We enjoyed the ride and history that was presented, but to call it a haunted tour is a little exaggerated. This was our second tour and the daytime was better to us.

This was a fun unique activity to do one evening in Charleston. It was not scary at all - I had hoped it would be a bit more "haunted".

Be ready for the aromatherapy treatment of horse manure.
Some people will comment and criticize you for partaking in this event because they believe the horses are mistreated. That is false. The horse are well taken cared of.

Our tour guide didn’t do the best job story telling. She hopped from present tense to past tense and she was hard to follow. I was expecting a better experience but the stories were just kind of meh. They could have been real good but she just was really hard to understand.

This was good for kids. Not too scary and most of it was historical. Great idea for nighttime tours with the heat it is tolerable. Sam and Dusty are wonderful.

Good haunted stories and stories about Charleston
Our guide was funny and interesting and interactive with everyone. Answered questions to my 8 year old granddaughter and was also very professional. We had Big Mike and he was great !

It was fun but a bit pricey for the amount of time it took. Unfortunately, it started to storm during our ride and we got wet but it felt pretty good considering how hot and humid it was.

The haunted house ride was more calming than haunted and I really enjoyed it after a long, hot day of walking King St and shopping. They just touch on the deep, rich history of SC, but it was still informative and fun. Bill and Charley were great! I love how Charley would occasionally stomp his hoof 😊

Kind of a tongue-in-cheek haunted tour. A bit of humor to go along with the history. We took what was probably the last tour of the day for the guide and horse on a very hot evening. Both the guide and horse persevered.

In the past, our experience with the horse and carriage rides have been very positive. Since this one was “haunted“, we expected a bit more. There seemed to be a lot more focus on Duece (the horse) than the purpose of the ride. No one asked any questions about the horse… and quite frankly, that information should be provided either on the website or in writing by way of brochure or something ahead of time. Because of past experience with this company, I still recommend it for a good historical type tour.

Our guide, Kevin, did a great job talking about the historic aspects along the way, and adding in how some of the places have acquired "haunted/ghost" stories. He also did a great job controlling the horse pulling the carriage, who at times seemed to have his own idea about where the tour should go. But all in all, a very enjoyable experience.

It’s a must do if you are visiting Charleston. The company does a great job of taking care of their horses and their guides - specifically Miike - very knowledge and extremely entertaining. We could not stop laughing the entire time. My husband and I would recommend this tour to everyone and would do the tour again on our next visit to Charleston.
I give the tour A+.

Was a very nice, informative and relaxing experience. Our driver had lots of knowledge of the Charleston history which does cross over to the paranormal. My wife loved it and so did I.

We did the haunted tour with Big Mike as our guide and O’Malley our 4-legged leader. Big Mike had amazing ghost stories and knowledge, plus was hilarious! O’Malley was a super smart sweetheart. My favorite thing was the horses are well taken care of and loved on. Highly recommend!

Overall, the tour was good and we would do it again. The only reason we gave four instead of five stars has to do more with other passengers than the operator/guide. However, we feel that the guide should have stepped in to control the situation. The carriages have four rows that fit four people each. We were on the first row with another couple. The groups on the last two rows talked and joked around with each other incessantly throughout the tour, which was very distracting when we were trying to listen to the guide. I mean who books a ghost tour ride to no listen to the ghost stories?!?! We could tell the guide got annoyed too and he did try to talk over the disruptive guests but he never asked them to be quiet. Fortunately, from the front row we heard most of the stories but it was still distracting. Without other annoying passengers, it would have been an excellent tour.
