Breathtaking Nā Pali Coast Tour — Hearing the Whales Sing Was Unforgettable!

I know this review is a little late, but I absolutely wanted to recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kauai! The views of the Nā Pali Coast were absolutely spectacular—truly some of the most breathtaking scenery we’ve ever seen. The snorkeling was fun, but my absolute favorite part was something I will never forget. Because of the time of year we went, we could actually hear the whales singing underwater while we were snorkeling! It was such an incredible, almost surreal experience. Being surrounded by the beauty of the Nā Pali Coast while listening to whales sing beneath the water was truly magical and something I’ll remember forever. Highly recommend this tour!

Mahalo Makana Charters...

Mahalo Makana Charters for such an amazing experience. The captain and crew were absolutely amazing… informative, entertaining and super accommodating! We got to see even more than I was expecting to see. The snorkeling was an added bonus and did see plenty of fish. The water was so nice! We will definitely be doing this again with Makana Charters when we visit Kauai in the future. I highly recommend including this as a must do when visiting this beautiful island.

Wonderful adventure for our anniversary!

Our guide Kai was a very warm friendly and knowledgeable native Hawaiian. He made the journey so fun and was very careful to make sure that everyone was safe. This is a local family owned business that put their hearts into their work. Highly recommend them for this amazing adventure. The hike is doable for non-athletic people but come prepared to get dirty and have hiking sandals that can drain easily.

MORE than I was expecting

I went to a Luau on the main island at 16, and it was awesome but this was completely different. I was NOT expecting that. It’s a whole production, the talent of the people who are in this show is astonishing!! The way the blend the history, with authentic heritage and theater is really amazing. At first we were really just looking for something more mellow and we wanted to get as authentic experience as possible, but this place gives you what you may for. Excellent food, free drinks, and and AMAZING show.

Family ziplining adventure

We had an amazing time ziplining! Jadin and Grace were our guides, they were knowledgeable, friendly and made the experience so much fun. Without question it will be a highlight of our trip to Kauai, something we will all always remember. We all got to fly on the zip lines and even got a great picture with a dinosaur. A truly fantastic time and an amazing memory for all of us. Plus we just mentioned what we were doing the rest of the day and they were quick to offer suggestions on places to stop at to make our day even better. Cannot recommend the adventure and Jadin and Grace enough! 5 stars for sure!

Amazing

We were staying at Kauai Beachboy right next door. This luau was so convenient. There were so many different varieties of food which were all good. Was surprised at all of the entertainment (before dinner and after dinner). Mai Tai drinks were tasty. The dancers and fire dancer were amazing. Would highly recommend.

This was a fantastic...

This was a fantastic experience. I was very impressed with the boat captain. We were able to go into all the caves. The videos and photos they took were amazing so there was no need to take your own. This experience is very bumpy and you do get wet. We were lucky that everyone on the boat was ready to do some real boating. It was a blast and the views incredible. Thank you.

Hands down. YES, book a private doors off experience with Mauna Loa Helicopters.

For my husband’s birthday on 7/24 we decided to fly with Mauna Loa Helicopter Tours doors off adventure over Kauai. While my husband had flown before, it was my first time. I was quite nervous, but more from excitement. I was the one who chose doors off. We checked in at the NEW LOCATION at 3748 Ahukini Rd. Lihue, HI 96766. Kalei welcomed us and gave us our time to come back to get ready for our flight. She then directed us to a lounge with restrooms across the street. Preflight preparation with Kalei. First, we watched a short safety video. Next, we strapped a flotation device around our waists. Kalei had us remove our phones from their cases to properly secure them in a holder with a wrist strap. Then we waited on the front bench for our pilot. Within moments, our pilot WALT, walked over and greeted us with a big smile and a hearty handshake. After chatting with Walt, all my fears vanished. He was happy, friendly, and confident. He truly was a cool guy that you do not mind hanging out with for an hour in helicopter. He shared lots of interesting facts about the island and we had a lot of fun laughs. Walt as a pilot was gentle but effective with necessary safety information. His instructions were clear and easy to follow. Getting in and secure was remarkably easy. The flight itself was smooth. We did have some light rainfall during the flight which made for a spectacular rainbow. The entire experience was magical. If you want to know what we saw on the tour, you will need to book the tour and find out. You will not be disappointed. If you end up with Walt as your pilot, you are in great hands. Have fun! I would mention about the...

I would mention about the chances of seeing dolphins or whales in the afternoon like we did is nil in the summer so, it's better to reserve for the 0700 tour. I chose not to snorkel that day because it was a little chilly and like rush-rush for a 71 yr old woman like me. I like to take my time snorkeling and just enjoying it.

One of the best luau's in the entire country it was amazing and the experience and the culture and the food was divine. The drinks are complementary and the blue Hawaiian and the mai ties are fantastic. Breath taking! From the thrill of being in the (doors off) helicopter to the stunning views of the canyons, waterfalls, shoreline, and crater the entire experience was (is) exceptional. Our pilot (Reed) was FABULOUS! Knowledgeable, calming (doors off - is an experience!), kind, and above all a superior pilot. Viator is a great outfit. We highly recommend them.
