Itinerary
Begin your day in Piazza Luigi Cadorna, where you’ll join up with your guide and small group. Come prepared with comfortable walking shoes and clothing that covers the shoulders and knees, as a dress code is enforced at many of the churches.
Take off into the city, learning about the famous Duomo di Milano as you go. The Gothic cathedral is the largest church in the country and the fifth largest in the world, taking nearly six centuries to complete. Crowds collect early at this showstopper, but you’ll bypass the lines entirely with your direct-access ticket.
Afterward, pay homage to one of the world's largest shopping malls as you pass the 19th-century Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Then skip the line inside the Chiesa di San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore before heading toward other top attractions, including Arco della Pace, Sempione Park and the 15th-century Castello Sforzesco. See artwork from the controversial Maurizio Cattelan and Bramante’s optical illusion inside the Church of Santa Maria presso San Satiro.
After pausing to purchase lunch, head to the UNESCO-listed Chiesa di Santa Maria delle Grazie, home to da Vinci's The Last Supper. Get an up-close look at the iconic mural, and learn about its restoration.

We definitely saw The Best of Milan!! It was a great walking tour and Samantha was very knowledgeable and fun.
Brittany_B, Aug 2026
Samantha was a great guide for this tour! We didn’t have too much time in Milan and this was a great way to see all of the highlights in a short time. Seeing the Last Supper painting was unreal. We also realized that it’s basically impossible to see the painting without being on a tour since the tour groups snatch up all of the tickets. A lot of walking but worth your time and money

Beware there's alot of walking involved. It's well worth it in the end. Carmine was our guide. He was awesome 👌 he's a great asset to the tour business.
Dr_E, Aug 2026
It was very organized, well informed. Allowed me to see the Last Supper picture. Our tour guide Christina was very nice and pleasant. Explained everything we needed.
I recommend that tour.
Daksha_D, Aug 2026
Very beautiful and informative. Carmine our guide was informative and very helpful.
He explained Last Supper/ Duoma paintings and artifacts with touching clarity.
Beth_W, Aug 2026
Carmine was indeed, an exceptional tour
Guide! He was not only extremely knowledgeable about the sites and history
of Milan, but so too he was caring, compassionate, and truly cared about
his clients! Hats off to Carmine for
leading an extraordinary tour!

The visit to the Last Supper is a must. It was a leisurely walk that most people will manage.
Carmine was a fantastic guide, his English was great as was his knowledge.

Our guide Simone was wonderful! However it was raining (pouring at times) and we were soaked through and walking fast. I am 74 and just trying to avoid puddles and keeping up and with the rain I didn’t understand most of the narrative. My party quit the tour at 12:45 after seeing the Last Supper. However Simone’s narrative at the Last Supper was awesome. Three out of the four of us were so tired and wet we just couldn’t go on. I think the tour is too long and it sometimes felt like we were walking in circles. There was very little rest time, I didn’t expect that much walking at a pretty fast pace. I am sorry we missed the Duomo but did not regret leaving the tour. Simone has a wealth of information, I just wish I could have heard more of it.
Ken_K, Aug 2026
Seeing the last supper. Since it was sold out the only way of seeing it was on a tour. I highly recommend it.
Diana_S, Aug 2026
The itinerary is not at all what was advertised as it appears as you see the last supper when you start the tour. Viator should be more honest about the time you are actually in the queue. The guide was great but be transparent about the entire plan at booking
Daniel_J, Aug 2026
Samantha our guide was dedicated to our group so we could learn as much as possible about our tour stops. It was an extremely hot and humid day for a walking tour. However, Samantha kept our energy and spirits up.
She is a true professional in every way and Viator should be proud to have her on board!
Maurya_F, Aug 2026
The walking would have been fine if not for the oppressive heat.
Carmine was the best guide! He was extremely knowledgeable and very kind in the heat. He repeatedly asked if everyone was ok. He was flexible and gave great recs.
Debbie_Z, Aug 2026
Caroline was our tour guide. She got to know everyone in the group and offered us to stop for breaks & pictures. She was very informative on the Milan history & paced the day well. Enjoyed lunch at a local favorite. Last supper and Duomo were amazing! This is a walking tour, recommend good walking shoes.
Kristin_K, Jul 2026
Our guide Simone was the best! Informative polite and very aware of keeping us comfortable and safe. Everything was perfect despite the heat!

Great tour! Simon is a Terrific guide! Very knowledgeable! This tour gave a nice overview of many of Milan’s highlights! Very well run and planned out. Highly recommended!
Mark_P, Jul 2026
Simone was positively SUPERB! Informative, kind, very pragmatic, and exceptionally well prepared! We will most definitely book again.
Jeremy_S, Jul 2026
This is an interesting tour with a lot to see and experience. Unfortunately, the tour had a subpar guide (Corrinna) whose English was so poor that many on the tour pulled their ear pieces out. She often would discuss things unrelated to the tour. For example, at a Roman ruin, she discussed La Scalla. At La Scalla, she droned on about DaVinci. Halfway through the tour, three people simply left. I wish we did too.
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Dear Jeremy,
We’re pleased to hear that you found the tour itself interesting and appreciated the number of things to see and experience.
However, we must strongly object to your description of Corinna as a “subpar guide.” This is an unnecessarily disparaging way to refer to one of our longest-standing and most experienced professionals, who has been conducting tours at these sites for many years and has received hundreds of positive reviews from guests over time.
We also find it inappropriate to present your personal opinion as though it were shared by the rest of the group. We received no complaints from other participants regarding Corinna’s English, her explanations, or the content of the tour. Statements such as “many on the tour pulled their ear pieces out” therefore do not correspond to any feedback reported to us and cannot be presented as an established fact.
As for the topics discussed, a professional guided tour is not limited to describing only what is physically in front of the group at a given moment. Historical, artistic, and cultural connections are often part of the explanation and are intended to provide broader context to the sites being visited.
You are, of course, entitled not to appreciate a particular guiding style. However, presenting an experienced professional as incompetent and attributing the same opinion to other guests, when no such complaints were reported to us, is neither fair nor representative of the service provided.
In any case, we thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and are pleased that you still found the tour itself interesting.
Best regards,
Paola

