Is it the Castle, period.

Dan was good, his history was a bit all over the place, but you got the gist. We did not know that there was a whole little village of shops and restaurants at the bottom of the mountain. We also did not know where to go once we got off the bus at the top. Prior knowledge to that would have been nice. We did figure it out on our own. The wait for the bus was ridiculous, and I thought we paid for front of the line tour. However, the castle is breathtaking and I highly recommend spending the money to go inside. We went to The Residence in Munich the day before and the Neuschwanstein castle tour guide was 100% better. I recommend visiting the castle period, whichever tour company you prefer.

A Beautiful Tour with an Outstanding Guide

The tour is truly beautiful, although it would be even better if it could last a little longer so that visitors could fully enjoy the complete experience. Our guide, Elisabeth, was incredibly dedicated throughout the entire excursion, constantly sharing details about the tour, both historical and otherwise. I have honestly never seen a guide go so far above and beyond for her clients. Elisabeth is a true professional in every sense. A charming detail was that the electronic sign on the bus that took us up to the Eagle’s Nest displayed Elisabeth’s name.

Truly Magical

This is a magical tour. Though the castles are relatively young, to see a castle not in ruins was very interesting. The artistry of both castles were unbelievable. Note: you are not able to take photos in the castles . There is a fair bit of stair climbing, walking at elevation and on inclines so a good pair shoes are a must. Our tour guide Elof was fantastic. He not only relayed the facts. He was very good at relaying the logistics. Our driver provided yummy snacks and beverages. Thank you for a very memorable day.

Fantastic day excursion- Ursula was a knowledgeable guide and shared so much information with us not only on the coach but also at each stop as well. The coach is beautiful and roomy and the snack and coffee bar a lovely extra to enjoy ... along with the Bavarian treat at the end of the Neuschwanstein castle stop 😊 It is a tight time schedule and it would have been nicer to have more time at each stop ... but still worth it.

Great perspective from the waterway

Great tour. And viewing of the sights from a different perspective. The guide was fantastic and explained everything so well. I missed my time slot the day I had booked for, and they told me not to worry just come the next day anytime and I did. We highly recommend the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site tour; it was both educational and very thought provoking. Our guide Connie not only shared the history behind Dachau and the other German concentration camps, she brought the brutal conditions there to life as she described how the prisoners were processed and treated. Connie also shared excerpts from prisoners’ accounts of Dachau, which were extremely moving. She also did a great job getting the group on the train and the bus, then getting us back to Munich again.
