This was a beautiful musical experience with really talented musicians. The little church was ornate and cozy and the acoustics were perfect. A great way to spend an evening!
It was a beautiful, peaceful hour and ten minutes. In an AI world, it was great to listen to classically trained musicians.
Joyful and beautiful music from the quartet and a beautiful location for a concert playing Mozart and Schubert.
Absolutely beautiful setting and intimate concert of four amazing professional artists. The music was subservient from this wonderful string quartet.
The organists left much to be desired. While their performance as a duo on Liszt's Les Preludes was commendable and nice, the rendition of Bach's Prelude and Fugue in a minor, BWV 543 by one of them left much to be desired. The prelude contains passages of rapid notes in succession, which he absolutely ruined trying to show virtuosity by playing with abnormally high speed (like a maniac). The notes were unintelligible, a bad tangle hard to listen to. He completely killed the music and took all the enjoyment and appreciation out of it. During the fugue, which was played with acceptable speed, there was a continuous change of keyboards and stop sets, which were a real distraction and made it difficult and unpleasant to follow the movements of the subject and countersubject along the piece. There was an alternance of soft and hard pitches, playing the electronic console in a rather wanton manner, which ended up turning the fugue into a collage, rather than a coherent, solid set, which this piece is. My highest expectation from the program was precisely BWV 543, and it was my biggest disappointment. A magnificent piece was actually reduced to a show of organ voices jumping around and a very poor performance overall. These organists are sorely mistaken if they think that this mode of playing is acceptable, appropriate or even enjoyable. The organ is not a toy, and should not be used in this manner If Bach himself had attended this performance, he would have run out of the church screaming at the top of his lungs.
There were a few more pieces included in the program, but I did not stay to listen to them, I could expect anything better after having listened to the bad rendition of BWV 543.
Fantastic classical concert in beautiful St Anne’s Church! Performance was works from Mozart and Beethoven. Excellent musicians!
A wonderful intimate music experience in Vienna in the most beautiful surrounds. A short concert of 70 minutes left my non musical and interested husband wanting more and coming away agreeing it was well worth the time and money !
Front row was full more than 30 minutes before concert started. The music is great no matter where you sit; but prob won’t be able to the 4 musicians.
Beautiful church, intelligent selection of musical pieces.
Talented musicians, very dedicated. Enjoyed very much.
A well played preformance by the quartet in the small and beautiful church of St. Anne :)
Would recommend to others
A very accessable incredibly beautiful ornate church which added to the atmosphere of the concert.
The musicians played with passion which was wonderful to hear especially as they were pieces of music I was unfamiliar with.
A wonderful evening and one of the highlights of our visit to Vienna.
The concert took place in the beautiful St. Anne’s Church, and the setting alone made the experience unforgettable. The church’s intimate atmosphere and stunning architecture provided the perfect backdrop for the performance.
The string quartet was outstanding, performing a wonderful selection of works by Mozart, Vivaldi, and other great composers with exceptional skill and passion. The acoustics in the church were excellent, allowing every note to resonate beautifully.
The tickets were also very reasonably priced, making this an incredible value for such a high-quality performance in such a spectacular venue. Whether you’re a classical music enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable evening in Vienna, I would highly recommend this concert.
Musicians were top notch. Music choices were lovely, relaxing intricate and most enjoyable. The venue was perfect! Well worth the $ and time.
Very hot and chairs were very uncomfortable but music was tremendous but seating was difficult and the church was beautiful.
Excellent musicianship. The setting and the sound throughout makes no difference where you sit. It’s an easy and enjoyable moment away from your hotel.
Quartet was lovely. Very talented musicians and the church venue was intimate and gave the concert a different feel. Get there early if you want to sit in the front rows.
Fabulous venue. Excellent musicians playing some of history's greatest compositions. I can't think of 16 more characters.
Beautiful experience! Well worth it! The church was so pretty inside. The musicians were spectacular! Nice respite from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Beautifully performed classical chamber music (string quartet). Wonderful acoustics in a church setting.
Music was amazing! Very seasoned orchestra. But the vision was poor. If you are in the back you can see the standing performers (if that). Otherwise, lovely and worth it simply because the orchestra is amazing and the sights from the church are beautiful! Also the staff is friendly and progressional. Maybe put the orchestra on a stand for better sight for those in the back.
Get there early as it fills up. We got there at 7:20 for an 8:00 performance. Seating is first come first served
The musicians use historic instruments, which were explained by the leader.
Very much enjoyed by a receptive audience.
Thoroughly enjoyable chamber music in a lovely setting. Good musicians, nice choice of material. Suggest they bring in a raised platform to play on so people further back can see.
A lovely time listening to a string quartet play Mozart and Beethoven in a beautiful church. Accoustics were great
We arrived in Vienna today and had this concert booked as our first activity. The setting of St. Anne's church is absolutely beautiful and sets the stage for the music of Mozart and Beethoven. The Lerchenfeld Quartett features two violins, a viola, and a cello. They fill the venue with perfect music. We thoroughly enjoyed the performance and would recommend it to everyone.
The church is smaller than we expected. The pews were padded, but still very hard. The string quarter pieces were excellent.
Beautiful church & intimate setting for the concert. The musicians were very accomplished!
Consider sitting in the chairs vs the pews. Very close to the Metro
While it is not 100% wheelchair accessible, very easy managed with those with a cane. Such a beautiful setting.
Program was only 3 quarter pieces but each had 4-5 movements. The performers were excellent and the church acoustics was really good!
Very high qualità performance, excellently arranged programme, beautiful venue. Also moderate price for such a concert
