After several hours, your tour ends back at the meeting point.

- The colosseum currently guarantees special access to the arena floor which is off limits to the general public. The arena area is where the gladiator fights took place and also gives you the closest view of the underground area possible
- Please provide the full names of all travelers when booking. Failure to present a voucher with all travelers' full names at the ticket office prior to entry may result in denied entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
- Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.

This was amazing. Getting the arena floor option is a must and the small group size was perfect. Our tour guide Paula was absolutely brilliant. Paula is Roman native and anthropologist and brought insightful information and history. She was dedicated and provided valuable information in this jam-packed 3 hour tour. The time flew by.

We had a great experience with Valentina as our guide. We are small group which was great! She was very knowledgeable about the Roman Empire and the Vatican. The history was unbelievable. She showed us pictures of before and explained why it looks this way today. There is a lot of walking.

Carlotta was wonderful! She was very friendly and had a great sense of humor and was also very knowledgeable. She got us in the Colosseum early before it got too crowded. Even though it was a small group she provided headphones and they were very helpful in making sure we didn’t miss anything she said. Highly recommend!

This tour was incredibly informative. Our guide Luca was an archeologist who had actually performed excavations in the Roman Forum and more recently contributed to the restoration plans for the Colosseum. He brought Roman history to life, including so many interesting facts about the Roman emperors, senate, gladiators, and more. We learned so much on this tour and enjoyed it very much.

The tour ended up being my wife and I and another couple. Our guide was Luca and he was amazing. He led us through the different parts of the coliseum and the forum. He provided a ton of information but did not get far into technical details. The tour was perfect for us. We spent enough time covering everything but not too much. We did end up running a little long but no one noticed or minded. excellent tour by an excellent guide.

Wow! We had the most wonderful tour with Caterina at the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Forum. This was a repeat visit for us, yet we learned SO much from Caterina about the history of the games and the whys behind the architecture. She is fun, intelligent, sweet and such a fabulous tour guide. My family would take tours with Caterina over and over again!!! 100/10 experience for my family. The tour company was also very communicative and helpful!

I would highly recommend this tour. Our guide, Dario, was incredible! He was so informative, answered any questions we had, and really made the Colosseum/Roman Forum come to life for us. He had additional pictures to share which helped explain visually what life would have been like during that time period. The small group setting was great, we were able to hear him perfectly, no need for annoying ear pieces. Definitely the best way to see and experience these amazing landmarks!

Our tour with Valentina was great. She was very knowledgeable about all aspects of Roman history and very personable. We started the tour up on Palintine Hill and worked our way down to the Colosseum and eventually had the chance to walk out through the gladiator gate. Our boys (23 and 17) loved the tour as much as we did. Try to book earlier in the day if you are there in the summer. Helps to avoid crowds and the afternoon heat.

Being in a small-sided tour allows you to get so much knowledge from the guide which makes the experience so great. Marco was our guide and he was very knowledgeable. Used humour effectively and engaged the tour members in coming up with questions in order to get participation.

My teenage sons and I I toured the colosseum and the forum with Catarina. She was a fantastic guide-very friendly and knowledgeable. And she gave us enough history and information to bring the sites to life without it being information overload. She navigated us through so smoothly that we barely noticed the crowds. And the arena access is definitely worthwhile.
