Another Successful Day Trip

Every excursion booked with Viator has been a success. The latest trip was from Vienna to Bratislava to Budapest. Although lots of driving is required and you don’t have as much time in the cities as you would like, I look at these excursions as a taste test. When time allows I will go back and spend more time in these amazing places. Martin was our tour guide. He was kind, respectful and punctual. He was informative and he was a safe driver.

We are not big classical music people but felt like we should go to one concert while in Vienna. This 1 hour 15 min session at the Karlskirche was a good pick. Nice surroundings, a little chilly at first but they gave us blankets and the seats warmed up. Glad we did it!

Wow! What a fantastic tour! Our guide was phenomenal! He was so informative and also had a great sense of humor which made the tour fun as well as educational. The palace is beautiful! An enjoyable visit to Hallstatt with an enjoyable guide

We traveled in a van with five other people. Our guide, Emil - I hope I spelled his name right - is a native of Vienna and very knowledgeable about the history and geography of the Salzkammergut region. We stopped for a coffee/restroom break on the way and again at a tiny castle, Schloss Ort, in Lake Traunsee. When we arrived at Hallstatt, we had a little over three hours to wander, shop, and have lunch. The boat wasn't operating because of the weather, and the tour operator refunded some of our money because of that. Emil helped keep the conversation interesting on the ride back, and we returned to Vienna in a timely fashion. I would book this tour with Emil again!

We had such a good time! All the wines were excellent, and hearing the winemakers talk about their processes was very interesting. We had Rudi as our tour guide and he had so much great information about Vienna and it's history, in addition to his knowledge of wine. If you are vegetarian, the vegetarian lunch is incredible!

This was a great tour. ...

This was a great tour. Our guide Taras had very good knowledgeable of Vienna and explained to us much of the history of the city. He was a good driver too! The tour of the underground lake was also fascinating. It was spooky and beautiful at the same time. It was interesting to learn all the things it had been used for; first, a mine, then , during WWII , a place to build plane parts, and then ,as a tourist attraction. The castle was neat to see. It looked very old and foreboding. It's too bad we weren't able to enter, though we knew this was the case.
