Abby was so knowledgeable and helpful. She shared so many great insights about our walk. Beautiful fall colors were the icing on the cake.
Don was our guide and he was fabulous. I really enjoyed our walk with him. He was so knowledgeable and could answer all of our questions. Would highly recommend having him as your guide!
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about plant life in the park and general area. It was interesting to learn about what was edible and what could be dangerous, and what changes are being seen due to warming trends. He also communicated well prior to the tour so you knew where to meet up and what to expect?

Abby was wonderful! It was a lovely leisurely walk along the Riley Creek full of interesting facts about the incredible boreal forest and some yummy treats (berries & leaves) along the way! Definitely recommend for someone who wants to soak in and appreciate the land around them!

Don was great learnt a lot about the flora and fauna of Denali National Park! Arctic tree squirrel habitat was amazing. Pretty flat terrain.

This was the perfect experience for learning about the amazing nature of Alaska. It was structured enough but also allowed time for questions and discussion. Derek was extremely knowledgeable and an excellent guide!

The guide was very nice and knowledgeable.
The trail was beautiful.
However, it was very slow and a little boring. If you are looking for a stroll to meander through the woods, this is it.
If you are kooking for something a little more challenging, it is not.

To your point about it being a slow stroll: You're absolutely right, and I appreciate you leaving this review! I hope it helps people make the best choice for them in the future.
The tour you booked is described as a stroll on well-maintained park trails with an expert naturalist. The focus is on learning all about the forest, rather than hard hiking. It's our easiest tour, and it's done at a very slow pace.
We have other tours that it sounds like would have been a better fit for you. Our 5 hour Into the Mountains Tour focuses much more on hiking and views, while still having a naturalist guide. We also have a 4 hour off-trail tour with a focus on exploration, and one with a focus on primitive survival skills.
If you're still in Denali, I'd love to get you on one of our other tours that would be a better fit for you free of charge, so you can get the adventure you're looking for with us! Shoot us an email if that's possible!
Our guide, Don was delightful! He was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and personable. We learned a lot of fascinating facts about the beautiful scenery surrounding us and he entertained us with stories as we took in the stunning vistas in open areas as well as some wooded areas . An easy hike with a big “ pay off” !

We had a wonderful experience with our guide, Beth. She was great with our daughter and the other girls on our trip. Our three hour hike was in the Riley Creek area and we got great information about the plants and animals of the park.

Very easy trail. Our guide Adrian did a great job of teaching us about the forest plants and animals. We had a wide age range in our small group (9 people) and he kept all entertained. He even brought along a Beaver skull he had found elsewhere.

Excellent, personable guide. The only problem was that we should’ve had more explicit directions as to where we were to meet. We had to hunt for each other!
Don was a great guide - he was informative and attentive. It was a very leisurely, not strenuous hike on a trail outside the visitor center. He showed us lots of plants and explained so much about them. Discussed how the animals interact with the plants. Good experience. He supplied bug spray (mosquitoes), poles and snacks.

We only had a few days in the area, and we wanted to have an overview of the park with a guide. Jade did a great job of highlighting the climate/weather, plants, survival skills, and animal activity. We could have done the same walk ourselves but would have missed a hundred interesting details that he pointed out, from squirrel nests to tiny edible plants. It was also helpful to have the tour include rain gear, water, snacks, and bug repellent. Also while there were lots of people around the visitor center, we definitely felt safer with a guide. It was super convenient to be picked up at our hotel. Communication was great. We definitely recommend.

Our Denali Park Nature Walk with Jade was just what we were hoping for, we had an exceptional day! Jade‘s expertise through the park with all things plant and animal were very informative and fun! Our hike guide through Denali was Beth . Beth was extremely knowledgeable, spoke at an audible pace and loudness. and was very friendly and easy to be with. We couldn't have asked for a better guide and better experience . Also, the tour company Northern Epics called us a couple of times to ask if we had any questions or concerns about the hike or about Alaska in general prior to our coming to Alaska. Excellent all around!!

Be ready for all kinds of weather. Our guide Don was so prepared. He had bug spray for the mosquitos, room in his backpack if we needed to get rid of a layer and he even had raincoats for us! His knowledge of the area was quite entertaining. He even understood my slower pace and was accommodating. The views were spectacular for this first-time hiker! Would highly recommend this tour!
