Lovely tour of Palatine and the Colosseum

We had a marvelous time. We had a late start and they waited for us which was wonderful as we booked with them last minute as another company cancelled on us. Our tour guide, Daisuke (unsure of the spelling), was quite charming and knowledgeable. His pacing was excellent and answered questions very well. You will be lucky if you get assigned with him. If there was any disappointment is that I would have liked to view the Colosseum from the upper level as well as where we saw it but this was minor. He really made me appreciate the Palatine area more than I thought I would!

Fabulous

The Vatican itself is breathtaking and meaningful for Catholics- our tour and our guide were amazing- we learned so much, she was able to navigate a detour due to Long lines at the Sistine chapel and prepared us for the expectations for that sacred space. We had a great experience visiting the Accademia Gallery with Galya as our tour guide! This was the perfect one-hour tour that covered all the highlights without feeling rushed. Galya was knowledgeable and did a wonderful job guiding us through the gallery and explaining the key pieces. Skipping the long entrance line was a huge bonus and made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Definitely get a tour

My friend said, “If you do one thing in Rome, spring for a guided tour of the Vatican museum”. He was right! It’s a zoo, and having a tour guide take you through is well worth it. Our guide was fantastic! And you get into St Peter’s Basilica through a separate entrance so you don’t have to wait in another line. Same with the dome climb if you want to do that.

We had to go to the inside out tours office near vatican to check in . The check in process was easy. They gave us headphones and radio. Our guide was Francesco. He was very knowledgeable and had a lot of information. He was passionate about the arts and religious history surrounding the Vatican. He was very detailed in his explanation of the paintings and sculptures. He even went beyond the allotted time of the tour to show the group the two marquis Raphael works within the St Peters basilica. He ensured that we did not miss any highlights. The tour was pretty tiring with lots of walking and lots of history and information. The sights were amazing. Water from the aqueducts was very tasty. One constructive feedback is to calibrate the information to the group time and interests. All in all we had a good experience.

Wonderful Step Back in Time with an Amazing Tour Guide

Book small group vs. large group. Book as early in the morning as possible to minimize overcrowded walking conditions. Wear comfortable shoes and prepare to walk steps and cobblestones. If English speaking, try to get assigned to Fe originally from Liverpool, England. Her knowledge of Roman history is absolutely endless. Her enthusiasm and humor were unmatched on any tour we’ve ever been a part of. And her speaking voice is impeccable and easy to hear for someone like me who has a hearing impairment. I truly felt bad for people who didn’t book a tour for they could not have experienced what our group experienced. Absolutely amazing and well done.

The guide was very knowledgeable and gave an extensive tour of the collesium, Palentine Hill and Roman Forum. His knowledge around the history of these places is highly commendable! The experience was great. The only issue I had was difficulty communicating with the tour operator prior to the tour. I texted through the app, but did not receive any response. I had to reach out to Viator directly to get in touch with the tour operator. Otherwise, it was a great experience! Isaac and Daniela were awesome!
