History. People should learn.
Very good tour with lots of informations.
We were expecting to see more inside of the castle. Rooms with furniture, weapons, armors, animals, but not in this castle.
Still, we are glad we took this tour.

The tour guide was great & very friendly. The castle is beautiful and very well kept. I enjoyed the stories and info he shared with us. Loved the gardens as well.

We had an excellent tour and learned all about the Hapsburg 640 year dynasty! Our guide Erry was really nice and funny and very knowledgeable! It was a great tour and definitely recommend it!

Andy is a terrific guide. We really loved the tour. The breadth and depth of his knowledge on the topic was really impressive. Highly recommend.

Schönbrunn Palace was one of the highlights of our visit to Vienna. The palace is beautiful, and the gardens are absolutely breathtaking.
Dieter was out guide and he was amazing—such a great sense of humor! We loved learning about the history of the Habsburg family and walking through the impressive grounds. Be sure to allow plenty of time to explore and purchase tickets in advance. A must-see when visiting Vienna!

Good guided tour of the palace apartments and some of the very large garden. Our guide was a little soft spoken so even with the listening devices it was sometimes difficult to follow. But it was great to skip the admission line and I wouldn't have missed this experience!

Raffa was a wonderful tour guide. He was knowledgeable, personable and engaging... the 2hrs flew so fast as he took us through the palace and gardens. I learnt so much that I would have missed out on without a guide.

Lisa was just marvellous and very informative. The tour was very well-paced and thoroughly enjoyable.
KATHLEEN_L, Jul 2026
Our guide was brief in his descriptions and he was difficult to hear even with head set. His historical knowledge was average at best as he repeated the same info during the tour. We can not recommend this tour based on the guide.

Dear Kathleen,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations.
Our guides are all licensed professionals with extensive knowledge of Vienna's history, and they strive to present the tour in a clear and engaging way. We also provide headsets supplied by Schönbrunn Palace to help guests hear the guide comfortably throughout the visit, although we regret that this did not work well for you.
We appreciate your comments, as they help us continue to improve, and we're sorry that your experience was not the one we aim to provide.
All the best,
Good Vienna Tours

We wanted to see the Palace during our time in Vienna. We were on a cruise and were staying on the Danube for 2 nights so I wasn't worried about missing the boat and decided to do this tour through Viator. Although we had to take a taxi there and back it was still a big savings.

Excellent and very knowledgeable tour guide who made the whole experience fun
Very easy to get to using public transportation
CECILIA_K, Jul 2026
Max was a very knowledgeable guide and spoke English well. He was able to explain the history of the palace and the garden with great insight. My husband and I were very pleased. The Shronbunn Palace is a place not to be missed.

It was a beautiful property with stunning gardens. The guided tour, however, wasn’t very interesting. We would recommend saving your money and just get an audio guide. Didn’t go anywhere that there weren’t others with the audio guide, so not sure what extra rooms the advert was referring to.

Amazing way to experience the palace! Our guide Eric was super knowledgeable and entertaining and really helped bring the history to life. Highly recommend this type of tour if you are going to visit the palace. We had friends who did the regular palace audio tour and they were not impressed....and we had this guided tour and it was incredible and definitely the right decision!
Helen_V, Jul 2026

This is a wonderful tour!! The contact was easy to find with the green umbrella, her instructions for check in were easy to follow, and she was an excellent guide. Very funny, and an easy story teller. Also very helpful if there were any questions or concerns. This is the best way to see the castle and to get a bit if the story.
Visra_S, Jul 2026
Very good & knowledgeable guide. Both the tour of the palace and the garden give you an idea how the kings and queens lived.
michele_m, Jul 2026
Ally was an excellent tour guide. The group was a perfect size . She made us all feel welcome. She is well traveled and was so informative. Never a dull moment on this tour.
Catherine_C, Jul 2026
Very heavy on the history which became repetitive and there was no garden tour which was disappointing
Janice_B, Jul 2026
Wonderful tour with a great tour guide. The palace was stunning and the history given to us during the tour was both educational and fun.
Marcy_R, Jul 2026
Fascinating place. Inga was an amazing guide. She made the history of the Hapsburg dynasty come to life. Not only did she share her encyclopedic knowledge with us, but she also added funny anecdotes. The grounds were both interesting and beautiful. The gardens are huge and too much to see in one visit. I am glad we went on this tour.
Alan_M, Jul 2026
Very nice tour / I’d personally recommend going an hour early , getting off at Heitzing have a coffee , then wander through the gardens to get to the fountain . Then after the tour exit at the other end of the gardens to Schönbrunn station
Karen_K, Jul 2026
This is the only way to tour the palace and grounds. Ask for the guide Inga. She is terrific…so knowledgeable… insightful… funny… and communicates so well! Bravo Inga!

A well organised experience, a good guide with all round knowledge exuding a great love for the palace and its history. Thank you.

Our guide Michael was very informative. He gave us great history points that made the tour even more enjoyable. You truly do skip the long line and breeze in for your allotted time slot. Would definitely recommend.
John_B, Jun 2026
Rafael our guide was both informative and had a great sense of humor which made the tour very enjoyable.
Jennifer_B, Jun 2026
Our guide, Eric, was fabulous. A very informative tour that was the perfect length to keep all of our attention. Definitely worth a visit!
Greg_S, Jun 2026
It was great. There was a lot of walking the palace is massive and the garden surrounding even bigger bring water and wear walking shoes especially if it is hot like it was for us
PohYin_L, Jun 2026
Billie was a good and knowlageable guide. Shes very bubbly and gave a lot of knowledge when bringing us around the palace and garden. Amazing experience that everyone should try once!
VALERIA_U, Jun 2026
Raffa was super insightful and humorous with anecdotes pertaining to the history of the artwork and the location in general. You are able to hear everything he is saying as they provide a headset enabling everyone to hear him clearly.
There is a lot of walking and climbing of stairs (I don’t recall seeing an elevator/lift) so prepare yourself and seniors in your group. Once in the gardens you’ll find plenty of benches to sit in (shaded arch ways are prime spots). Wear sun protection because that heat on your head or face is relentless. I wish I could’ve had more interaction with Raffa he seems to be such a great conversationalist. Now if you don’t like people who enjoy sharing their knowledge by vocal expression (keep it moving no need to be disrespectful to our guide). Thank you again.
