Who knew we could actually mage good pasta!!

We had a blast with our guide/instructor, Lea! None of us ever made pasta before and now have great appreciation for the art of pasta making! Lea’s instruction was clear and she gave us just the right amount of help when we needed it while allowing us to do most of the work ourselves. She was funny and patient, and facilitated a fun time with our entire group. It was a great way to spend our last night in Florence. Our meals were truly delicious! Our cooking class with Maria was the highlight of our trip to Florence! Her home in the Tuscan countryside is beautiful and it was lovely to see the landscape outside of the city. Great experience buying and making authentic Italian food. We made lasagna from scratch including the pasta layers and ragu sauce. We also made Tiramasu from scratch. Our host, Roberta, was engaging, friendly, talented and full of information. The wine flowed, samples were tasted and we were full from our wonderful creations. The morning/afternoon we spent in this class was one of the highlights of our 2 week Italy trip.

I was with my sister, my two daughters and my mom, and we were the only ones at the Cooking Class, which made for a very special experience. You felt like you were in someone’s home and they were just teaching you how true Italians make their meals. It was not overcomplicated – just simple, delicious dishes that you could easily make it home! Highly recommend!!

Great Afternoon Learning to Make Pasta

Great experience learning to make pasta with Sebastien. He met us nearby his apartment and we went back and learned a lot about making pasta. As a Venetian, he had interesting insights on the city and cooking. He has a beautiful redone kitchen with spectacular views of the canal which made the experience even more special. I would recommend this tour to any one interested in cooking and looking for something a little different in Venice.

Incredible. It was only us 2 and the chef, Pietropaolo. He was amazing. He taught us so much and we already knew how to make pasta from scratch. His tips and methods elevated it so much. 2 pestos, multiple pasta shapes, tiramisu, and lemoncello. After we ate, he sat and chatted with us and had some lemoncello. Could not recommend enough. Worth every penny.

Brilliant pasta making class

Great day at the pasta making class! We learnt how to make fresh ravioli by hand. Simone was brilliant, really engaging with each member of the group and taught us all his Nonna’s tips and tricks. He demonstrated how to make other types of pasta. The ravioli was combined and cooked by Ricardo, while we worked together as a group to make tiramisu. Unlimited free wine was on offer throughout, which you could help yourself to. The class was relaxed and enjoyable, ending with a beautiful 3 course meal of bruschetta, homemade pasta and tiramisu.

This was the best day ever! We cooked 4x dishes (1x appetiser, 2x pasta, 1x dessert) and these were paired with 3 wines, plus we had a 4th wine while we cooked! Cooking and having lunch overlooking the winery was magical! The castle/fortress tour was also super informative and really enjoyable! Gaia was our hostess for cooking and she was AMAZING! Alice was our tour guide for the castle and she was FANTASTIC too! We had the best time celebrating a birthday here! Can’t wait to come back!!!
