We had an amazing experience on the Taste Vienna food tour with Ana as our guide! She was prompt, knowledgeable, and a joy to spend time with. Ana knew all the right spots to take us—places we likely wouldn't have found on our own—and shared interesting stories and insights along the way that really added to the experience. My family and I always book food tours when we travel, and this one definitely ranks among the best. The food was delicious and varied, offering a great taste of traditional Viennese flavors. One tip: if you're not used to fresh horseradish, go easy at the Frankfurter Stand , --- look up side effects. Highly recommend this tour for food lovers looking to explore Vienna in a fun, flavorful, and authentic way. Ana made it truly memorable!

We tasted Vienna until our bellies were so full on this tour. Ana did an incredible job explaining the importance of the foods and how they influenced Vienna’s culture. You get to try pretzels, sausages, a full meal with schnitzel AND goulash. The goulash meat tasted like very tender brisket. Delicious! To finish the tour, a variety of desserts were offered and all were wonderful. Definitely choose this particular company when booking a food tour in Vienna. You won’t be disappointed!

Lots of walking between meals, which we loved as Viennese food is heavy. Our guide shared many interesting tidbits (besides food) and was friendly and quite charming. The only downside was that the first course, a pretzel, was very stale and those of us on the tour were too polite to say anything. She doesn’t eat the food herself so didn’t realize. We loved the tour and it was a highlight to interact with a local who answered many of our questions about life in Vienna.l and created a communal feeling with other guests.

It was a good introduction and walking orientation to the center of Vienna and several of the most iconic sites, buildings, museums and churches within District 1. Our guide also gave a nice background on the mixture of cultures and history that have influenced the menu items we would be taste. The highlight was the classic coffee house with amazing deserts to choose from. I would recommend it for first timers to Vienna and at their arrival yo get a lay of the land.

Very interesting and informative tour with Mario a local who knew all the little eateries tucked away in the back streets of Vienna. Also gave us the history of all the foods we ate and the buildings we passed by. Can't recommend the tour and Mario highly enough.

My mum (70) and I (39) were in Vienna for the weekend from the UK and wanted to experience the tastes of Vienna — and we definitely did! After four delicious courses and a drink, with much-needed walks between stops, we practically rolled back to the hotel. We were in a group of seven others — three couples and one solo traveller — and it was a really good mix of ages, nationalities and personalities. Ana, our guide, was lovely: warm, engaging, and full of knowledge about the food and the city. The tour felt relaxed and friendly. A great way to explore Vienna through its food, and something I’d highly recommend.

My husband and I both enjoyed the tour, the food, and getting to know a little about Vienna. We purposely booked this tour around dinner time on the day after we arrived in the city, as we knew the city was likely to be pretty overwhelming those first two days and we'd struggle in identifying a good spot for dinner among all of the options. As it turned out, we found some amazing options in this tour! The variety of food was impressive, from traditional pretzels from one of the oldest bakeries in the city to different kinds of sausage obtained from a street kiosk (amazing - such a great surprise) to drinks and goulash (my husband's new favorite!) in a small neighborhood place in the city to cake and coffee at the legendary Cafe Mozart near the Opera House. The quality of food and ingredients was amazing and the volume of food was slightly overwhelming (but such a good buy!) Our tour was pretty small, as we arrived in the city during a lull in tourist activity just before the Vienna City Marathon, so we go the benefit of really personal service. Lauren was such a great guide, as she offered up useful information on the city and even suggested a better/cheaper way for us to get to Bratislava, where we were going to book a tour for the very next day. We are so grateful for her expertise and guidance. We left the tour with a lot of recommendations for happy eating and additional things to see and do.

We booked our tour in the morning for the same day. It was wonderful to get out of the typical touristy spots and have a wonderful authentic meal with great conversation. We enjoyed the sights and sounds our showed us since it was different than an earlier typical city tour of Vienna.

We had a fantastic walking food tour throughout the heart of Vienna city center with Mario. Mario was well-versed in Viennese Austrian cuisine and is very knowledgeable about Viennese Austrian history as well. Food choices were on point, and we ended up going back to some of the places on the tour for a meal afterwards. It is a great walking pace, not too fast and not too slow. Would highly recommend this tour, especially for any first time visitors of Vienna. Ask for Mario, he is fantastic !

Fun Food Feast Tour with Lauren!

What a wonderful food tour with Lauren! This was a novel tour for me because unlike other food tours, we didn't make a dozen stops, sampling small bites of food but dug into 4 very fun, yummy courses at 4 different places where we savored what we were eating (and, if anyone is worried about too much food, there are "to go" boxes everywhere). Fun to try the Viennese breads, sausage (and vegetarian sausage from mushrooms), followed up by a sit down lunch to try viennese wiener schnitzel and goulash, wrapping up with a yummy Viennese dessert. Three+ hours sped by and Lauren was amazing - informative and fun. Highly recommend to all!

I love a good food tour and this one did not disappoint. We visited places that I never would have found/visited on my own. All the food we had was really good and the portion sizes were ample for dinner. Drinks were included at the second and third stops. The fourth stop was dessert, and we had our choice of cakes. I will note that this tour included a lot of walking. In my past experience, food tour stops are usually a bit more tightly located on the map, in one neighborhood. There was considerable walking between each stop which made the tour long.

Nice to get out and walk around, but starting with a dry pretzel, followed by a frankfurter for a 10 am event was an odd choice. The other two stops were better. Our guide gave a perspective of a US expat. Might have been nice to get a native perspective instead.
