We are so glad we decided at the last minute to do this Jeep self-tour. We drove up part of the old Denali highway and loved all the beautiful scenery. We’ll worth the time if you are looking for a way to do some sightseeing on your own

Experience was just as expected. Note that this is a smaller jeep so if you have folks with long legs the back seat is a little tight. Shuttle is very flexible and accommodating.

Never showed up, never called, no real number to call. 100% do not recommend. Tried multiple times to get ahold of them but without a number to call could not.

The Jeep was perfect! We were able to enjoy the beautiful scenery on our own. We learned a lot from Steve and Jim was great too! If you have an opportunity to take this excursion, do it. You will not be disappointed. They also gave us a guide with a map. Excellent tour!

Jim was very helpful and sharing where to go to. Lots of beautiful views on the Denali Road. Didn’t get a picture but saw two swans and their little offspring in a lake. And a moose in a pond along the main road.

Our Jeep was clean and in good condition. The owner provided maps and good information regarding different routes that could be taken. There was also complimentary shuttle pick up at the boardwalk. The weather was abnormally warm so we didn't see a lot of wildlife. Nice to be able to get out and tour around Denali at our leisure.

We had a 4 wheel drive rental that was fine to take down these roads and a much nice ride than the Jeep (Ford Edge). The map was nice, but not worth $$$$ for the Jeep rental.

The car was fine and everything was smooth as to getting and returning the car, but the 4 hour window wasn't adequate and no alternative was mentioned. Half an hour of the 4 hours was chewed up by just the distance north we needed to travel to get and return the car, and to drive the Denali highway 80 miles of driving just getting to the start of it and back put a big dent in any time we would've wanted to stop places and wander around a little.

Between Viator and Stampead, they blamed each other when I tried to adjust the reservation time. I ended up not doing the excursion because of my timing issue. Think I’ll get my money back?? NOT

Mike drove all the way out to our hotel to pick us up. He was friendly and knows the area. We appreciated that! On the way to get the Jeep, there was a mother moose with 2 babies climbing over the guard rail to cross the road. Mike avoided hitting them, thank goodness.
The Jeep was easy to drive and comfortable. We stopped and looked at flowers. The drive along Parks Highway and Denali Highway was absolutely amazing: we were in wide open spaces looking at stunning mountains. We each ate a pint of ice cream! I would suggest looking at the booklet at the beginning so that you can plan where you want to go. The cost was a little high, but considering the risks they are incuuring, and how much fun we had, it was worth it.

People were friendly, vehicles worked well but the pick up was in Healy which added at least 30 mins to the rental since the main attraction is south of Denali (Denali Highway). We got three flat tires, long story. They brought a second spare for the third flat to us. They comped us gas refill on two cars, close to a full tank comped. If you’re staying in Denali (near Denali Princess) a more convenient option would be across the road from Denali Princess.

The advertisement for this excursion gave the impression we would drive our own Jeep, off-road with a tour guide leading the way and radio'ing info to us, on wilderness trails and such. We were given a map & keys, and told to return the Jeep refueled to full, and sent on our way for four hours. There was no off-roading and all the places we ventured with our map, we had already been. We could have done the same things on our rental car. Basically rented another vehicle and wasted money. Of all excursions on our three city, almost 400 mile AK trip, this one was a huge disappointment.

Hi Robbie, thanks for taking the time to share your experience. I believe you may be confused with another tour though. This tour is the Self-Guided Jeep tour which is described on Viator as a tour to explore Denali on your own terms on a self-guided Jeep tour and this tour encourages independent travel and lets you take your 4WD Jeep Renegade on gravel roads for a true Alaskan adventure. In the additional info it is noted that this tour is intended to allow guests to experience seldom-visited locations and backcountry byways, but traveling off established roadways is not permitted. As highlights it does say that you will have a souvenir guidebook that provides suggested routes and that traveling on your own means you can stop whenever you want and never have to wait on other tourists. There is a fully guided Jeep tour in the Denali area that is a follow-the-leader type tour with many Jeeps down a gravel road with CB radio type communication. However, this tour you selected lays out and provides a self-guided experience for those looking for their own adventure to lesser traveled areas. We hope you had a great trip to Alaska and were able to take in some breathtaking views making memories to last a lifetime!

That was an amazing experience with the keep rental. They are very much professional. Kaden was so nice, he picked us from the hotel and we got the jeep from their parking lot. He gave us a brochure and explained to us that we can just go 15 miles of the Denali park with our jeep. No private vehicle can go beyond 15 miles. We enjoyed the drive plus it was a new jeep. We had a great time at each of our destinations. Our expectations were not more than what we got. We saw the Denali mountain views as well, but it was a bit cloudy. All inconveniences aside though, I am truly thankful to you for making this Denali journey easier for us.

Jeep was OK. Contact was friendly and anxious to accommodate. The location was too far from the princess lodge.(20 min in the wrong direction) There was a competitor directly across the street who had nicer equipment and was $25.00 cheaper.

We used to be located on the boardwalk but COVID has changed a lot and some location changes were needed. We now operate out of the year-round community next to the park entrance area. I loved that we could go when and where we wanted in the park. Gave us time to take all the photos we could not take on buses....also Brad picked us up at our hotel and returned us. Special thanks to Brad who also helped us look for moose on our return to the hotel trip...

We had hoped for what was stated as off road jeep excursion. We merely drove down highways we could have driven in our own car.
