Fun and engaging concert at The Orangerie!

melvina_k, Jun 2026
We purchased the VIP ticket and we fittingly enjoyed a refreshing mimosa in the Orangerie before the concert! The orchestra was fun and engaging with the conductor leading audience participation for the final Walz numbers! The soprano and baritone were also stunningly talented - they made the experience extra special :)

Great concert

Kim_P, Jun 2026
Beautiful venue, beautiful concert. The only problem- the venue was very hot on a warm summer night with little ventilation. This activity is probably best enjoyed in the cooler months.

There are two options...

Darlene_D, Jun 2026
There are two options available for this tour so it can be confusing. The VIP pass allows each person a drink from the bar and a program. The program is 10 Euros by itself so if you think you want it and the drinks, buy the upgraded VIP pass allows each. The day we were there, it was 90 degrees outside with high humidity. The orangery was not well air conditioned. Also, we thought the program was going to be all classical music but it did have some opera numbers sung in German, which we don’t speak. Even so, the performers made it fun and engaging.

Nice to see but expected more

kerryj, Jun 2026
we had gold tickets but no one checking seats .people sitting anywhere .We towards back when should have been front. Not worth nearly $150 each .could have had cheap for same show

Not the Palace!

KC_C, Jun 2026
I guess I expected something special as it was in the palace. The Concert was enjoyable but I could have had it anywhere. While in Austria, I wanted only the Schönbrunner palace could deliver. But nothing like the magic happened, and the Orangerie is some makeshift hall that was built next to the Palace. So go there knowing what to expect.

My First Classical Concert—and Vienna Set the Bar Very High

Sean_M, Jun 2026
My visit to the Schönbrunn Palace Classical Concert was one of the highlights of my time in Vienna. As someone attending a classical music concert for the very first time, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the experience exceeded every expectation. The conductor and orchestra were outstanding, delivering a performance that was both technically impressive and deeply moving. The music filled the hall beautifully, creating an atmosphere that was elegant, emotional, and unforgettable. The musicians’ talent and passion were evident throughout the evening. If you have never attended a classical concert, Vienna is the perfect place to experience one. The city’s musical heritage comes alive in performances like this, and the setting at Schönbrunn Palace makes the experience even more special. I highly recommend this concert to visitors looking for an authentic and memorable Viennese cultural experience.

Calm evening

Not To Be Missed

Wonderful experience in the palace with a great program and a magnificent tenor A not to be missed performance in a perfect setting

Small room in the palace...

amy_w, Mar 2026
Small room in the palace no ambiance or special lighting in the room as the picture shows. A little disappointing!

Great concert

Gitte_K, Mar 2026
The music and whole experience was amazing - the atmosphere beautiful - went beyond expectations! Truly enjoyed it.

Tourists caused unfavourable experience

Marcia_A, Feb 2026
The musicians/concert was excellent but too many distractions with crowd conduct. Large group of tourists wearing hats to an indoor night concert. No cameras allowed but this was not enforced. Too much group talking. People moving into more favorable seats at break time to be closer to performance, tickets where priced based closest to stage therefore caused an issue with cheaper seats trying to move into the more expensive seats.

It was phenomenal. It was great experience. The Philharmonic was amazing and it was a crazy experience that I have never been to. It was Mozart at his best.

perfect

the staff were super friendly, the location was stunning and the music was so so moving. absolutely recommend.

Parduns Wien concerto

Michael_P, Jan 2026
Beautiful 90 minute concert featuring the works of Mozart & Straus! The venue felt a bit thrown together and while technically on the grounds of Schönbrunn Palace, it was NOT a palatial experience. The concert is held in a temporary area palace-adjacent (Orangerie)…in essence the garden building/shed. The musicians and opera singers were of high quality and we enjoyed the performance. The only shortcomings are the “ambiance” and exclusively tourist audience. I concede that it’s a tough time of year for music in Vienna.

We got a taxi to the venue but then on walking to find a pre concert restaurant noticed that there was plenty of public transport.

