The South Coast tour is a must do in Iceland

The South Coast Tour was one of the highlights of our Iceland honeymoon. Seeing Skógafoss, Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, and Vík was a dream come true—especially as a huge Game of Thrones fan. Visiting these breathtaking locations that appeared in one of my favorite shows made the experience even more special. But even if you’ve never watched Game of Thrones, every stop is absolutely stunning. Marieke was a fantastic guide giving us some history along with recent activities in the areas we traveled. Be sure to wear comfy shoes (with good grip) and clothes. Also don’t forget to bring a brush for after the Blue Lagoon shower.

This was s great tour with a knowledgeable guide. It was comfortable for all age groups with bathrooms on board and complimentary seasickness pills if needed. We saw 5 different whales and various birds. Such a cool experience. We even received pictures from the guide after the tour via email.

Great trip around the golden circle with Leifur and Tomasz!

Wonderful experience! Our guide Leifur and our driver Tomasz were excellent. The bus itself was very clean and comfortable, it could have been brand new. We were very lucky and had fantastic weather and were able to see all the sights very well. Leifur was very knowledgeable and a great duifeI felt the time alotted at each stop was good. Note that for some stops, the best views require a short hike, but this is not a requirement as most of the basic viewing spots are on fairly flat land. Also note this tour might not be accessible for those with moderate mobility limitations.

A memorable day in Isafjordur!

This shore excursion was perfect for our family. Bus Travel Iceland was professional and easy to work with and kept in frequent contact with us before the excursion. Tom was both our driver and guide and he was excellent and entertaining. He got us to the waterfall quickly and safely and in addition to providing history and cultural information, our kids said the bus ride itself was their favorite part because he was so funny! We had sufficient time to hike to the top of the stunning waterfall and the farm visit on the way back was a nice break to have a snack in a beautiful fjord and see the cute farm animals.

Golden Circle is the gold medal of tours

We were picked up at the cruise terminal where we dropped back at the end of the day. The excursion took in waterfalls, craters, geysers, tectonic plates and Icelandic horses. Alex drove us around and entertained us. The guide doesn't take around the site; you are left to wander around yourself which was fine by me. The scenery is stunning and we were blessed with one of the hottest days in Iceland this year.

Definitely worth the full day

The sites are gorgeous, and the waterfall is surprisingly grand. You will want an extra layer when visiting the waterfall. The Blue Lagoon is just as beautiful and the photos. Our guide (Mika) was knowledgeable and kept us on schedule to maximize our time at the Blue Lagoon.

A fantastic tour!

The tour operator sent us a text the night before and suggested we add on the Secret Lagoon. It was an incredible suggestion! Our guide Sunni was amazing - funny, full of great information, talkative at the right time and quiet at the right time. And the driver Tomak did an incredible job as well. 5 of 5 stars would 💯 recommend!

Awesome Experience

We did the morning trip to the Katla ice caves with Davi, he was super knowledgeable and had great information. The ice cave was really awesome and afterwards because the weather was so nice we went to a couple other view points to see the volcanic deserts and glaciers. We drove back along the beach and Davi had plenty of stories about trolls and elves to keep us occupied!! It helped that the weather was beautiful and sunny and in the mid 50s. Overall a great trip and highly recommend Gravel Travel!

Fun, interesting, beautiful day.

This was a very interesting tour. The meet up was very easy to find and the bus was very comfortable. The bubbling, steaming mud was the highlight. Norbert was very knowledgeable and shared interesting information about life in Iceland. He also went out of his way to accommodate everyone on the tour.
