Pickup is available from all cruise ship terminals in Portland as well as hotels, Airbnbs, and private residences within a 15 km (9 mile) radius of downtown Portland. Your guide will contact you prior to the tour to confirm your exact pickup location and coordinate the best start time for your day. If you are visiting Portland on a cruise, your guide will also confirm your ship’s docking and departure times to ensure the tour is timed perfectly and that you return to the port well before your ship departs. This itinerary is designed to give cruise guests a wonderful introduction to Maine’s scenic Mid-Coast while still fitting comfortably within most cruise schedules.

AJ was our driver and tour director for the day. He is very knowledgeable of the area north of Portland to Boothbay Harbor. One pleasant surprise was Maine Botanical Garden. Not only is it landscaped with a large variety of trees and plants but it also has a unique set of eco-friendly sculptures. Our favorite stop was the sea-side town of Boothbay Harbor. Picturesque and historic, all that reminds you of Maine.

Aj was a great tour guide! Punctual and reliable! He was able to customize the tour to our interests at any time during the tour. Helped us to make the best use of our short time in Maine. Knowledgeable and engaging, he made for an enjoyable and interesting day! We were able to cover so much in such a short time! Highly recommend!

Stephanie was amazing! She picked us up from the hotel, had snacks available (which she made sure were within dietary restrictions), drove us to a lot of really cool places and made sure to take pictures for us and tell the significance of each location, let us pick the restaurant to accommodate my dietary restriction, and dropped us back off at the hotel.

This tour was one of the best I have ever been on. Our guide was very informative and took us to places that weren’t even on our tour. He went out of his way to make sure we had the best tour. He took pictures of us and things he thought we find interesting and sent them to us. Besides providing drinks and snacks, he knew we didn’t have time for lunch so when we got back to the van, he bought lunch for us and had it waiting for us. I recommend them highly if you want an interesting and a fun tour. AJ was the best tour guide who made it a tour we will never forget

The lighthouses were are real treat. Arnie our tour guide was very accommodating and informative. A little more car time than we would have liked, but enjoyed, nonetheless.