Mozart/Strauss concert at Schonbrunn Pakace

Andy_W, Jan 2026
We went to the classical concert with soprano and was very impressed, 2 halves consisted of firstly 45 mins of Mozart then a 20 mins pause then 45 mins of Strauss. We travelled using the Metro to Schonbrunn and the Orangerie was straight in front of the station. Only thing that wasnt clear was on our booking it tells you what your ticket gives you access for with a tick or a cross and we thought we had 2 free drinks,a souvenir programme & free cloakroom, this needs to be clearer in future .Definately would recommend this event

First the good stuff - we...

Milo_J, Jan 2026
First the good stuff - we got A class seats and it was near the front. Musicians are fantastic and they love what they do. Strauss and Mozart was amazing . Now the bad - the venue is mediocre and bland . The sound quality was not good - needs to be crisp and sharp especially violins. The interior was extremely hot . 30F outside but the inside was like 80F . I know it’s a European thing but it was uncomfortable. Only one exit and the lines to get your jackets at the end of the performance was extremely long .

Terrible venue and bad performance, total rip off

Banu_O, Dec 2025
We left mid concert, that bad. The sound is bad, the performance is super underwhelming. It felt like we were watching a high school show. Not worth the money.

Mozart and Strauss at the Orangerie

Alison_G, Dec 2025
We were in the Orangerie. There was a coat check and small bar available. The employees were very nice. The music was very good, conductor/first chair was personable and engaging, and both soloists were very good. There are some rather harsh reviews on here but I feel maybe those people were expecting this experience to be something it never claimed to be. It is, of course, not the same as going to the opera house for a performance; however for a small taste of Mozart and Strauss it was lovely. I read another review complaining of “plastic chandeliers,” which is simply untrue, as well as people not dressing up, which can be the case sometimes I imagine. At our performance, most people were in business or smart casual attire which felt appropriate; again, this is not the Opera House. I felt it was more than worth the cost, the program was quite professional, and I was happy with the experience. If you are looking for a grand evening out at the opera, this definitely isn’t it. If you are looking for a taste of classical in an intimate performance of high quality small ensemble music, this may be for you.

My Vienna dream come true!

Ruth_L, Dec 2025
The venue was small and intimate. The vocal soloists and instrumentalists were superb! You cannot top hearing Strauss’ Blue Danube waltz played in a Palace, in Vienna.

The classical music...

Yuri_B, Dec 2025
The classical music concert was great, and so were the opera singers. The settings was a small intimate space inside the Schönbrunn Palace. It would have been nicer if the event was staged in the Orangerie, as seen in the pictures. However the tour operator did warn that the event is subject to relocation.

Thank you so much for your review!🤗 Greetings from Schönbrunn!

The earlier you get...

Susanne_W, Dec 2025
The earlier you get there, the better the seating. I found the performance not exciting. It could have been sitting so far back in a long room. But i think it was the performance too which should have reached my heart more. Loved the lighting and the magic of that. During the intermission the wait was long. Had to gulp my water because i couldn't take it with me.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

First of all, sorry for the circumstances, we hope you still enjoyed your evening. What did you expect more from the performance? Thank you in advance!🤗

Good concert, Bad treatment

Jean_P, Dec 2025
The concert was very good but I signed up for VIP package from Viator and did not receive it. I was supposed to get free coat check, a free drink for my party, and a program. I received none of this. So I paid extra and got nothing extra. Viator please refund the extra money I paid for special VIP treatment.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Dear Jean, we are very sorry about that, could you please send me your booking confirmation number so that we can check what happened there? Thanks a lot!🥰

A classical experience

Ingrid_S, Dec 2025
I did not know what to expect regarding this concert and I was truly amazed by all of it. The selection of classical music from beginning to end was beautifully presented that ranged from Symphonies, Waltzes to Polkas. It was entertaining and at the same time powerful. The conductor personality was welcoming and even inviting audience participation. A great performance by a great ensemble.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Thank you for your great review & we hope to see you again!😍

Great time

Kimber_S, Dec 2025
Beautiful venue, easy to navigate, lots going on in December at the palace. We enjoyed the concert, it was truly lovely. The singers were fantastic! The light show was beautiful. A bit crowded at coat check and in the bar area waiting before the concert but the venue is limited in size. The coat check attendants were hurrying to get us out as fast as they could.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Thank you so much!!💕

Very poor

Andy, Dec 2025
Paid allot of money to have a reasonable seats. We were defiantly placed in the rear seats. It was very poor sound quality in the hall
