It was a great ending to...
It was a great ending to our week in Maine... I was with 2 of my grown daughters and we loved it... The captain was spectacular and his crew was fabulous.... we had an Aussie as one and we loved hearing him speak and he made sure as the other one did too, to speak to each passenger and talk to us and tell us where he was from.... the other mate was so helpful and encouraging, because one of my daughters is not really fond of boats but loves to take pictures of EVERYTHING.....and couldnt see over the rails,,,she told her she could do it and encouraged her to stand up..... before we were done she was standing taking alot of pictures... so we really had a great sail and it was all beautiful.

Schooner
Clean boat friendly staff Relaxing cruise Although nothing was said from the captain or the two other sailors, it was enjoyable. Wish they would’ve provided some history or other facts about the schooner or Portland. He did say he was not going to talk. And he did not!

Enjoy the ride with a hefty dose of history and local insight!
Our tour guide, Stephen, was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience fun! After a long day of walking the ride was well worth the time to rest. I learned a lot more about the city than I would have wandering by myself. It was a great experience!

We enjoyed our sunset...
We enjoyed our sunset cruise of Portland. The captain and crew were fun and informative. There was plenty of room on the boat to walk around and take pictures. The captain also offered guests to helm the boat, which my daughter accepted. The evening was cloudy so we didn’t get the beautiful sunset views but the trip was worth it no matter. We saw seals and lots of birds.

As Maine’s largest city, Portland boasts a thriving (and growing) arts and culinary scene. Home to beautifully preserved Victorian-era buildings and the most photographed lighthouse in the world, it exudes a charming Old World ambiance. On Portland tours, local guides—often born-and-raised Portlanders—share lore and hidden gems as you explore the seaside city by foot, ship, vintage fire truck, or bicycle. After sightseeing, indulge in a seafood walking excursion and savor the quintessential Maine lobster roll, served simply with butter, never mayo, to discover what all the buzz is about.
