Good trip

I really enjoyed this trip. Hallstatt is a beautiful little town that was very scenic. The trip up to the waterfall is nice. The local tour of Salzburg was helpful. It was a nice town but rather crowded with tourists. Olga did a fabulous job as a tour guide. She was extremely helpful and attentive making sure that all of the needs of the 49 people on the trip were met. This does make for a very long day so do be prepared for that.

A True Musical Gift

St Peter’s is an incredible venue in which to see a live Vienna performance. The church itself is an explosion of religious iconography and you could spend your time looking around the interiors but the acoustics of the performance and the quality of the musicians will keep you focused on their artistry. It was a lovely performance with a mix of somber Mozart with the vivacious mess of Vivaldi and all done with excellent mastery. It was only about an hour long (the seating is a bit uncomfortable) and try to get a seat close (pricing is based on location but not assigned seats) but worth the effort and extra $ to see the group perform. Well worth it and process to order, enter and be seated is well organized.

Fab despite the insane requests of fellow tourists ; )

Our guide Sandra was amazing! The tour was lovely and she shared great information as well as her own personal insights. We learned a lot about the Habsburg reign and her favorites. The tour of the gardens and the “Wow” moment was worth it all! We were staying at the Hilton Park Plaza and the train ran directly to the castle from the Mitte station in front of the hotel. GREAT DAY!!

4 Americans going underground and drinking wine (not at the same time) in Vienna

Very comfortable Mercedes runner vans. Reasonably sized (12 person as opposed to the 30-40 person bus trips) personal tour. Good information on the drive to the stops. Underground lake was beautiful and the history behind the lake was amazing. I would recommend a blanket or jacket because it is about 40° F in the tunnels. Wine stop was a very nice small family winery in a gorgeous area. We had Ivan as our driver who spoke enough English to make us laugh a couple times. Taras was the main tour guide who made sure we had everything we needed and had great stories and information about all aspects of the trip. I would highly recommend this tour!

A unique way to explore the food and neighborhoods of Vienna

Magdalena was an excellent guide for this tour of Vienna which not only treated us to a variety of local foods, but also took us to outer neighborhoods which we would not have explored on our own. We experienced lively outdoor food markets and visited small local shops to sample classic Viennese food like Wiener schnitzel, pastries, and cheese stuffed sausages. It was a good combination of walking through neighborhoods and taking public transportation such as trains and above ground trams, which made it easier to visit different districts without exhaustion. Having a small group of 5 made for a more personal experience and gave us the opportunity to ask Magdalena about her experiences from growing up in Vienna to living and working there as an adult.

Not just a pretty building

Andy made this tour more than looking at a beautiful palace with frescos and ornate rooms. He told fascinating stories about the royal family and how those related to the social and political history of Austria. He gave you a sense of what living in Austria was like as a royal, an aristocrat and a commoner. Much much more than just a tour of a pretty building. Gardens were impressive and there was much to explore after the tour ended— the zoo, the orangerie, and the palm house. Well worth the time and money.

Great Hallstatt Day Trip

Hallstatt is a fantastic destination, definitely worth visiting. The lake and town are beautiful. There is also an interesting museum with artifacts from Neolithic and Roman times. The boat trip around the lake was also fun. The trip from Vienna takes about 3 hours each way, but the time goes by quickly with a couple of scheduled stops along the way. Our tour guide Lilly, was very nice and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this day trip.

Lovely day tasting sone austrian wines

We had absolutely great international group in this trip. Our guide&driver Martin was so great and he took very good care of us. He made our day so special. We had two different tasting session. The first one included some information about wine making. We had traditional two course lunch during the second tasting. I can highly recommend this trip for everyone.

Book direct, we made our own way to the desk, checked in, then taken to our seats which to be fair we weren’t expecting, We were sat in the isle not the pews, consequently low down. Didn’t really see why we need Viator, sorry, I guess I wanted reassurance but only booked did I find that the purchaser is own their own
