Very well planned and organised trip. There were a couple of stops on the way for using toilets and having food with plenty of time. Smooth journey to the beautiful Halstatt. Our guide, Mark, was very organised and attentive. We had plenty of time in Halstatt and went to see a castle by the lake as well. Brilliant experience.

Dieter really did a fantastic job in telling the story of Adolf Hitler and his association with Vienna. He took plenty of questions on the tour and had answers to them all. The pace was slow and comfortable everything was explained in detail. We both learned a lot on this tour especially about Austria's involvement in both world wars especially the links with Hitler.

Worth seeing.

Long day because of the 3 hour drive each way, but we stopped places to see them and also use restrooms. The towns we visited were beautiful. Lakes were worth visiting. Peter our guide and driver did a great job explaining the history and giving information about these places. Salzburg was worth seeing. We had a local guide there who showed us old town. The guides were all patient. The group was only 4 people. The van was very comfortable.

Well planned itineray and...

Well planned itineray and execution, just wished we had more time at each place but understandably difficult because of the long drive from and back to Vienna. Our guide Sophia is not only knowledgeable but friendly and patient. We also had a superb driver who gave us a smooth and safe ride all the way. Overall a very good experience.

We did the Hallstatt Guided Day Trip from Vienna with the boat ride option, and it was a highlight of our trip. The instructions for getting on the bus were seamless and very smooth — no confusion about where or when to meet. Our guide Alex was excellent: knowledgeable, engaging, and kept the energy lively the entire day. You could tell he genuinely enjoyed sharing the history and stories along the route. One tip for future travelers: be back at the bus on time. Drivers in Vienna operate under strict driving-hour regulations and have to stay within a set number of hours per day, so a few passengers running late kept the group waiting and put unnecessary stress on our poor driver. Just something to keep in mind so everyone can help the day run smoothly. Hallstatt itself was absolutely beautiful, and the boat ride was fantastic. There was a small hiccup with the boat option along the way, but the company handled it well and made things right — everything ended up going smoothly regardless. Overall, a wonderful, well-organized day trip with a guide who made it even better. Highly recommend.

Departure was on time. There was no opportunity to fill or buy water before we boarded the train and one chance before getting on the bikes. Once should be enough but just in case you thought you’d ‘wait’. Don’t. Nicholas was very knowledgeable and each vintner that we met was a charismatic and engaging person. The story of their wines and vineyards is fascinating. The bikes were in tiptop shape and easy to ride. It is an all day event so bring a backpack or small bag with sunscreen and a few snacks . Lunch was good but only 2 choices. If you’re selective or have a dietary need tell the guide and they’ll be sure your needs are met.

As good as advertised

The tour was as good as advertised. It is indeed a small group, only 7 of us. Our tour guide Balazs is very knowledgeable and attentive. We were able to stop by most of the top tourist attractions in Budapest. If you have only one day and know nothing about Budapest, this tour is the way to go.

A perfect quartet

We arrived in Vienna today and had this concert booked as our first activity. The setting of St. Anne's church is absolutely beautiful and sets the stage for the music of Mozart and Beethoven. The Lerchenfeld Quartett features two violins, a viola, and a cello. They fill the venue with perfect music. We thoroughly enjoyed the performance and would recommend it to everyone.
