I’m so glad we were able to do this! My group was trying to figure out where to put it in our trip and while it was a very cold day, it was still a blast. We learned so much about not only the physical architecture but also the history of the city of Chicago. The coffee onboard was very good and out your guide had a great way of presenting to buildings to us. I would definitely recommend to those looking for an architecture tour!

Lovely tour. Nice folks. Nice boat. Exactly as advertised. Fair price. Knowledgable guide. Do note the slip is not on the main river. Actually very nice area for lunch after.

This is the best way to acclimate yourself to Chicago. We learned so much from the tour guide and used what we learned all weekend long. The crew was amazing and professional and the complementary drinks especially he hot chocolate was much needed on this cold afternoon.

This was the best boat tour we have ever taken. Tyler was excellent. He was informative and very knowledgeable. He gave us an excellent overview of Chicago history and architecture. We appreciated that he did not try to be a comedian, as some guides do. The whole experience was enjoyable and informative. It was well worth the money and time. The rest of the crew was helpful and professional.

This was more than just an informative or educational experience. This was a totally awesome experience. Our guide, Tyler was exceptional. He really new his stuff. So very knowledgeable. I appreciate everything, it was wonderful. The weather was a bit chilly, but it didn't take away from the wonderful cruise we had.

A fantastic tour from start to finish thanks to Staff. Crew and Superb guide. One of the best Viator tours we have tsken over the year and our first in Chicago and provided so much background information about the city 😀! Talented. It was a very nice boat ride. We enjoyed it, but….. it was not what we expected. We got to the boat 15 minutes before start time and the top deck was full, so we had to sit below under the top deck. We could not see the buildings on the sides or see the buildings as they were pointed out by the guide. Other tour companies we saw on the river did NOT seat customers below where they couldn’t see. They limited seats sold to those with an appropriate view. As the tour went on, people lost interest because we couldn’t follow the guide’s talk. While it was nice to see the river and the first two floors of the tall buildings, I would choose another tour operator.

Arrive at least 15-20 mins before tour begins. Brian was a wealth of information sharing history of Chicago and the beautiful architecture. Learned about so many architectural greats and their influence on the city. Will do this tour again. Well worth the time and great value for the dollars.

The boat ride was lovely, the tour guide Al, was not very good. He spoke in a monotone voice and just recited information. I did this tour years ago it was fun and interactive. The tour guide was an overall disappointment, at times we were unable to hear him and he did not even pause for passing trains. I have booked any tours thru Viator and we have always been very satisfied.
Perhaps a different guide would have made the tour much more enjoyable. He reminded us of a boring college professor, you can see others on the tour were also disinterested. The man who gave the safety briefing was more engaging.

The cruise and the guy who presented to info as we rolled down the river, was excellent. We learned so much Chicago history, and of course viewed the awesome buildings along the Chicago River. I highly recommend spending 2 hours on this most relaxing, and enjoyable excursion!

A fabulous tour. Not a huge boat, provided free beverages as well as those libations that require fee. The tour guide was so informative and knowledgeable. The seating is all outside so bring a hat or cover up for protection from the sun. It was a great way to cover some ground in downtown Chicago.

We were looking for an easy way to see the city and this was it!! Extremely knowledgeable guide and friendly crew. Beautiful views - even when it rained!! My 2 teenage sons loved the experience, so that says something!! We did the 90 minute and it went by quickly with so much to see. Highly recommend!!!

Cruise was nice and the staff was friendly have always wanted to do this! Our tour guide Justine was very knowledgeable and loved that drinks were available definitely worth the $50 a person next time we come back to Chicago we will definitely do the night tour!!
