It does save money but plan ahead

It provided good savings, but there are some issues. They have a 3 visit and a 5 visit. Its not obvious which works out for you, especially after their conditions and restrictions. Unless you are travelling in extremely peak season, you are fine just buying this at the last moment. Due to rain, snow and fog a lot of attractions were closed. We couldn't use our pass and there's no refund.

We had a blast! Willis Tower was really cool. Field Museum is massive, it takes a very long time to get through. The aquarium was a hit with everyone. The architecture boat ride was amazing! I wish I could remember it tour guides name. He had such a wealth of knowledge about all of the current, past, and future buildings and he was hilarious to boot. If you do it at sunset you get to see some pretty incredible views of the city. We ran out of time and weren’t able to do all 5 attractions.

Our experience was frustrating We faced difficulties locating the destinations for the various activities due to the fact that direction wasn't provided. We could only do the skydeck and the shoreline sites seeing River Tour.

Great way to visit the city

Our flight was delayed a day we used the pass to do the ledge, chicago 360 and the aquarium. It was a great way to quickly see the city with the use of the hop on hop off bus as well.

Citipass is totally worth the money. VIP treatment that allows you to skip the very long lines at Willis Tower made it worth while just for that! We also did the 360 Observation, Art Institute and the Aquarium. I will definitely look for Citipass when I travel to other cities.

Pretty easy to use with the CityPASS app. Great having priority and expedited line access where available. Tickets on app easy to show and scan at venues. Nice option to change timed entry and dates with the app.

Just make sure you wear a hat for the sun. The buildings are beautiful, and we had a funny but knowledgeable tour guide. Never seen the buildings from that direction before, and we live in chicago. Its a must see !

The experience using the pass was poor and clearly not enough information. This was the fault of Viator. We were missing an email from them apparently. We called City Pass for help. No phone number for Viator. The pass itself was wonderful after you got it to work.

A bit confusing on the exact terms at the beginning and how to get it hooked up to the app, but absolutely worth it once you do! The reservations can be a bit of a pain (required for some sites) but the app streamlines it pretty solidly and (during the winter) it didn't require very much lead time to make it, so it was very flexible. On top of saving money, not having to worry about buying each of those tickets is a major relief. Also, a lot of those sites consider CityPass as a priority ticket so you get on shorter lines and into more locations (check out the details in each site's explanation to be sure). Overall, I'm going to get CityPass any time I visit a city!

App needs improvement

The attractions were great, but your app was not. I was unable to access my passes. When I called for assistance, I got a recording. I finally walked to one of the attractions and they provided a different number for me to call. After you resent me a link I was finally able to get in. The prices you have posted for individual tickets vs pass are inflated. I’ve used Viator in the past, but this experience has me thinking I may not use you again.

Shedd Aquarium is one of the best in the country. You can get up close and personal to many of the exhibits. I was surprised how many Beluga whales they had. The Field Museum is awesome. So many specimens. Hundreds of birds alone. The Sue and dinosaur exhibits are amazing. The Science and Industry is the best experience oriented museum in the county. The 727, Zepher, mine shaft and U505 exhibits are a must. So much to see that it’s a museum you could easily spend the entire day in.
