So much knowledge.

An absolute knowledge filled day. Walid crams as much knowledge in as he can and it’s well worth it. The whole experience is much better when off the bus and in the English speaking group. The Spanish group tended to not be quiet while Walid was speaking on the bus, so that puts a damper on things a bit. Overall a pleasant tour though.

Julia provided a full tour walking from 'Museum Island' through the center of Berlin to Humbolt University where Einstein taught, to the Brandenburg gate and onto the Holocaust memorial and Checkpoint Charlie. A lot of history and a little humor throughout the tour. We really enjoyed the tour. If you are booking through Viator, know that the meeting point is in front of Starbucks. We had a challenge finding the meeting point as it was not very specific in the instructions given.

Mikey is a rockstar

Mikey was absolutely fantastic! We went with a large group via bus and it was definitely preferred for us vs train. Before booking we debated whether or not to go since we thought content would be heavy, but Mikey did a masterful job with story telling and teeing up the concentration camp tour with historical context. Excellent tour, very sobering, we had quite a large group.

We met the tour group out at Sachsenhausen. We had our own car and did not want to take the train. We were sitting by the front entranceway so that we wouldn't miss the group, but the group came in a back door. I was so glad I had checked inside to make sure the tour guide hadn't already come in or I would have missed them. Our tour guide was excellent. Sachenhausen is very large. Wear good walking shoes. It was very sobering. Our guide (JR?) did an excellent job of presenting information and showing us photos to go along with his commentary. It was a hot day, and he made sure we were in the shade as much as possible. The only suggestion I have is that our group was quite large with over 25 people. Perhaps making sure that everybody has paid for the tour would be beneficial. I had one lady come up to me after the tour and thought it was an actual tour offered by Sachsenhausen. She had 4 people in her group. I wondered how many other people took a free tour, while others of us paid for it.

Absolutely brilliant tour. The itinerary is so well planned that the four hours fly by without ever feeling rushed. Our tour guide Yasmin is outstanding — funny, engaging, and perfectly timed in her delivery. Her explanations hit exactly the right depth: enough detail to feel enriched without ever becoming overwhelming. The coverage is impressively broad for a half‑day excursion. Great experience, and a brilliant way to start my first trip to Berlin. Jasper was an informative and friendly guide and gave us a top class walking tour. I can highly recommend this walk which had plenty of stops and was a very good introduction to the History of Berlin and it's geography.

Outstanding Tour Highly Recommend

The street food tour was excellent. Marta, our guide, was extremely personable and knowledgeable about the area we visited. She managed the time efficiently, starting and ending the tour on time. She took us to some very tasty places, including a traditional sausage in ketchup and curry sauce, a decadent pastry shop, an amazing kebab cafe, and a local beer tasting establishment. She shared a lot of information about the Berlin food culture and some of her personal experiences as an Italian living in Berlin. Overall, an amazing tour. Marta also provided several other restaurant recommendations, including one that serves the best lasagna outside of Italy. You’ll need to request her to get the name of the restaurant.

The tour was excellent, only that the tour guide should have wore a small loudspeaker so that participants around him could hear him well & enjoyed the narration. Dania was super friendly, funny and an all round great host. Plenty of knowledge of surrounding areas and consideration for food allergies etc. The food tour itself was very generous with portion sizes (we actually left full unlike some other tours we've been on). A great range of different food types and large selection of drinks at the last destination. Dania's recommendations and taste descriptions of typical Berliner drinks were spot on.

Unique and relaxing experience

This boat tour was a really lovely experience. My sister and I decided to do this on a whim and it was such a lovely relaxing activity. The guide was fantastic, such a lovely guy with great knowledge about the city and a good sense of humour too! It was really fun to see the city from a unique perspective of being on the river and they didn’t rush through it. The boat was comfortable and a smooth journey. You can order drinks on board (hot, cold, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks) which is a nice touch. The boat is easy to get on and off but there are some fairly steep steps to get down to where the boat is.

Outstanding private tour of Berlin — highly recommended

We had a complete private tour of Berlin with Jose on a cold and snowy day, and it was absolutely outstanding. Despite the weather, Jose never rushed us at any point. We visited Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp and all the major Berlin landmarks, and at every stop he provided very detailed explanations, including historical context, exact names, locations, and dates. His knowledge of Berlin’s history is deep and precise, and he presents it in a clear, engaging way. He made sure we were comfortable, answered all questions thoroughly, and adjusted the pace naturally without ever making us feel rushed. This tour felt serious, respectful, and educational, especially at Sachsenhausen, while still being very human and approachable. If you want a guide who truly knows the history and takes the time to explain it properly, Jose is the right person. We would 100% recommend Jose and this tour to anyone visiting Berlin.

Our guide Philippa and driver Markus made this a fantastic excursion. So knowledgeable. Being a British speaking guide was so helpful. Her history education made all the difference in the world. Markus sharing his story for escaping East Germany really put this area in perspective. The 2 of them made sich a wonderful team. We definitely will recommend them to all of our traveling friends.
