Amazing Montserrat Tour Experience with Iván

The Montserrat with Lunch and Wine Tasting tour was one of the best tours I’ve ever taken. Our guide, Iván, was fantastic extremely knowledgeable about Montserrat, the Basilica, and the surrounding area. He shared great historical information while also giving personalized recommendations for things to explore during free time based on different interests. The wine tasting portion at the vineyard was equally enjoyable, and Iván’s knowledge of wine made the experience even better. The entire tour was well organized, informative, and relaxing. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Barcelona, especially if Iván is leading it!

Park in an hour

This was my second time at Park Guell. This tour was an hour and you get plenty of time later to tour on your own if you need it. I personally would recommend 1.5 hours. The guide spoke very good English with ample time for questions. Tour had 25-30 people. I prefer a small group tours.

Great tour to see the major highlights of Barcelona. Our guide Tatiana was information, knowledgeable and friendly. Seeing Sagrada Família was definitely a highlight. It was great getting picked up and dropped off at the hotel. Tatiana was great communicating information about the pickup. The only drawback of this tour was that I booked it in English, but it was about 80% Spanish speakers. Tatiana did a great job explaining everything in both languages, but an all English tour would have been preferable.

There is an elevator to...

There is an elevator to help avoid the steps. As expected, there are waiting lines to get into the cathedral and using the Viator tour (Skip the Line) helps. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and the use of voice boxes helped. I do think she should have used a flag on a stick to help see where she was. Our group included some with walking difficulties (me) and at times it was hard to keep up.

Gaudi’s genius

This was beautiful! The park was a lovely informative walk, and David, our guide, knew so much. At the Sagrada Família, he showed us all the intention Gaudi had, including the colors of the stained glass for the perfect time of day. He taught us so much and made us laugh while he did. Fantastic!

Family catamaran cruise.

Our cruise docked in Palma for one day. We decided to book this catamaran cruise. Our 4-hour adventure was outstanding. Our captain (Armon) and his assistant Oliver were the best. Oliver could not have taken better care of us. Provided a great tapas light lunch and drinks whenever requested. Besides a cruise along the beautiful coastline we stopped in a bay to do some swimming and snorkeling - which was very cool. The boat was awesome, spacious and clean. Everything was on time and just as depicted on Trip Advisor. This experience was one of highlights of our weeklong family trip.

Impressive

The church was simply amazing. Do it mid afternoon so you can see the amazing yellow glow created by sunlight and the stain glass windows on the west side. On the east side you can also view the blue hue on the ceiling which is stronger in the morning The only downside was the earphones were of poor quality which was surprising for a Viator tour. Also use the address for where to meet the guide as the Kurtz and Gut Gaudi store is gone

Great Overview of Barcelona

This is a great overview of Barcelona. We took what we saw and in the following days we returned to some of the places we saw. Our guide Andres did a great job of keeping us on time and explaining what we were seeing and where we could explore further on our own. This tour is walking plus a short bus ride to get to Sagrada Família. I don’t know if this tour always ends at Sagrada Família but we arrived there for 3:30pm tour time which was perfect for seeing the beautiful stained glass windows light up the cathedral from the afternoon sun. The guide explains the cathedral but you then go in on your own and can stay as long as you want. My only suggestion is to not go to one lunch restaurant but stop somewhere with more options as the menu was a dinner menu and we really only wanted a sandwich but not a full Spanish dinner menu which we planned to do in the evening. But it was a convenient location to the cathedral. We enjoyed this tour & ended up following several suggestions in our remaining time in Barcelona. Highly recommend.
