Delicious afternoon at the Museum of Ice Cream

My 14 year old daughter and I (50) went for the afternoon. We had a great time together. The different rooms are cute and give you a lot to look at while you decide on your taste. The tastes are good size and different in every room. My daughter tried the specialty “hot dog” flavor which came in a real bun!! It was fun to try but not a favorite. Haha. Some hard ice cream and some soft serve. A great room with the history of ice cream and various tools, and a tribute to Pi Day which was fitting since we visited on 3.14. We enjoyed it!!

It said we would have an hour and 45 minutes but it seems like we booked it for 6 PM and we were very rushed. Some of the staff was not friendly for the amount we paid. It was not worth it.

Fun and different but wish I didn’t go when all the ice cream history was blocked with Christmas decorations. I had to peak around the trees to try to read the museum-y stuff. The eggnog ice cream in the game room was awesome!

It’s a fun for kids and ice cream lovers, we only sampled or was offered 5 different ice cream types including the hot dog ice cream. The website states 14 I think that is including maybe the ice cream with drinks.

I did have a fun time!!! It was my 36th birthday and I love ice cream.. which it why I was a little disappointed, the tour guide said there was 10 new different ice cream flavors we could try... I only had 4!!! Then the had an bar where u could have drinks (alcohol) which would have been great except you had to pay for it!!! Then same of the games didn't even work!!! Overall I can't give this a good review unfortunately this was a hugh let down from my expectations

I am a youth director, and as part of the end of the year activities for our high school graduates we do a senior trip. We opted to do a day trip in Chicago and this was our first stop. I was a little worried it would be too "kiddy" for a group of 18 year olds but they LOVED IT. Aside from being able to eat unlimited ice cream at 10am on a Monday, it created great memories and photo ops. I would say the sprinkle pool may have been their favorite because it was veeerrrrryyyyy comfortable. Like...they didn't want to leave comfortable. I haven't been able to stop talking about this place since we got back. Super cute and super fun. Also, it's like a mile from the pier so it's a definite must-have on your list of things to do in Chicago.

Overall great time. Perfect for kids but it was just my husband and I and we enjoyed ourselves. The only reason I didn’t rate it 5 stars is because it really is expensive and I know they offer unlimited ice cream at the 5 stations but everything else you must pay for. You are definitely paying for the experience.
