Hallstatt in a day.

This is a long day but well worth it - 12 hours. The scenery surrounding the area is stunning. Our guide Alexander did a great job explaining some of Vienna’s history, architecture and cultural heritage. Hallstatt is very beautiful even on a grey rainy day, though we did have snow covered mountains to compensate. Overall if you want to see Hallstatt then I would recommend this tour.

Picturesque trip, full of surprises

Wonderful day Trip from Vienna. Peter our driver was fantastic and we stopped off at a number of locations along the way to Hallstatt. The town itself was picturesque despite the heavy snow. When we arrived at the town a local guide took us around for a tour of town and had a brief history and pointed us to the places to visit, eat or take pictures. The ride home was long (only due to heavy snow) but our driver Peter navigated the roads well to ensure a safe return to Vienna. He was excellent and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Intimate Experience

It is a long trip, but the stop at the two small villages before Salzburg made it worthwhile. Stopping at these places were the highlight, albeit the stay was only 15 minutes. Salzburg was extremely crowded. It was good had adequate time to navigate the place including visiting the Xmas markets—hundreds of stalls. A last comment on our driver who was friendly and more importantly a safe driver. We also had a guided tour of Salzburg. I recommend this tour for those wanting a more intimate experience.

Great tour guide and a great tour. There was only about 4 of us on the tour and the guide took us around to all the places worth seeing. Salzburg is an amazing city. We had a fun tour with our guide Marco through the Wachau Valley and wine region. Because it was October, we started with a guided tour through Melk Abbey where we also had lunch. The highlight for me was driving beside the Danube and stopping at two wineries for a tasting of the lovely and well-made Wachau white wines. One of the most charming wine regions I have visited.
