, many fish, and other sea life. We would highly recommend this experience!
Greg shared helpful, practical snorkeling tips and did a great job with our two excited kids. We learned about the wildlife we would see and did indeed see a turtle. A safe and fun experience for the family!
Gregg was an amazing guide for our little family group, which included 3 first timers including a couple who were very nervous. Compassionate, patient and kind with a gentle humor, he provided us with a wonderful experience. He was easy to communicate with, provided all necessary equipment and instruction, and took his time, never rushing us. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone and if in the area again I would love him to guide us again. As one of the nervous ones, I felt utterly safe and taken care of the entire time. He helped us see a lot of turtles and fish, and honestly it was the highlight of our family vacation!
Excellent experience! Walked away with tremendous knowledge! It was just my wife and I and our daughter and we had to switch off as she’s only 10 months old. It worked out perfectly!
