This was a good experience, but if you have allergies, asthma or are limited to how many steps you can take, you need to consider.
We climbed down 40 meters. Not to be confused with feet.
It is cool, but damp. After all it is an underground cave. VERY interesting. You will climb about half of that to get out.

We participated in the Undergound Tour and we were not disappointed. It was really cool to see the tunnels underground and learn the history. Special shoutout to Alex who was super friendly, funny, and extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour if you visit Naples.

It was fascinating but our guide spoke so fast and along with the accent we didn’t understand much. The few times he spoke more slowly, his English was perfect. In general most tours rush you through trying to give too much information.

Typical for Naples, not much to see, crowded, dirty. Received good information and was entertained. But, the tour is crowded and overbooked making hearing and seeing difficult. I would not recommend this tour.

I have been on approximately 30 activities through Viator and other apps like it. This was the first one that asked me to change the time because it was incorrectly listed as an English tour. I was offered the 4 o’clock tour to replace the 3 o’clock tour I had originally signed up for. It was doable but not ideal. I showed up at 3 anyway because the English listing was still there for 3 and 4 was not listed. I just wanted to make sure there wasn’t a mistake. When I showed up at 2:45 the 3pm slot was indeed not available but then I realized to walk to and from to do anything else wouldn’t work since it was too far from those other things I wanted to see. I decided it was a quiet place to hang out for an hour because Naples is really chaotic. 4pm passed and I asked what was going on and they said the tour didn’t start until 4:30. While I was sitting for that hour I found a few things I could do after before they closed (all of them at 6/6:30). The tour would have ended at 5:30 and everything was a 30+ minute walk away. Cabs and buses were not an option. I was annoyed because it was disorganized and I had never experienced this with a Viator listing before. I think I got bumped from the 3pm English tour because I was a solo traveler. Traveling solo has its own challenges (not having backup and moral support when you need a break and loneliness being just a few of them) and this didn’t help. I can’t attest to the quality of the experience because I ended up leaving so I wouldn’t miss all of the other things I wanted to see. It looked pretty cool but I was only in Naples for the day.

Lots of stairs and small tunnels - you do need to be reasonably fit to do it all. Very interesting look at the old water cisterns that were used as shelters in WWII - Massimo was a very entertain and informative guide.
