I have no idea why people put negative reviews of this tour. It was fine, clean busses which were punctual and a good recorded tour guide. Having done many city bus tours this was as good as any other.

Overall, it's convenient, a good value, and stops at most of the main tourist sites but be prepared for potential longer-than-advertised waits at stops for the line you need to get to specific locations. In one case, I waited a full hour at a stop which, when you have just one day in a city, is a frustrating waste of valuable time.

our first of many hop on, hop off tours around the world that did not have a live tour guide. It was hard to follow along with the recorded commentary, it was a little out of sync with where we were and it was difficult to hear, especially when other participants were having their own loud conversation.

The bus had very little air conditioning. The tour did not match the tour descriptions. We were not going to stop at some of the locations we had researched and were hoping to see. We hoped off and did not return. Others we spoke with on our tour had the same experience.

The location of where to redeem your tickets is not clear and the kiosk where they redeem it took 20 minutes to process (while I apologized to others in line) bc their machine couldn’t read the bar code. Embarrassing for them and for my family. There shouldn’t even be a need for the ticket redemption process, just issue digital tickets!

The Yellow Line bus which left the Opera at 2:30 or 2:40 PM DID NOT STOP at the Hauptbanhof. The driver drove right past two buses that were already there and kept going. When I ran downstairs there were two workers besides the driver. I asked why they didn’t stop and he said “We didn’t know anyone wanted off.” I said “How could you know that unless you stop? We wanted off.” Then he said “Well, you can get off at the next stop and walk back.” which would have been over a mile. I finally had to make them open the doors at a stoplight, which he didn’t really want to do and we had to walk half a mile back to the Hauptbanhof. You should fire all three of those guys.

This was a good investment. However….wifi on the bus was advertised and did not work. We were counting on this. Also, several of the headphone ports were not working either. Luckily the bus wasn’t full and we could switch seats until we found a working port. Overall, worthwhile in order to see the sights.

I just couldn’t believe the smoke of cigarette in the hop in and hop off . We were upstairs and we couldn’t breath . It’s December the 7 th 2023 and it was really dissatisfying the experience. I have asthma and felt horrível .

I've used Viator many times and had been very satisfied EXCEPT this time. I was so diasappointed with the HOHO bus driver in Vienna. First he could not speak English, 2nd he was on the phone all the time while driving talking to somebody. When I ask him where we are (because we don't know where we are - we're tourist!) he was very snobbish and did not want to be bothered while talking on his phone, so I waited until he was on a stop to ask. When we stopped, he was still very hostile, acting like he was pissed-off, never stopped talking on his cell, pointed to the brochure while talking in some foreign language to me (I don't think it was German). I tried to make sense on where we are reading the brochure map but could not figure it out. We waited until we got a stop where there are some stores and people and we got out. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED! Will never recommend these people. AVOID!

N on voucher and had to walk a very long way to retrieve them so booked them again from the hotel reception where they gave us. a voucher which we gave to the bus driver and he gave us our tickets - why oh why couldn’t Viator send us this voucher by e-Mail so we could have done the same - appalling service and will never use them again!

I wasn't able to get any good photos of the sights from the bus. However, I think the Hop On Hop option is a very practical and helpful option for traveling to and from the major sights of an unfamiliar city.
