Surprisingly good

Zaanse Schans preserves the traditional rural life of 19th century Holland, with working windmills and cheese and clog factories. It’s geared to tourists, of course, but the experience is not overly corny or in-your-face commercial. The bucolic locale is a pleasant diversion from the bustle of Amsterdam. Our guide was fun and well-spoken.

Great tour.

It was a quick trip with short stops at each of the locations. Apart from the first stop which could have done with an extra 30mins, the other stops were all very good with the right amount of time. Our guide not being from Netherlands until recently was an interesting perspective but he did well. Would recommend this tour.

Nice Canal tour.

The tour was informative. The ride was comfortable. Unlimited snacks and drinks were okay. I didn’t see any ice as it would have been nice to have ice cold drinks. Our guide, Joe, was nice and funny. We were lucky that there were only 4 guests in total but if the boat is full, it might be hard to hear the guide speaking.

Go Back in Time

During our trip to Amsterdam, we couldn’t get tickets for the Anne Frank house so we booked this Jewish history walking tour. It was an amazing time thanks to our guide, Clare. Clare made it a very emotional and respectful look back at this time in Amsterdam history, explaining and showing us the spots and landmarks that the Jewish people lived and experienced. She is very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. You learn a lot about the life of Anne and her family as well as the brave people who resisted the Nazis, and even about the gay community and their persecution. We highly recommend booking this tour and enjoying Amsterdam streets and bridges from a new perspective.

Had a lovely experience. Incredibly friendly and knowledgable tour operators. I highly recommend opting for the cheese and drinks option - VERY generous portion of cheese and lovely wine selection. The boat is undercover so protects you from the rain but still felt very open and airy for summertime. Very spacious too a large booth for a couple.

This is an excellent tour if you want to see the countryside around Amsterdam. The bikes were easy to use and made traveling the distance rather easy. The tour guide Anne was friendly and helpful and shared great tips as well as local knowledge. The cheese and clogs stop was highly entertaining. Our guide, Joeri, was laid-back, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about both the city and its food culture. The tour felt authentic from start to finish, taking us beyond the usual tourist hotspots and into smaller local establishments that I never would have discovered on my own. The food selections were excellent, offering a great variety of local specialties while providing insight into Amsterdam’s culinary traditions. Joeri also did a fantastic job adapting when one of the planned stops wasn’t available due to the unusually hot weather. Rather than missing out, he seamlessly switched to a great alternative, ensuring the experience never skipped a beat. Beyond the food, the walking portion through the historic canal district and Jordaan neighborhood was wonderful. Strolling along the UNESCO-listed canals while learning about the city’s history and culture added another layer to the experience. Well-paced, informative, and delicious, this tour offers a perfect combination of sightseeing and local food. Lovely sunset canal tour of Amsterdam

My friend and I booked this experience last minute because we realized we had booked a different canal tour for the wrong day. I was very happy with this tour and we had a lot of fun. We chose the unlimited drinks option and they let us keep a bottle of wine by us to drink throughout the tour. I unfortunately don’t remember our guides name but he was younger and was very entertaining. He shared information about certain buildings and monuments throughout the tour, and answered any questions we asked. His english was very good as well and I had no issue understanding him. Overall it was a fun experience and I’d do it again!