It is very good opportunity to do and learn a lot in half a day for visitors staying only few days.
The guide was very helpful and knowledgeable.
Miguel_V, Jul 2026
This was a great introduction to Milan and the key sites of the Last Super and the Duomo. Take note that this is a long tour. Come ready to walk! But we had a lunch break and the guide was phenomenal. Knowledgeable but also truly passionate and authentic in her presentation
Michelle_B, Jul 2026
Guide didn’t speak English well and before you call me the ugly American, the guide who showed us the Last Supper was also Italian and I understood her 100%. Also there were missed opportunities to speak about Milan between stops. She silently lead us from monument to monument without speaking about some of the landmarks along the way.
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Dear Michelle,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are glad to hear that you had a positive experience during your visit to the Last Supper, but we are sorry to hear that you found the language barrier challenging on the other portion of your tour.
We would like to clarify that all of our guides are fully licensed professionals who have passed rigorous official examinations to conduct tours in English. Each guide, being a born-and-raised local, naturally carries their own unique accent—some may have a more pronounced Italian inflection than others, but this is a guarantee of an authentic experience led by a local expert.
Regarding the walks between monuments, our guides often use these moments to let guests walk safely and comfortably through Milan's busy streets, or to answer individual questions from participants, rather than lecturing continuously while on the move. However, we take your comments seriously and will share them with our team to ensure the right balance between commentary and transitions.
We appreciate your insights and hope you still carried home some wonderful memories of Milan's history.
Best regards,
Davide

Our tour guide,Simone, gave us a very detailed tour on a very hot day. He made sure to give breaks and he was able to move us smoothly and comfortably from location to location. He was accommodating to everyone’s needs and the tour was personalized. He was knowledgeable about everything in Milan. We would highly recommend this tour to others.
Karen_W, Jun 2026
We had so much fun and learned a lot of new things. Carmine was the best guide ever! Visiting the Last Supper was very special! We recommend the tour and ask for Carmine!!
Thomas_E, Jun 2026
Excellent way to see all the Milan has to offer. Tour guide was knowledgeable and made the experience enjoyable (even through a heat wave).
Jill_A, Jun 2026
Cristina was wonderful! She was so personable, fun, entertaining, and very knowledgeable! We sadly had less than a day in Milano but felt like we spent a decent amount of time there after our quality/valuable time with Cristina.
GEORGE_R, Jun 2026
There is considerable walking involved in this tour and a ride on a trolley. Christina, our tour guide passed out radio headsets and earbuds so we could very clearly hear and understand her excellent narrative of each of the points of interest. We had approximately 15 persons in our group. Christina was extremely well spoken in English and Italian. She was very knowledgeable of the points of interest and was very pleasant in her presentation.
Francois_v, Jun 2026
Included entrance fees to all the major attractions - ideal if you have limited time and want to see the major attractions
Jacqueline_H, Jun 2026
The agent cancelled our tour and we had already caught the train from Milan and they phoned us 15 minutes before the scheduled time m. They told us we would be fully compensated. I contacted via who also tried to contact the provider but did not get a reply . I hope Viator honours the refund. My suggestion is that you don’t use this Viator tour but go on your own with the ferry.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Dear Jacqueline,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback.
After checking our records, we would like to inform you that you have posted this message and review for the wrong company and the wrong activity.
This profile belongs to our Milan City Walking Tour (which includes Leonardo's Last Supper). As you know, Milan is a landlocked city with no sea or ferry transport. In your review, you mentioned taking a train from Milan to another destination and suggested that future travelers should "go on your own with the ferry."
It is completely clear that you are referring to a different excursion—most likely a day trip to Lake Como or a coastal area—operated by a completely different company. We have never cancelled your booking, nor was this your scheduled activity with us.
Since this review penalizes our local Milan walking tour for a service we did not provide, we kindly ask you to remove or update it. In the meantime, we suggest contacting the exact provider of your ferry/lake tour or Viator support directly to resolve your refund issue with the correct operator.
Best regards,
Davide

We had Christina as our tour guide and we absolutely loved her. She made the tour fun and before we knew it, the 6 hour tour was over. I would highly recommend her and this tour. We learned so much.
Mariela_P, Jun 2026
Our Tour Guide Cristina was knowledgeable, spoke impeccable English, and was very nice! She was one of the best tour guides that we have had in a long time. She definitely takes pride in her work!😊
Kenneth_A, Jun 2026
It seemed we were given such a compatibles guide to the clientele assembled for the excursion.
Our guide was incredibly insightful and I say this as I did six months of research before we arrived and she educated me on so many for Facts!!
Thank you!!
