Brigitte was such a delight when touring us around the Christmas markets in Vienna. She was very knowledgeable and we appreciated her little tidbits of history throughout the night. She was very engaging and personable. Not many tour guides care to ask for the individual names of their clients, but Brigitte made sure that was the first thing she found out when she met us! She was very patient while we were walking and we aren’t used to walking in Vienna’s winter weather, so it was nice to feel like we weren’t being rushed around. Brigitte is aware that some of Vienna’s sights and happenings are being catered to the increased tourism in the city, so she made sure to show us and bring us to places that exhibited the authenticity of Viennese way of life.
Before leaving us for the night, Brigitte made sure to give us specific directions for the quickest route back to our AirBnB where she met us. Would definitely recommend for future tours!!

Travelers should know that this tour is much better and deeper than a simple Christmas Market tour. Walter is a scholarly tour guide who took us to numerous Christmas Markets, big and small; public and remote; old and newer. He shared concepts about Paris architecture, politics, culture, international influences, food, city government and infrastructure. We loved every minute and will book again next year. My wife and I are quite familiar with Vienna as we've visited the city several times and have grown to love the beautiful Christmas markets. To make our latest visit even more special, we decided to book a private tour of the markets with a local guide. Our goal was to experience the holiday atmosphere like true locals, gain some insights, and learn about the differences between the various markets.
Luckily, we were able to book Brigitte as our guide. From the moment we met her in the hotel lobby, we felt like we were meeting an old friend. Brigitte took us to five different markets, and along the way, showed us some hidden gems that we would never have discovered on our own.
We had a wonderful time with Brigitte, and before we said our goodbyes, she gave us some fantastic restaurant recommendations that came in very handy.

Our tour guide Brigitte was excellent. When we arrived at the meeting point, she was already there waiting for us. It was a rainy night, however, her knowledge of the area, and gems of the city, allowed us to see the markets, stay relatively dry, and seek shelter at historic sites when the rain or wind was too strong. This tour was our first activity in Vienna, and a great start, given her extensive local knowledge. I highly recommend her services.

Although we love to start our tours at the “doorstep” (hotel, vacation home etc.) – but for afternoon-/evening-tours may start at any chosen meeting-point (café/restaurant).

Hello,
While our guide was able to help us negotiate the streets of Vienna and find the Xmas markets, we did not feel that she was engaged or enthusiastic about the markets. Of course the markets were crowded, but she did not make the visits interesting or fun. We would have like to hear about the history of the markets and to have had suggestions about food to try etc.. Instead, we felt as though it was about her personal feelings regarding crows, quality of food and better places to visit..

You booked a 2hrs. introductory walking tour “Markets & Lights” – which covers 4 markets and ends 6.30pm. at Rathausplatz. – Where usually our guests find time to shop and taste AFTER the tour.
Dani extended the duration well beyond the two hours, added a fifth market and ended on Karlsplatz, close to your hotel.
There was time to shop some commemorative cups and for three tastings.
Our team always is reviewing all feedback aiming to improve our tours.
In this case we think Daniela was well exceeding the booked service in content and duration.

Our favorite inner city hotel – the Patk Hyatt – poses a challenge for us guides, as it’s in the middle of everything.
Glad Sabine was able to make the two hours worthwhile.
We provide two hour arrival evening tours – “Aperó Tours” – as a pre-dinner option all year long, but during the pre-Christmas period they shine.

Tour guide met us at our hotel. We criss crossed old town. He provided insights into some of the local sculptures and architecture. We had a sausage from a street vendor. Visited Stephens Platz, city hall and a few hidden gems along the way. Tour guide has a sense of humor.

This was a very good tour. Walter, our guide, asked what we were most interested in and shared information and stories that would be most interesting to us. He not only knows the area well, but has a lot of history and stories to share. He also had a good sense of humor which we enjoyed. Great tour see the area and learn how to get to the noteworthy locations in old town Vienna, so a great tour to start your visit to Vienna with. It is not as much about the Christmas markets as I thought it would be -- you do walk through them but you don't spend any time in them or learn about them -- but it was a great tour and I highly recommend it. The tour ends in the largest Christmas market, so we had plenty of time to walk through it and shop after our tour.
