We did a private carriage ride and it was wonderful! Daniel was our guide—he really knows his town and was funny too! My mom has some mobility issues but the whole team made sure she could get into and out of the carriage. I highly recommend this tour group!!

I was surprised to learnthat my "private historic carriage ride" was with more than 8 strangers... and I paid $300 for 2 people. When I went to the website I thought I was getting a literal private carriage.. like the one shown. That may seat up to 4 people as described I'm my viator purchase. To my surprise, my boyfriend and I walk up to a carriage with easily 10-12 on board.
The event was great nonetheless, however maybe in your description you could be more specific when stating what the client is actually purchasing.

Our guide "Keke" (spelling?) was wonderful! He was extremely knowledgeable about Charleston's history and its buildings/homes. Our guide, though seemingly knowledgeable, spoke fast to a default, and had a speech impediment which made it very difficult to understand him. We are not hard of hearing (in our 50's) but had to ask him to speak louder and more slowly several times. We were sad to have missed out on a very expensive, private tour. The carriage(not the cleanest) had a very low roof that seemed to be loose and wiggling. If you wanted to see the top of a building you were passing, you had to duck your head out of the carriage to see. The person sitting along side of you had no view at all due to the low black canopy of the buggy. The ride came to an end and we were all disappointed. My brother in law looked at us and said, "Nice. But I couldn't understand a darned word he said."

Because of Covid, we purchased a private carriage ride through viator, and at the time I didn’t realize we were not booking through the actual company but through a third party, which caused some confusion with the attendant who had to make phone calls before we were able to go. He said it was his mistake tho. The actual tour itself was awesome! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about history and we enjoyed it very much.
