The trip and tour to Budapest was the highlight of our vacation thus far. Balazs, our tour guide, is Hungarian and was personable, very knowledgeable of the culture and area, and willing to answer all questions. I would definitely take this tour again.

Wonderful tour of Buda & Pest Hungary. The Imperial Palace and Parliament buildings are impressive with >1000 years of history . Terrific food for lunch downtown and prices were reasonable. Beautiful fashion shopping district.

What a lovely day trip to Budapest with Balazs! We were a small group of 4 which made for an intimate setting. He was very professional, kind and flexible. Throughout the trip he would share recommendations as well as offer to take photos in between history facts which was much appreciated. Balazs was very welcoming and friendly and really allowed the group to guide the day. Budapest turned out to be one of my favorite places I visited during this trip. It was nice to meet Balazs and the wonderful individuals of the group!

A Day in Budapest

Our guide was Roman. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and funny. Although the weather was cold, damp and windy, the planning of visiting sites while in the vehicle and those while walking was a perfect blend. The van was clean and comfortable ... and just the right temperature after being outside walking around. Roman's suggested restaurant for Hungarian goulash was spot on. Try it, you'll love it. The length of the guided tour and the sites visited, along with the free time was just enough for us to see the city without feeling rushed, and still capture the vibe of the city and learn it's history. Overall, we recommend this guided tour if you want to see the city but don't have much time to do so. Roman was the perfect tour guide and driver, keeping us safe, comfortable, and on schedule.

We picked up White Alligators for our 12 hour Budapest day trip in a small group of 6 guests. Roman, the chauffeur cum your guide arrived on time to pick us. Though we could get only the last row, his sensible driving made us feel ok with the journey. We had our short walking breaks (DIY) at the Castle district, The public Garden near memorial, and free time after the last point at Marriott Hotel. The city was rustic, beautiful and had its own character unlike many Capital cities.

I had a memorable experience exploring Budapest in a single day. Our tour guide (Roman) was very organised and offered valuable information throughout the journey. The long drive to and from Budapest (Approx. 2.5 hours) is worth it. I recommend bringing along your phone usb charging cable as the car has usb charging ports.

Great experience ! This is a great excursion for anyone who wants to see a bit of Hungary but only has one day to visit. Zoltan was a great guide and we had a lovely little group with us. The van was new, clean, and made transportation from Vienna to Hungary very comfortably.

A Great Tour with a Great Guide

It was a leisurely trip out to Budapest with Zoltan in a comfortable Mercedes Benz 9-seater. As a Hungarian, he shared interesting local insights that gave us a better understanding of the city and culture. However, also typically Hungarian, his driving style felt very aggressive at times. The itinerary also included a lot of free time, perhaps a little too much - especially since both the Citadella and Ruszwurm (listed stops) were temporarily closed until further notice. Lunch time was about 1pm but there is a stop at a petrol station and McDonald’s for “breakfast” at 9am.

Great Day Trip to Budapest

We had a wonderful time seeing Budapest! Marcos was our guide and has a great sense of humor. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. We went to the main sights in Buda and then Pest, followed by free time. Each stop had a good amount of time and insight given to appreciate it more. We got lucky with the weather, making the day even more enjoyable. We ended with the Citadella view, bringing both Buda and Pest together in the same shot. That was a great idea to culminate the day! I highly recommend this tour.

Migraine and motion sick by the end of the tour

First off, let me say our tour guide, Zoltan, was very friendly and I genuinely enjoyed him and the information he shared while on this tour; however, that is where the positives end. We were picked up in an 8-seat minivan. That means 1 passenger seat next to the driver, 4 bucket seats in the middle of the van, and an uncomfortable rear bench seat. I was one of 2 unlucky people to have had the privilege of sitting in the rear bench seat that’s roof was low enough that with every bump, acceleration, and rapid deceleration (of which there were many) my head hit the roof. For reference I am an averaged size woman 5"7" tall. The car was full with 7 people but after reviewing the company's tour size again in the description I discovered they allow 8 people on the tour which means that if the tour would have been sold out there would have been 3 people in the cramped back row that had no air conditioning vents and was quite warm at the end of June. Just because there is "technically" enough seating to fit 8 people does not mean you should. The comfort of the guests should be taken into account on a tour of this duration not just the bottom line. I have been on tours in other cities where the tour vans were significantly larger and therefore much more enjoyable. The trip to Budapest is 2-3 hours there and 2-3 hours back. Plus we got caught in traffic on the return so the duration in the van was even longer. That is far too long in my opinion to be cramped in the rear of a too warm van with erratic acceleration and deceleration and your head hitting the ceiling. By the time we got back after a 12-13 hour day, I had a migraine and was motion sick. We had a second day trip scheduled with this company to visit Prague, but this tour was so uncomfortable and unenjoyable overall that we canceled and booked a wonderful tour with a private tour guide we also found on Viatour.
