Lovely two hour tour with delightful tour guide. The tour was with an English speaking guide. Lots of history of the buildings in Florence and the people who built them. The tour guide very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. Two hours slipped by. The cost of the tour was £5, but you reward the Tour Guide separately at the end of the tour based on what you feel is appropriate. We gave 20 euros (two of us). Well worth the money. The Tour Guide also offered a "Darker Side of Florence" tour which we would have booked with her but we had to return home.

The experience was as promised with good and thoughtful information provided about the art and history. When you receive final meeting information, one should be aware that there is an additional 20 Euros fee per person for the entry ticket, which is not included in the price - this surprised me. Children are 4 Euros. The tour take one hour and truly enhances the experience. If it is a low season, you might get a timed entry at the gallery itself if you don't mind a little wait.

We were with a cruise, and booked this tour on our own. Unfortunately, we had to get back to the ship and leave the tour early. Our guide, Glenda, was great and worked with us so we could end the tour at our meeting point to go back to our cruise.

Ricardo was a highly informative, nice and helpful guide who really helped me get a sense of where I waa walking - north, south...- and why key places mattered in the Renaissance. I appreciated his approach and carefully customized presentations. If you go, please bring cash - at least 10 Euros per person. The tour is listed as "free" but it is more "pay as you are able." This involves trust so really do what you can. I hope most in my group did so though I thought I might have seen a slip away. So wrong! Go and enjoy this awesome experience. Thank you, Ricci!

Florence’s story is the Medici. You cannot have one without the other otherwise, very different story. Be prepared this tour gives you the story of Florence which is 100% Medici influence. Interesting but we didn’t really see the sites of Florence. Starts at the Medici church, San Lorenzo and ends at the Arno. It was good but not fantastic.
