We had a truly wonderful day! I went with my mother, and we enjoyed every moment. Aleksander was a very knowledgeable guide who shared many interesting insights about Vienna and its history. Our driver, Gennadiy, was very careful, and the ride was smooth and comfortable. We arrived on time everywhere. Overall, a great team — we will definitely look out for more tours!

Tour guy Lily is very friendly and provided us lots of fun stories and history about Austria, making the 4h bus ride easy to pass. Frequently stops on the way also make the bus ride doesn’t seem long at all. Hallstatt is extremely beautiful and is easily my favorite place in Austria better than Vienna.

Bus ted out!

John_C, Jul 2026
Good tour, the scenery was beautiful but the buss tour was very long. Make sure you are up for 3-4 hours on the bus in each direction.

Bring cash. Sophia was an excellent tour guide. She shared interesting stories and tidbits. She had a positive attitude. Was very approachable and friendly. Very knowledgeable. It was a nice touch to hand out salt to each guest and ask about how their experience was on the trip. She was a wonderful tour guide.

Great tour

Alexander did a really nice job keeping everyone entertained during the long ride. hallstatt was definitely worth it. Beautiful town - would highly recommend this tour.

Vienna to Halstatt Day Trip

Kelly_S, Jun 2026
Our guide, Sofia, did a great job managing a completely full bus load of tourists! She kept the schedule running on time, and provided interesting information along the way. Thanks for a great day!

Perry_J, Jun 2026
The Best thing about this tour was our guide, Alexander. He was humorous, informative, and did his best to make this all day trip fascinating. He was truly amazing. Unfortunately, the sites themselves were letdowns. We felt some of the stops were little more than tourist traps used to give our driver time to rest as required by law. Prices were high because they are visited by tourists. Hallstadtt itself was a letdown with many of the restaurants and stores closed when we were there. Frankly, I would not recommend the tour for the 13 hours it took and the cost. However, once again, our guide Alexander was the sole highlight of the tour. If he is available on any other tours, grab him !!

Great day tour to Hallstatt

JuanPablo_M, Jun 2026
Excellent tour! we enjoyed one of the most beautiful and stunning towns in Austria and in the world. Our tour guide Olga, was a great addition to the tour, very knowledgeable, and she guided us throughout the journey and up until the end offering advise and tips for our remaining stay in Vienna.

Overall not too bad. The tour made it easy to get there and back. I thought the time in Hallstatt was too short relative to the length of the trip. I thought that we wasted time at a local castle which was probably not worth it. Also there were way too many people with only one tour guide.

Lovely day in Hallstatt

Helen_S, Jun 2026
It was a long day but worth it. Our guide Olga was the perfect host. Everything ran to time but the day didn’t feel rushed. Hallstatt is a beautiful village where you can enjoy a boat ride, stroll the streets or just sit at the waters edge and relax

Great Hallstatt Day Trip

Rafael_D, May 2026
Hallstatt is a fantastic destination, definitely worth visiting. The lake and town are beautiful. There is also an interesting museum with artifacts from Neolithic and Roman times. The boat trip around the lake was also fun. The trip from Vienna takes about 3 hours each way, but the time goes by quickly with a couple of scheduled stops along the way. Our tour guide Lilly, was very nice and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this day trip.

Not worth the time

Prasad_K, May 2026
Firstly, about Hallstatt: I have traveled to a lot of countries in Europe. Have seen a lot of small charming towns. However, Hallstatt is just small, that’s it. Neither is it beautiful nor is it magical. Moreover there is nothing to do there other than an ordinary boat tour, which too wasn’t any fun. Many other towns across Europe are better, so if you have traveled in Europe then I suggest you skip this tour. About the tour: the bus was uncomfortable for the long drive as it was vibrating near the back. There were no seats assigned. Folks were changing seats at every stop. There was some friction between the passengers over this. Families were hogging window seats. I saw a family of four sitting in four window seats. This could have been avoided by assigning seats in the first place. There was a 30 minute restroom stop while going and returning. I think that was unnecessary while going because the next stop after this restroom stop was just 30 minutes away. This tour and the town of Hallstatt is not worth the time and you can go to some other place during your Europe trip.

Sophia was an amazing guide! Super friendly, great information and would highly recommend. It’s a long day but was still worth it.

Fantastic scenery!

Mary_S, May 2026
Our guide Olga was excellent, very knowledgeable, entertaining, helpful, I needed the wheelchair and she was very helpful with our tour. Kept us very involved on the long drive to the Hallstatt

Hallstatt a beautiful 16th-century village

Margaret_D, May 2026
It is 300kms from Vienna so an 8am departure arriving at approx 1pm at Hallstatt then depart at 4pm back in Vienna at approx 7.30-8pm. It is beautiful even in the drizzly rain. The amazing history of their salt mining can be seen in the objects and displays in the museum.

Beautiful town and great guide

John_P, May 2026
Sofia is a great guide. She accounted for every possible situation and provided great information re the trip and all the sites. The town is beautiful.

Everything went well...

Enn_L, May 2026
Everything went well until we were awaken and forced out of the tour bus for the last bathroom break when nobody wanted to go due to exhaustion. We all stood outside for 17 mins waiting for the bus to return.

ASMAA_O, May 2026
I had a wonderful day trip to Hallstatt on the 11th of this month. Lily, our tour guide, was absolutely amazing, her calm voice and beautiful storytelling made the experience even more enjoyable and memorable. She shared the history and details in such a captivating way. A special mention also to our driver, who was efficient and fast while always ensuring a safe and comfortable journey. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend this tour!

Day in Hallstatt

Subrata_J, May 2026
Very good , guide was excellent, knowledgeable, driver was good. But bus was very uncomfortable with tight leg room. Door does not close tightly. With shattered driver side window. Boat ride was not necessary taking the time away from seeing the beautiful village

Good day

MyLifeasGigi_H, May 2026
The town is very beautiful There was tons of food options and lots a little shopping stores to go into

WAGDY_R, May 2026
Our excursion was truly unforgettable. We began at a quaint restaurant with one-of-a-kind amenities that left a lasting impression. Next, we strolled around a serene lake, taking in the tranquil atmosphere. Hallstatt was simply breathtaking! Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and patient, translating commentary into two languages. Although we weren't dropped off at our hotel as planned, the alternative location near the Opera House was conveniently close to our accommodation.

Long day, but it was worth it to see Hallstatt! Lilly our tour guide was knowledgeable and provided good information about the region we traveled through. Smooth drive to the Alps.

Sophia is the best tour guide!

Kevin_K, May 2026
Make sure Sophia is your tour guide because she is extremely knowledgeable and helpful! Also, Hallstatt is a beautiful village!

Magical Day trip!

Sophie_A, May 2026
We recently took a day trip from Vienna to Salzburg and the fairytale views of Hallstatt Long day, but 100% worth it—mountains, lakes, and postcard-perfect streets all in one trip. Our tour guide Lily was very nice and friendly, so glad we got to meet her.

A day trip to Hallstatt from Vienna

Juan_B, Apr 2026
it is a long ride between Vienna to Hallstatt but it is worth it. We stopped for a very short time to see the Ort Castle and the lake. Beautiful place and beautiful pictures then we arrived to Hallstaff and enjoyed 3 hrs there. Fantastic. But what it made it better was Olga, the guide, she was very good. In total a very nice day.

The perfect experience!!!!!😍😍😍😍
