Nice tour

Jose, took us through history of VonTrap family and places where movie SOM was filmed. Unfortunately we had terrible weather with rain and fog so we couldn’t see too far. Especially around Lake District. Still, it was great tour, singing on the bus and laughing at Jose’s jokes. He really enjoys his job and love to talk about the VonTrap family.

Chef's Kiss

I thought this was one tour in one swoop but it was two and both were worth it. Our guide for both Hallstadt and Sound of Music were top notch and funny. The journey there was worth the price alone as you see the most beautiful parts of Austria. When you get to Hallstadt, the ferry says its RT but they pick you up at one part and drop you off at another (so you can shop) so don't time it so close that you miss the bus. Also, avoid the ATM by the fruit stand (ate my card) but the fruitstand people found me on Facebook after my card spit out and I got it back. Support them for sure - right across the street from bus drop off. Oh and ferry ride was lackluster, check out the town instead and buy some salt. Sound of Music Tour was so educational and the group was more fun as we experienced a sing a long on the way home that had you thinking, why don't I see along at home? It takes you to so many of the spots in the film though all quick stopovers. Truly recommend this beautiful country and this tour.

This tour was incredible! We had perfect amount of time in each spot and definitely was one of the best days on our Europe trip. Fritz was also a great tour guide! He promptly picked us up and told us lots of stories/history about Austria in the car. We pulled over on the way for some amazing views. He gave us do’s and dont’s in both Hallstat and Salzburg which helped us avoid the tourist traps (and ended up eating delicious food with his reccomendations). Overall, a must do while staying in Salzburg!

Our guide for this excursion was excellent. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name but he was very informative and shared a wealth of knowledge with us about his country and the sites were visiting. Magical Evening

Unbelievable experience, especially for the price. I booked the classic experience (not the VIP). Because I assumed we would be eating at the same tables for the concert, and we like the acoustics better from the back. Turns out that dinner is outside, in the back of the fortress and overlooks a beautiful valley and alps. Concert is inside the fortress. Our classic food menu was good (had to pay for our drinks). If you book VIP you get front row seats at the restaurant, and a menu with food options, some drinks included. Our classic seats were still fantastic, and our waiters were exceptional. Concert was amazing! 90-minutes, and performed by highly skilled, professional musicians, not students.

Great overall orientation to Salzburg. Very informative about history, culture, religion, and notable people including Mozart. Beautiful gardens, Architecture, charming plazas, etc Mostly flat, probably about 1.5 miles+ walking. We had a great time. You don’t have to be a big classical music or opera fan to enjoy it. The musicians and vocalists were talented. They also injected some humor and engaged the audience. For banquet food it was good. The format worked well as they alternated music sets and dinner courses. It’s a large room so the closer you sit to the front the more you’ll enjoy being the performance.

Jose- great tour guide and great bus tour

Fantastic trip with Jose! The trip to Hallstatt was one I will never forget! The scenery on the way was absolutely beautiful and when we got there it was perfect timing as it was relatively quiet so managed to get a few nice photos without the crowds. It was a little on the pricier side for a bus trip however it did make things so much easier as we had over 2 and a half hours there which we felt was more than enough and the bus also dropped us right in the town. It was a boiling hot day, mid 30’s and there was enough shade and a lovely restaurant close to the bus terminal. Jose was our guide on the trip and he was so funny and was lovely. Towards the end of the trip he went around everyone and asked how everything was and if he could give any recommendations for when we got back to Salzburg, he did that with everyone! What a lovely gentleman! Would recommend this trip! Thank you Jose!

What a great day we had with our guide Antonio. While we expected information about the sights, Antonio's knowledge about the making of SOM and all the locations we saw was next level. What a fun experience! Our driver, Andreas, was a great guide as we made our way to Berchtesgaden and the mine.
